- Now that Capcom has released all weapons as layered in Iceborne, people will want to start using all these weapons as layered. However, the journey to unlock every single weapon as layered in Iceborne can be a long one, so today, we go through how you can unlock ALL Layered Weapons in Iceborne!

Word of advice:
Currently, one weapon is only available to players that played during the year 1 appreciation festival thanks to appreciation tickets.
These tickets have not been dropped since that festival.
The Second Fleet Lance wasn't added on this video due to this reason, I'll pin your post so people are aware that they need appreciation tickets for it which is a Festival Exclusive item, not an event one!

We really need more unique HH designs in this game in my opinion. Out of all weapons, HH seems to be the one that lacks unique designs the most!

Shara Ishvalda isnt unlocking I've hunted it multiple times and have gotten many gems but still no layered weapons, any advice?
From what it sounds like, you're missing the Guiding Lands Materials. If you already have the Shara Gem, then you need to get Elder Spiritvein Bones and Great Spiritvein Gems from Tempered Elder Dragons in Guiding Lands. You'll defo need to go for Tempered Elders for the Elder Spiritvein Bone however for the Great Spiritvein Gem, you can do Ode To the Destruction Event Quest instead! Hope that helps

one question, you are using a mod or a setting config like seeing your character through the monster?
You can go to settings, and there will be an option to show player outline when being blocked by a monster. By default it is turned off, took me a whole year to figure that out though.

I’m new to Iceborn & I’m looking for when do I actually unlock the literal layred weapon tab? Do I have to finish the campaign for Iceborn? I unlocked layered armor but not layered weapon.
You need to have access to the endgame content which is past the final monster of the story. So unless you've fought the final story monster, you won't be able to access layered weapons. Beat the story of Iceborne and you'll be given the info on endgame content! Hope that helps!

I second this. I have Ace Hunter and Hunter King Coins as is required, but the option to make the Workshop layered weapons isn't showing up.

Sorry if I missed it in the video, but I didn't see any mention of Xeno'jiva? How do you gain access to its layered weapon appearance - I have seen it on other videos
Xeno weapons are template weapons, you should have access to it straight away. Use a base template then go to the monster parts and xeno's parts should be there!
How about the normal nergigante weapon? Regular Nergigante can't be found in the guiding lands from what I know
Hi, thanks for the informations in the video. I actually looked it up because I would like to know how to unlock Alatreon's layered weapons. I have completed the assignment und got one gem from him and even made 2 weapons with his mats (even though I didn't finish them). I am very deep into Iceborne and augmented many weapons so therefore I got every single guiding land mat including lv7 stuff. I have not finished the event quests with Alatreon (but I will because I need his LBG and some armor parts because I am a sucker for elemental sets for bows and Switch Axes and main Dual Blades) if anything changes after that I will update this, but does anybody know if this or which thing is required to unlock his weapon designs?

EDIT: maxing the alatreon weapon for each type should unlock them respectively. Oh btw I literally slap him now solo as I am a DB Main. Wish that I could do the same with Fatty.

@@andremichael1329 oh thank you. Lol. I didn't do this because I didn't gain any wings from slaying it multiple times. Tomorrow should be the fire one for me and I only have a kjarr db build for ice. Because hunting it with randoms is frustrating and I pretty much memorized all of his attack patterns I am going to form him then. Funny coincidence

I have done the event quest for bristly pincushion hammer. it still doesn't show in the layered weapon tab in augment. I just forged it instead. how can I make it a layered one. I'm using a lightbreak hammer
Right now the only thing I can think of is that you might not have Spiritvein Solidbone or Spiritvein Gems. I would advice hunting a Threat Level 2 Tempered Monsters in the Guiding Lands in order to get them so you can unlock the other weapons with those materials required!
@@ChronoPinoyX yes as I am currently grinding the guiding lands. but I completed the juicy well-done hammer event and it showed in the layered weapon list. it has the same requirements to forge I believe.

@ChronoPinoyX listen man, bad attitude to have. Especially when you do repeat yourself WAY more than necessary to reach that 10+ minute optimal algorithm video length. Basically did the intro 2x but with a transition in between.
And you don't even tell people how to forst unlock the layered weapon system which is why 90% of people came to this video.

Does the armor work this way too? I have very few low and high rank layered armor and zero master rank other than a few event armors.
You won't get any master rank armour from the guiding lands right now but if you watch the developer diary they tell you all the master rank armour will be layered in october

Is there a way to get vaal hazak's hammer in any method other than having lvl 7 rotted region and killing tempered blackveil vaal? I don't care if it's the hr vaal hammer or mr vaal hammer
If you're looking for the standard version of the Vaal Hazak Hammer, you'll to get the standard Vaal Hazak Gem for it and some Tempered Elder Materials frol GL (Elder Spiritvein Bone and Great Spiritvein Gem).
If you want the Black Veil version of the hammer, unfortunately you will need to go through lvl 7 Rotted Region as you'll need the Tempered Black Veil's Material to unlock it

Once you get all the required items and craft them to maximum available rarity, you should be able to use them as layered

How do I unlock Xeno'jiva layered weapon parts? I have layered weapon feature unlocked, I have the tundra and volcanic region in GL etc. I am MR 61. Someone told me I had to craft the weapon before I could then unlock it as a layered weapon, so I crafted it all the way to the highest level, and still when I look at the layered weapon tab, its not there.

But what if you already have the materials of the layer weapons but still can't get it i have some like lit i can get those but the others i can't get i can see them and the materials are there i don't know
Some weapons will require you to craft the highest rarity version of the weapon first before you unlock them as Layered. An example would be Alatreon Weapons, which you need the Rarity 12 weapon for before you can unlock the layered.
If you have all the materials from the monster but don't have the layered option instantly, try crafting the weapons first and then check the layered list again. Hope that helps!

You'd need to have Iceborne and finish the story of Iceborne to access the contents for layered weapons
