Altho the game is titled, "Horrified," this was one of your videos that I was able to watch without dread. I already have the game, so I had no fear that your siren call would compel me to purchase it!
Despite the hint you gave us in the latest Patreon video [anyone reading this who is not one of Cardboard Rhino's Patreon supporters, what are you waiting for?!], I nevertheless enjoyed the scary font on "Rhino Says Yes!" in the intro. Also, the crashing noise when you pretended to throw an item was an unexpected bit of fun.
I've only played two or three times [curse this plague!], but I enjoyed each play. The different ways for defeating each monster are cleverly done. I can't wait to play against the monsters I haven't gotten to yet.
Thank you, Eleni, for another enjoyable, informative, and entertaining video. Dracula flying over the board at the start was particularly appealing. Looking forward to the next video!

That's an impressive beginning. Being a fan of 50's b movies and the 30's/40's generation of horror films, this game has enormous appeal for me, but seems to be difficult to acquire in Europe, other than at insane prices.😕. Hope springs eternal though. Cheers Eleni, great review. 👍

We really enjoy this game & have taught several family members who aren't gamers with great success. We put it on our 9x9 challenge for 2021 & have already played 6 times. A very fun game with quite a bit of variability.

@@CardboardRhino I live in England London city. Things are 10x harder with covid and England ppl are not so into board games sadly.
Love this game
Played this with the wife last weekend and we made the rookie error of forgetting that emptying the bag of items acts as a timer so we lost the game that way. Doh! Anyways this is one of the few games which I liked so much that I painted the minis. Totally agree that both gamers and non-gamers will enjoy it.

@@CardboardRhino Hehe yeah we came close to the win. We have won it before against 3 monsters and my only advice (for what it is worth😁) is to try to focus on one monster to get one out of the game ASAP. However it's very tempting to gallop around the town doing a little bit of everything (gathering all the items, helping all the villagers, hindering all the monsters etc.). It's a good game, even our wins were very close.

If one were to produce a UA-cam Ad to help sell and promote a game, would you be available for hire to be in front of the camera? Just thinking out loud at the moment, but I don't think that my ugly mug in front of the screen would help sell anything (except maybe an appointment with a plastic surgeon, lol)

Hi Sir Hamalot! They are very different games. Pandemic is def a classic now, however, I'm not a big fan personally. Horrified is a good choice if you like the theme and you can play it with almost anyone.
I rhino, I was wondering is there a reason why your patreon goals are a number of patreon per month and not an incoming amount of money like most people use. Because right now, people who goes for the top tier of donation help you reach your goal as much as somebody who goes for the lower tier. So I was wondering if there was a reason ?
Hi there! A lot of creators use number of patrons or a mix of patrons and amount for their goals, so I'm not sure if there is a norm in that or if there is good reason behind it that fits all. Personally I don't think the goals metrics matter for people who want to support my channel, as in if I was close to hitting a money goal I don't think this would influence the decision of someone in terms of which tier to join - people join the tier they can support and I'm super grateful for it in any case. Of course the higher tiers are a bigger support and help towards the goal, but the reasoning behind preferring this kind of goal is mostly the fact that I think having the sense of a community supporting you is just as important as completing a certain amount of money threshold. The generosity of people especially in this hobby is incredible, I'm amazed by it every day and especially by the higher tiers patrons! I don't think my decision for goal metrics can underestimate their support, I hope it doesn't at least! I hope this helps :)

No problem :) So you think I should use money goals to value more the contribution of higher tiers? Or is there other reasons as well for switching to this potentially? Im pretty new to this so I welcome new ideas
@@CardboardRhino well it's just that underneath your goal there's a text that says what you would do with that amount of support. When you show a number of patreon your goal and text feel disconnected. For exemple, with 150 patreon you would be able to be full-time youtube that's a number between 525$ if everybody is low tier and 3 450$ if everybody is high tier.Your text tell what you would do with that amount of support but your goal doesn't really show how much support you need. But your option also have some perk that mine doesn't have like the comunity aspect,so if you feel it's better with patreon just keep it that way !
