    RODA DE ISABENA
Roda de Isábena is a small village in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. Situated in the region of Ribagorza, it is approximately 70 kilometres northeast of Huesca city and nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains.
The village is renowned for its historical architecture, particularly the Cathedral of San Vicente, which dates back to the 11th century. This Romanesque cathedral is one of the smallest and oldest cathedrals in Spain.
Its well-preserved structure includes a cloister, a crypt, and a museum housing religious artifacts and artworks. The cathedral's bell tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, adding to its appeal.
Roda de Isábena's layout is typical of a medieval village, with narrow, winding streets and stone houses that reflect its historical heritage. The village square, Plaza Mayor, is where locals and visitors gather. This picturesque square is surrounded by charming buildings and offers a tranquil setting that captures the essence of rural life in Aragon.
One of Roda de Isábena's notable aspects is its peaceful and serene environment. The village's remote location and small size contribute to its quiet atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life. The surrounding landscape of rolling hills and lush greenery provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and bird watching.
Roda de Isábena is also part of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, adding to its historical and cultural significance. Pilgrims often stop at the village to visit the cathedral and experience the village's unique ambiance.
