I work at a hotel. Always always always lock your deadbolt. Everyone who works at that hotel has access to your room and we have had a few mistakes happen where someone at the front desk has given out a key card to the wrong room. If your deadbolt is engaged NO ONE can get in. Period.
My friend was on a trip with some of her work friends and they check in to their hotel, open the door and they hear the shower running and a laptop sitting on a desk.....front desk gave them the wrong room oops!!!!! We lose money over that and upper management gets on the manager's case even though it's not his fault. So, to sum all of that up, please for the love of god, obey the rules and don't smoke in the room.
Police are incredibly lazy. What probably really happened is they drive by twice,didnt see anything, and immediately left. I mean they have busy night ahead of them. Eating junk food and ignoring calls.
Story 13: their parents are literally the worst parents in history. What decent parent leaves 2 little girls alone at a hotel allowing them to swim n walk around alone then turns their phones off?!! I have ZERO patience for parents like this.

Second thing you have to do is always to be patient with yourself. Can never improve when stressing out and hostile with and at yourself when it's not going right the first few tries. Take a break for a few hours or a day and try again later. That's why he has gotten way better at telling stories.

In Sept. 1999 a young boy died when he and his brother were attacked by a man who used a toilet tank lid and leg chairs to beat him to death. This happened in Owensboro, KY at Gabe's Tower Hotel. I was only 14 but my cousin, who is 5 years older than I am, was working as a maid there when it happened. I can't remember if she told me that she and her friend/coworker were together and discovered the scene or if it was just the the other woman who went in to clean alone. But I do remember her telling me about that day and about having to clean that man's room often and how he'd always been really weird so she never went in there by herself. Understandably, it really messed with her and she had to leave that job soon after. About 3 years later, my parents and 12yo brother were living at the tower and I would stay with them often because our parents were serious addicts and would allow me to drink and do the hoodlum stuff my grandma never let me get away with plus I got to see my little brother who still lived with them.. My brother would spend a lot of time just hanging out in the halls and in the stairwell. I always worried about him when I wasn't there and never let him go by himself if I was there. I never experienced anything paranormal or anything, but always hated that place and the creepy vibes it gave me. Just the reality of what had happened and the fact that it was a popular place for meth heads and other unsavory characters who, like my own parents, stayed there long term because it was so cheap and no one really cared what you were doing. They finally tore Gabe's Tower down last year!
Protips: If you're staying in a hotel/motel, make note of the color(s) of the staff uniforms. DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR FOR SOMEONE YOU DONT KNOW. If they claim to be from the front desk, or housekeeping, tell them to use THEIR KEY to open the door. Those "swing bar" locks on hotel doors can be opened from the outside, using only duct tape and a rubber band (look up "latch loiding"). Don't be like the idiots in these stories. Stay safe.
Yes lots of idiots in these stories. The story tellers voice is very good but if people really are as foolish as these stories present them they can't be true. Maybe sometimes but the population was dumbed down in the 1980ies or these stories are made up. Lots of the same words used so I'm thinking the writer's are due for some more education.

I went to a big resort hotel in Side, Turkey with my family when I was 17 and the male staff was VERY flirty with me and other girls/young women, honestly often to the point of being creepy because they were so persistent. I even got a rose too from a waiter, although it was made out of a napkin 😂 I really don’t think hotel staff should act that way, it made me super uncomfortable since I was so young and didn’t really know how to deal with it. There was also an older man who claimed to be a photographer hanging around the hotel, I don’t know if he was some kind of staff or what, but he wanted to take “bikini photos” of me on the beach at night - thankfully my mom immediately shut that down.
In Turkey, some males , until 18 years old will not lay eyes on a woman that is not their mother, sister , auntie, or grandmother . I've spoken to young men who were raised this way. They are raised that all women , especially women from outside the country, are less than human, disposable & are nothing but chattle & commodities.

I made this same comment elsewhere, as though I'm not Indian and I live in the US, my mom comes from a developing country. Every country has its shitty places whether it be slums, red light districts, or just certain neighborhoods where the locals know that's where you go to find drugs or prostitutes. So yeah, it's a definitely on them for picking a shady hotel out in the middle of nowhere.

I had the same thing happen to me in a Phoenix hotel a few years ago, like in story 12. I thought it was strange and it left me very unsettled. Same kind of guy, disarming, flirty.
Had to be an inside job. There is no other way to have had both name and room number of people staying only one night. It was the night shift/manager or an accomplice they fed the info to.
Disarming, ingratiating people make me instantly suspicious. Unless you live in the South or the Midwest, it's unusual for someone to be so friendly. Even so, I'm from the South, so I know the difference from general friendliness and crafty "friendliness."
That last story tho! No weapons, nobody chased, no paranormal events but the creepiest story ever.. I could picture those 3 freaks and it's wiggin me out!

Its a made up story. Why would someone pre pay before checking anything about a hotel? And also, they go to india every year and yet they dont know what hotel to stay at? Its a fucking fairy tale

I made this same comment elsewhere, as though I'm not Indian and I live in the US, my mom comes from a developing country. Every country has its shitty places whether it be slums, red light districts, or just certain neighborhoods where the locals know that's where you go to find drugs or prostitutes. So yeah, it's a definitely on them for picking a shady hotel out in the middle of nowhere.
It's better to say double-check before staying anywhere in this world

I had the same thing happen to me in a Phoenix hotel a few years ago, like in story 12. I thought it was strange and it left me very unsettled. Same kind of guy, disarming, flirty.
Had to be an inside job. There is no other way to have had both name and room number of people staying only one night. It was the night shift/manager or an accomplice they fed the info to.
Disarming, ingratiating people make me instantly suspicious. Unless you live in the South or the Midwest, it's unusual for someone to be so friendly. Even so, I'm from the South, so I know the difference from general friendliness and crafty "friendliness."

These stories makes me grateful for my parents that took the time to teach me how to spot a creep or bad situation. Sadly a lot of these Scenarios could of been avoided if parents teach their kids this stuff. Yes its an uncomfortable talk but necessary especially in these times
