Mexican Free-tailed Bats

There’s a certain winged mammal that comes to mind when we think of cave-dwellers and those who take flight in the dark of the night. That’s right, we’re talking about bats! But are bats really something to fear? To find out, we went to San Antonio and met up with Fran Hutchins at Bracken Cave Preserve where we learned some not-so-scary things about the migration of Mexican free-tail bats and why bats in general are so important.
