That second story was ridiculous. Obviously fabricated by a northerner who’s only conception of the south is in terms of the civil war. I’ve never once heard a southerner call a northerner a Yankee in a disparaging manner and I’ve lived in Atlanta for my entire life.
Is “Look here you uppity yankee, if you make one more complaint I’m gonna kick your backside all the way back across the Mason-Dixon line.” really how northerners think southerners talk?

I say y’all, reckon, and what not but I also say ca-fee (coffee), woter (water), Lavatory (bathroom) and bubbler (water fountain) so idk just Bc you’ve never experienced it doesn’t mean you should be quick to discredit others.

I've had sleep paralysis, and it's scary...it can feel real. BUT, the person who shared that was seriously over dramatic. A nightmare is not "worse" than a situation with shootings and death, actual break ins, kidnapping, etc...
Especially considering it was followed by a story about a person with breast cancer being in a hotel during a shooting, then a stories with actual dead bodies.

    • @Leanne_w
      @Leanne_w 5 років тому +10

Just because you don’t feel like it’s as worse as real things. Doesn’t mean that it’s doesn’t feel worse to that person.

@Benny Glock, For a start , I’m a survivor myself. So I don’t need to go and ask anything at meetings.

I used to have sleep paralysis when i was 8-12 years old. To me sleep paralysis is being able to hear things near you but not being able to move or breathe. 1st Story: Oh no the hotel guy sat on the lobby chair with pee pants. Ok, in all seriousness you should report all things criminal or even suspicious like an attempted robbery, kidnap, even just a person hanging around where they shouldn't.(Notice that I didnt write "creepy" person- reason being that there are many very normal looking even good looking people who are very evil and who have done horrendous things! Often these "normal" looking criminals are the ones that don't get caught or not until they have large numbers of victims racked up!) Please report these things as the PD needs to know that there are these people around. They can up the patrols, investigate further and MOST importantly warn other potential victims. Imagine if the hotel auditorfound out that a week later a neighboring motel auditor was killed in a robbery. One last thing re: regular looking people getting away with crimes. Example , Ted Bundy spent a whole summer day trying to lure young women from Lake Snohomish Beach to help him with something at his car. He of course looked all preppy and he used a fake cast on his arm. Many women didnt take the bait but no one called police because he looked so normal. He was able to abduct and kill 2 girls in 2 seperate murders that day. Took one into the mountains and murdered her etc..., came back to the same park and took another girl and murdered her. Imagine if the first girl who said "no" called the Police? Ted may have been caught or at least those 2 girls wouldn't have been murdered. Ok all done.

Have you been avoiding the news lately? Kids today don't know if they want to be a girl or a boy one day to the next. They think white milk, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and insomnia are racist. They wear pussy hats on their heads to celebrate murdering unborn babies. Halloween costumes are appropriating culture and they'll tell you all about it while dressed like leprechaun's and sipping green beer at the local Irish pub on St Paddy's day. So is anyone surprised one of them has a nightmare and they claim it was a life changing trauma they require drugs and therapy for PTSD to overcome? Snowflakes.

I’ll say this, if there is ANY realism to that, then get some “cleansing” from people who will remove any spirit attachment, if you really fear it.
Overall though, you sound like a fairly negative person, possibly depressed, and during our dreams, we often experience an anima/animus, it’s a concept explained by Jung. “The Hag” sounds almost like a dark version of the concept - the idea of a life-giving female (your inward feminine energy) turning toxic and/or a general fear of women (like your mother). It could be worth talking to a shrink as well. Mother issues and fear of women to the point of intimidation is not uncommon in the subconscious; it drives some to kill.

I used to work for a service for parents who's kids don't want to go to college. I got paid $2,000 a pop to go down to their dead end job, put on a balaclava, and scare the fear of God into them. I never brought a gun though. I just wore black gloves and mimed it.

I live in St. Louis MO. Branson MO is one of the best weekend vacation places. There is a variety of different attractions, shows and of course Silver Dollar City. Crap like what happened can happen anywhere. You can't judge a whole city by a single bad event happeneding at one hotel!

LETS READ! STORY #2: applause for the hillbilly dialog. While you don't sound southern (and believe me you don't want that curse) you made me stop and laugh at work for the way you executed it beautifully. I can totally picture a pissed off drunk dude getting mad at an "uppity yankee" for wanting some peace and quiet.

One thing that really grinds my gears is the incorrect use of “mortifying”; horrifying describes something which evokes horror, whereas mortifying is a fancy word for extreme embarrassment. Experiencing creepy events isn’t cause for extreme embarrassment, it’s cause for horror.
To all future writers: don’t use words that you think sound smart- it’s probably not well-implemented, even in the rare occasion you know the perfect context for it.

Before my parents met, one of my mom's jobs was as an overnight auditor. One night, she received a call from one of the rooms from a woman who had been raped. When the woman left her room for some ice, she used the little latch thing to keep her door slightly open. Meanwhile, a man snuck into her open room and assaulted the surprised woman. Afterwards, she called down to the front desk for assistance and possible help catching the man. It was very traumatizing for my mom--and no doubt the guest-- in the middle of the night. However, I feel like I have learned a valuable lesson about abandoning my hotel rooms when I am alone...even if I don't plan to be gone for long

I worked at a hotel for a little over 2 years during college and it was one of my favorite jobs ever. Unfortunately I had to call the cops late one night due to a drunk man trying to check in. He came in friendly enough, but after trying to get a discount that I wouldn’t honor, he started seeing red and threatened me with his gun at home, said he was “gonna kill someone” as he walked out the door and was back about 20 mins later. I had already called the police, so the second he walked in the door he tackled and taken away. Thankfully he didn’t have his gun on him, but I’m glad I didn’t have to find out what his plan was when he returned.

The girls who were fooling around about their age with older men that story didn’t really sit well with me. They lied about their own age and were flirting around with older men. It’s all fun in games till you meet the wrong person.

Story 4 breaks multiple truth codes:
#1 - WAYYY too much detail - fake
    #2 - Movie-like script - fake
    Who remembers dreams that vividly?
For example of a story of a legit dream I had when I was younger, I was in my parents bedroom after sharkboy and lava girl dropped me off from target (idk i just saw the movie and they were in it dont ask me why i was a kid) and i slept on my parents bedroom floor (something i did when i was scared) and this big furry long nosed monster came from the far side of my parents bed to try to get me, I woke up. I don't remember the smell of its breath, the feelings of its hands, etc. That is all I remember. Sharkboy and lava girl, the target logo, and the furry beast that constantly haunted my dreams when I was a kid, always coming around from some corner lol

The dude says he couldn’t identify the guy who put the gun to his face in the first one then says if he ever encounters him on different occasion he would thank him for not shooting him
Why tf would you thank him
How tf would you thank him if you don’t know what he looks like

Im sorry but those girls were stupid. The ones that were lying about their age. Why tf would u just swing open the door without looking out the peep hole, THEN proceed to walk into the hallway🙄. She was lucky her family was right there.

I have a BBA in marketing and now live in Florida. Performance reports either meets or exceeded expectations. Never late and had one sick day in three years at last job.
I now am a night auditor as no one seems to want to hire me. In FL seems to be who you know vs what you know. I made 16k as a full time auditor. Had two guns pulled on me and chased once around the property with a meth head and a broken beer bottle. MGMT told me I am replaceable the money is not.
