    I have this pattern and have made it multiple times and love it. The last time was a few years ago and was going thru a divorce and had no money for Christmas for my kids but had fabric. So 2 of them got a quilt and my oldest was in the Army and in Iraq and couldnt really get gifts. This pattern has a special place in my heart cuz i was able to make 2 of them in just a few nights and quilted, wrapped and under the tree.

      That is a great story. A quilt is such a wonderful gift - I'm sure they still love those quilts. And it is wonderful you were able to get through a tough time with this pattern. :-). Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs.

      @@aprilscraftroom yes i came thru the other side stronger. Games and sweatshirts etc will be out grown or out worn but a quilt it timeless. I just might dust my pattern off and grab a handful of fat quarters and go create. April i just love your tutorials and always wait for the bloopers at the end. Its so great you put those in to show you are human and can have oops too…❤️

    This is one of the quilt patterns I bought a couple months before my home burned & all was lost! I have only made 3 quilts since then. Heart/desire was taken out of me. It has been a long road, but I'm beginning to finally get it back!!

    Loved the video! I have had this pattern several years but have yet to make it. I was an accountant for many years and the haphazard layout of the blocks doesn't compute with my brain. I NEED a plan. I could play with the layout for weeks, put it together and it would still bug me. LOL Thanks for sharing!

    • @aprilscraftroom
      @aprilscraftroom  3 роки тому +1

      I get that. I have friends who are quite structured and making decisions about where to put blocks would blow their minds. LOL. And at first it blew mine, too. Thank you for watching.

    • @suefliss7210
      @suefliss7210 3 роки тому

      I totally agree! My brain looks for patterns and this would drive me crazy. On the other hand, it is pretty mistake proof. Your blocks really only need to all be the same size, , ,and however you put it together is fine. So no getting anything in wrong. I'm sure it would be good for some, but not for me.
