Jessie thank you for your Christian base novels there not overwhelming just enough, it helps people to look at themselves in areas where they might need change, and most of all that communication is key to a great relationship and of course love. Great story that brought tears to my eyes even the 2nd time through. I, also, read it a while ago but enjoyed Jay's reading of the story. That helped me catch little gems that I missed the first time.

The part of the story that says, "people used to think that leeches heal". You may want to look up " The healing power of leeches and maggots in hospitals". They can do some things better than modern medicine can. I guess God made them, so there's that. Great story writing and narration. These are practically the only books I listen to. :)
Interesting! I'll have to look that up. Our vet was actually saying that he'd been involved in a treatment of a horse's leg wound where they used maggots. It was a last resort because nothing else would work. It was a success. I really didn't know that was a thing, but I'm curious now. Thanks!
I loved this book. The pen pal letters angle. The football player and the small town girl. And oh, the activities they did together! Priceless. Such a sweet and unconventional romance. Audio: Man. I’ve been waiting for this Iron Man comp by Dyess for a while. Super excited to hear it because I loved reading it! Lately I've listened to a few other narrators because I've been waiting for another Gussman/Dyess audio. I have to say, I've been extremely disappointed with what else is out there. Dyess has ruined me for other narrators!!
Spoiler alert I am seriously disappointed in this one. I am wanting to reach through the “book” and smack the two main characters. They have no interest in winning the competition. All they want to do is waste time talking. All I want to do is kick them out of the competition. I truly hope Jessie doesn’t make any other main characters so clueless. I have loved every other book she has written, including the earlier ones in this series. But this section in this book is really irritating. If they moved right along, the talking would be fine. But for such a competitive man, he is not too bright.

Haha, Colleen, I had to laugh at this - I just told Jay yesterday in the book he's recording now, I had such a great time writing the kiss scene, but I was like, guys, quit talking and kiss already! Sometimes my characters just don't do what I want! But, with that said, you are absolutely correct - they should have been more concerned about winning. (Although...come to think of it, I've participated in things multiple times with couples who were more interested in each other than they were in whatever the group was doing... ; )
