  • I was fortunate to recently meet Christian Hosking, who accomplished something truly extraordinary by cycling not only through the rugged terrains of Patagonia and the demanding Alaskan wilderness but also enduring a continuous mental trial.
Over 18 months, he cycled two continents. Each pedal seemed to bring new challenges and insights, which he shares with me over an informal chat.
His journey is fascinating and we go on to talk about some great coincidences involving him listening to the entire back catalogue of this podcast on his ride.

Hey Freddo, you should come to Australia 🇦🇺 and we could do a wheelchair trip around this great land of mine, plenty of great pubs on the way around 😅

Maybe one day! I used to live there for a few years. I spent time in Perth, Karratha, Melbourne and Falls Creek to name a few!

Wish you would have asked him how he was able to finance his trip, what did he do to avoid bears and wildlife, was it scary cycling on roads with cars and traffic.

You’re right, all great questions. There is lots of stuff on his UA-cam channel that shows bear encounters and even a Q&A with his girlfriend.
I wish I had seen his UA-cam channel before the podcast to be honest, I would have had lots more to offer
