    I use mostly cheapers sockets. Duralast, Harbor Freight, some Gearwrench stuff. It all works about the same for turning a bolt!

      These Snap-On obsessed idiots will argue that forever though.. even though they're wrong, as usual.

      @FahimibnDawud but yet yall seem to always be the ones crying and trying to prove to dad your tools are just as good as his snap on tools lol

    Did ya see the ratchet that goes with those power torque sockets, both socket and ratchet together are just shy of 3/4 of a inch.

    I’ve got that Powertorque set along with the ratchet they come with. I went Snap On in metric then saw the Powertorque and got them in SAE. They are worth every penny and then some. I’ve known about CAT tools for a while. Have their Snap On rebranded screwdrivers in my collection. Williams USA is another way to get Snap On chrome sockets. According to Williams, Snap On is built to a tighter tolerance, but they do roll off the same manufacturing line in the same factory. Not sure about CAT tolerance versus Snap On, but, like Williams, I doubt it’s enough to matter in practical use.

    Dude!! I wrench for a living and my go to low profiles at the dealership are not snap on-yep it’s the power torque low profile metrics. I even keep a back up set in my top drawer.

    Vim doesn't manufacture tools. They use outside companies to make their tools.
    The CAT/ snap on is common knowledge at this point isn't it. There is 100s if not more videos on it. I learned this over 20 years ago

    Snap on makes tools for new Holland, case, and CAT. It's no secret most guys in the industry laugh at regular mechanics because of how much they pay for tools. If you don't think snap on is shafting you go check out prices for the same tools under other names

    VIM does private label for other tool companies.
    If you are buying VIM tools, do not buy them directly from VIM. Shop around and you can get them much cheaper from their retailers. Sometimes as much as half off the VIM direct price.
    How do you order Cat Tools?

    • @JohnC686
      @JohnC686 5 місяців тому +1

      You can find the part numbers online and go to a CAT dealer to order.

    Yesssir i have been getting curious about the cat stuff cause i want some 1/2 chrome sockets and some nicer 3/8 impacts and i cant justify paying my snap on dealer even more money than I already do lol. Theres a cat dealer near me, going to work up a list of part numbers in the following weeks and see what i can do. Have you seen those vim 3/8 drive stubby impact bits? They look like the regular bluepoint/vim stubby 1/4 bits but impact rated and 3/8 drive

    They all come from the same oem, i have some that came in my proto j61231 multi bit racheting screwdriver set, some in a Tone tools bit set. Stanley Black and Decker has them in Mac, Facom, USAG sets. It may be Hi Fiv that makes them

  • @METALGEARZETTO

    I have those PT in metric and sae. My Matco bit set comes with the metric set and I know there’s a bit set by Mac that has them aswell.

    There's no such thing as a "VIM" knock off, they don't make any tools. They source their stuff from an ODM just like every other mid tier tool company.

    • @robertcasey3528
      @robertcasey3528 5 місяців тому +2

      VIM isn't mid tier

    • @Callelle6251

      @robertcasey3528 well they're not bottom tier, and they're certainly not tool truck quality

      @robertcasey3528 you obviously haven't used their tools. I'm sure you're one of those Strap-On obsessed people too though. There's too many tech/wrench monkeys nowdays that are shitty mechanics because they don't focus on their trade because they're obsessed with the dumbass name on their tools.

    • @LEAT616

      Some of their tools are better than tool truck quality. Snap on even has vim re branded tools. Lol

      @@LEAT616 VIM doesn't make anything lol. So what you're saying is companies like Infar, HiFive, Kabo, etc make tools better than Snap On.
