Never understood why the bull nose never got any love. One of the best looking trucks Ford build IMO. My grandfather owned a bull nose that looked exactly like this minus it being 2wd and a long bed. Watching this video brought back memories of that truck!
It takes people time to realize what looks good. Peopled loved the new 80s camaros over the 60s and 70s camaros. That's reversed now. The bullnose fords were everywhere. Now that they're getting scarce, they are starting to turn heads. Much better looking than anything made after them in my opinion.
So reminds me of my '80 f150 shortbed w/400 big block. So many memories. My first love, but my wife won... :) nice truck, beautiful restore! Congrats! Love the story! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome Bullnose 👍🏻🤙🏻💯. I’ve owned mine for over 20 years. I’ve been a Bullnose fan for ever and that is a very nice one. Great job 👏🏻. 👀 in East Tennessee 🇺🇸
He can say it’s just a 302 and not be lying. I love bull nose fords I have a red 86 f150 2wd, black 83 f100 lariat and a 84 f150 gray and red 4wd explorer.
@@Anthony-rz6uw Bull Nose is the 80-86 model. Brick Nose is the 87-91. Aero Nose is 92-96 No idea why its called the Bull Nose. But the Brick is called so because the headlights and grill are very blocky. And the Aero is short for Aerodynamic front ends. Interiors of all three generation vary greatly.
@@johnnymula2305 hey Johnny thanks very much i appreciate that. ive noticed the difference with the interiors. im actually looking to buy a gen 3 bronco either fully restored or one i can restore myself. im in Sydney Australia. but i have decided to buy a truck from the states, our broncos here dont have the interior options ou have in the states.,,, Im assuming you are from the states.
@@Anthony-rz6uw nice! Yes im from the states. Arizona. Similar to Australia, except we dont have dingo sized insects. 🤣 Theres a youtube channel called your neighbor Chris. Hes a good source for parts. He ships out of the US too.
I had an 85 F250 Lariat with the 6.9 diesel. I sold that to a friend who begged me to buy it and while I am happy for him it still breaks me heart to not have that bullnose 4x4 beast in my driveway. Great truck!! Nice work you put into this.
This is Beebo, and the craziest thing just happened to me today at work. I was telling a buddy of mine about this truck and the one that I had.in School and pulled this up luckily... sweet truck Rude
Awesome truck! Correction that is a mind blowing truck - probably the best 86 shorty I've seen! Took me a minute to realize USS Alabama in the background, very cool location.
Nice truck! My dad had the same one but black with a 4inch lift after he had a 79 lifted and then a lifted Toyota for a year traded that for the bull nose. But only had that for about two years when he had to sell it when my parents had me.
Man, I wish I still had my old 82 single cab long bed F150. I'd love to have another one of those old bullnose trucks. Not sure if I'd go coyote or just a custom built 351W, guess I'd have to have the truck first to worry about that, but awesome awesome job on this build man. Gorgeous truck
My everyday driver is a 1985 F-150 Lariat. All original, 302 2v with 145k miles. Wish it looked this nice, but definitely my favorite Ford truck body style.
Mannn i miss my old 86. Got it off an old man who worked with my wifes grandfather for $750 he drove it only to church because he said "didnt matter how big she was I could always find me a woman in a truck to cook me dinner." Mind you he was never married. Once I had my first kid I sold it and missed it ever since. Now that Ill be OTR for a bit here soon I have plans to get another one. I love this thing.
Definitely subbed I love the content wow I feel as if I'm home.i bleed blue man since I was a kid.me and pops always working on his old 79s loved his broncos I will definitely love some of them if u ever need ideas
I'm doing the same build. Can you steer me in the right direction as to mounting brackets and all other parts I need? I have a Coyote 1st gen from a truck and a 5 speed manual transmission for it.
I’m making a plan to do this swap on my bullnose bronco, if you got a way to show how you got the transfer case/ front axle figured out that would be a life saver👌🏻 great looking bullnose
where can I find those same door panels?? Im also looking for the black trim on the side of the truck that go on top of the aluminum. appreciate your help! great truck (:
Shame it’s not a stick, but other than that she’s a sweet build. I’m a GM truck guy but my first vehicle was an 86 F-150 4wd so this one hit the nostalgia button.
I have a 82 f150 and I haven’t seen any other ones around here. I have 2 square body chevys and there is a lot of them around here. I don’t understand why there are no fords around like these anymore
Just got a beautiful 84 bullnose Stepbed! Thinking of doing the same! So I know you said use a mustang swap, what Gen would you say works the easier to mount?
I'm looking to build my 85 f150 as a street strip truck. My question is have you ever launched the truck in 4x4 and if so how's the twin I beam front end hold up? Thanks
Ford produced those 7th generation F-series pickups from 80 through 86 & same with the fullsize Broncos with that same body style. Nowadays I very seldom see any of them on the roads.
I daily drive my 85 f250 larrit with 460 ,c6 trans danna 70 rear and all matching numbers, people always stop n wanna talk about it,others ask how I afford fuel.
Can someone please reach out to me? I have a 86 bullnose in New Orleans that I need help/inspiration with. I don’t want to waste money on restoring it without an understanding of how you got this truck to look so amazing.
That's a really nice truck it's been done up really well I have a couple rare f100s I have 3 1982 Ford f100 with 3.8l v6.. and a rear 1987 F150 with 5.8l v8 step side.. I just put a video up and I have a couple other videos check it out and tell me what you think.... and I'm looking for a good Stepside bed between 73 to 1987 the beds are all the same or thing is different is the outer fenders and the tailgate but I have is rotted were the wood in the bed meats or in bolts together..... hopefully I get to go to Lone Star Throwdown next year and battle of the Bama I didn't get to go this year.....

Had an '83 SC LB in college, loved that truck. 300-6 4-spd with no AC, but still loved it.
Mine had a baby blue one. It was a perfect truck. Back when a truck was a truck.
Not sure where you’re getting your info from. But the Bull is very sought after. The Brick is the one thats least liked
80 to 86 was my favorite Ford body style. i had a 86 F250 that was very nice
Right on
Honest to God, that might be the most beautiful truck I've ever seen.
Absolutely love that body style man that's nice sounds great to

Reminds me of my old truck but that truck is outstanding. Love that year model wish Ford would make it again.

Shoutout to BB-60 with the photobomb.
ford would make a killing if they remade these old bodystyles with new power trains
Awesome truck I love the color red
what a truck that is!!!
What’s the advantage of supercharging the coyote vs twin turbos?
supercharger gives you instant power where a turbo needs to spool up. supercharger is also easier and less complex to install and tune
