@@FlyFishFood With a Dremel and an abrasive disk and a small piece of sheet metal you can easily make a hackle folder like that. An ordinary hair comb will clean out a bunch of deer hair just fine. An ordinary toothbrush with the bristles cut down a bit works well for the other function of this laughably over priced gadget. Easterbrook paper clamps from Staples or Office Max come in a variety of sizes and do a good job of grabbing CDC fibers for a dubbing loop.
Yes, as soon as he took the wire brush out of the tool I said that's a wire brush for a dremel tool, I even went to my work shop and got mine and yup it's identical.
ive got an old toothbrush that pulls underfur out pretty well and is gentle enough not to tear up thread. and it was $4, before i brushed my teeth with it for months...
I made a perfect cdc tool clamp out of the spring type paper clips with a strip of fly tying foam glued to each jaw. Works great and cost less than five cents. Pettijean wants about $30.00 for his plastic one. Dubbing loops and twisters are a waste of time. Flatten and split the thread I’m tying the fly with using a needle, insert clamped cdc, retwist thread and done. Gimmicks sure cost a lot of money. What a joke.
Dude tools are the same across everything. You pay for convince and for a name. I like the loop tool ALOT and the clip is expensive but it makes spinning fur and hair super easy. Can't split thread for that. I'm not buying this tool but don't pee on other people's parade.
Wow! What will they think of next. A very pricey handle for a dremel brush tip.
Does the demel fold soft hackle? Asking for a friend.

@@mikemcguire1160 whelp… they sold out a few days ago. They must not be too expensive.
@@FlyFishFood A fool and his money are soon separated.
@@mikemcguire1160 for lots of people $50 is not too much to spend on tools. Some people like nice stuff.
Try a Dremel brush Cheech I'm almost 90% it will fit. Looks like I'm not the only one that immediately thought that's just a Dremel type wire brush..
If it is 1/8 in at the shaft, A dremel brush will fit.

Same brother! Lol
This tool is certainly sleek but cmon, 50 bucks? Thats crazy.....
What hackle plier was that?
Those swiss cdc tools look amazing. Can you tell me what bobin holder is that?
The SMHAEN regular bobbin.
I used a brillow pad attatched to my steak knife and a clothes peg for the cdc. Saved $100 😊
New tools are aways nice, but is nicer knowing all thw functions that they put in the tool.
Just use a primer pocket cleaner for reloading. They fit in a small screwdriver type handle to for 1/4 the price.
Was interested until I saw it's $50...
how much is a 10- pack of these? :-)
$3,278
Looks well made, good demo Cheech. Kinda pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. Now to contact Santa. Happy Holidays FFF!
Flexing the pro team hat on us.
That brush looks like a Dremel brush
