Nice work, thanks. But the versions are different, Meng AH-64D and Takom AH-64E, hence the differences outside and inside the cockpit and in other points. I'll wait for Meng realize Guardian to choose between the two brands.
Hello! I'm very glad that you can finally write a comment. I've been following your channel for a long time and it's very interesting and I always get great information first hand. Really great reviews. Greetings from Serbia.Meng looks great.
Since the release of the Takom kits, I followed a few build videos and reviews. I did hear that the Takom decals were awful. With obvious carrier film issues and that they were difficult to see over the Green paint. Plus I don't like Takoms instructions, with no detail colour call outs and vague placement diagrams. So, I held out and pre-ordered the Meng kit. Now that I have that kit in my possession, I think I made the right choice. So, for me, its Meng all the way.
yeah the instructions of takom also fail to mention several parts and stencils so.. in hindsight I would have prefered to go with Meng as well on this one.
Good choice. I had to stop my Takom build to wait for aftermarket decals - the kit ones are atrocious. And yep, the instructions are beyond poor. Such a shame whoever makes them clearly doesn't care about their job.
Spot on about the decals, that heavy carrier film is a pain. The instruction almost need to be read with a jewller's glass, A couple of times I've photo copied the page and blow it up to get a least and idea. And don't get me started about their colour and markings guide.
@@mikeward8597 Every Takom instruction sheet is the same. Same with Das Werk, as I am sure they get Takom to produce the plastic and instructions for them. When I did the Das Werk 1/16 Stug kit. I had to download the instructions to a 1/35 Miniart full interior kit from Scalemates, just to find out what colours to paint the inside of the Stug.
One thing you don't mention in the video is that Takon's decals are awful!!! They are thick and with a very big carrier film. If you go with Takom you will meed to get some aftermarket decals
great video .. nice info and on that i just ordered myself the Meng version .. glad i watched your video 1st :)

Phil, the Takom kit comes with rubber hose for the wiring in the EE bay
