    Once again, another awesome video . Sorry to read you’re selling it. Got the same year Z4M myself and took a lot of your advices into considerations. Really enjoyed your approach to ownership. Keep them coming til you sell, please. 😋 Looking forward to your next toy. Cheers and keep driving.

    Glad I'm not the only one who detests parking lot autocross. The infield at Lime Rock is awsome but admittely I've only ever driven it in a kart, which I would still highly recommend. Best of luck with the next step.

    Totally agree with you on what the car offers and how it still delivers a great experience - it’s why I’ve had mine 10 years.
    It’s not without its quirks, that’s for sure, but the package as a whole is pretty compelling in todays world. It’ll be a tough car to replace without spending a small fortune, another reason I’ve had mine so long!

    • @BuzzytheBlue
      @BuzzytheBlue  Рік тому +1

      It’s exactly why I’ve kept mine so long, to replace it with something “similar” but better basically requires a jump to Porsche or something like an M2 Comp.

      @@BuzzytheBlue I had a Z4M from 2008-2010 and I regretted not buying it off lease. I had an M2 Comp for 2.5 years also until Feb when it got totaled by a guy that ran a red. I never felt the same way about the M2 Comp. I am about to look at a used Z4M so we'll see if it's rose-colored glasses or not. If I don't get it, I will end up with a G87 M2.

      Thanks man! Not really certain at this point, I don't think it's the right example for an auction honestly. Given the modifications and slightly higher miles I think I'll just list it myself. In a future video I may even open it up to viewers at my "friend price" before I list it publicly.

    Really bummed to hear you're selling and even surprised you're hoping to replace with a Boxster S. Would like to hear more about that. I have an '06 Blue M Roadster with Stromung axle back exhaust. It's so awesome and I tell myself all the time I'll never sell but one never knows. I actually thought of maybe going to a Boxster Spyder in 5yrs or so but I can't think that would be that much more fun. Will be interested to hear from you when you get a BS...sorry couldn't resist. I'm sure you'll do a reflective video comparing the experience

    • @BuzzytheBlue
      @BuzzytheBlue  Рік тому +2

      It would actually be a Cayman for me, I’m sure I’d love a Boxster to continue the top down experience, but my time with the roadster has really made me want something that I can use more frequently. My thought is to get a Cayman S and use it as an everyday car, as opposed to my M which was exclusively a special occasions/fun outing car.

    Hi , question about the rod bearing , i am seeing a m roadster with 100k miles at a private dealer so there’s no service record , let say if the rod bearing already has wear on it , do I just install some new once in it and call it a day ? Does a wear out bearing cause any internal damage even a new sets won’t fix ?

    • @BuzzytheBlue
      @BuzzytheBlue  2 місяці тому

      They can technically be seen as a “wear item”. While they can and often do last well over 100k miles, that’s about when I’d want to replace them. Afterward you can do oil analysis with each oil change to monitor the health of the new bearings. Given that the new bearings should get you to about 200k miles I kinda doubt you’d ever need to do them again. For your last question, no a worn bearing doesn’t cause damage continually, but a worn bearing could eventually spin, potentially causing huge damage that new bearings would NOT fix. So it’s a “do them beforehand to eliminate that risk” kinda thing.

      I get the sentiment but my car has been maintained way better than average 😂 I have enjoyed it yes but I’ve also got like $7,000+ of maintenance receipts, rod bearings included. (And that’s all preventative, it’s never flat out broken on me) It’s only issue is that I don’t have the time to use it lol
