I'm a lot more interested in how they learn. Cephalopods are very smart so it'd be cool to see if they try trading food with each other. What if they had a very soft pliable material similar to clay, would they create special dens to house themselves?
Working here would be living the dream I swear. Being in a room full of THOUSANDS of my favorite animals? I cry when I see ONE GPO because I'm so excited. I can't even fathom that.
This is quite interesting & informative, thank you so much for sharing this with everyone! I hope to hear more & great results from this type of research & work.
I adore cephalopods...I so wish they had a longer life span...I would love to have a house full of them. I really would love to have every kind of nudibranch...but by the time you get one that's been bred...not kidnapped from the ocean...they only have months to live. So at 64 can I just come work for you guys....I'll do anything...no wage????
From what I understood in a previous video with MBL, they breed cephalopods in tanks which is a unnatural setting. Could these cephalopods demonstrate more about themselves given the fact they were raised in an artificial environment? Would wild cephalopods give more input of what researchers may want to discover and understand or will cephalopods raised in tanks be enough?
_Paws_ depends on the research question, but since they are adaptable animals that learn and breed quickly, a lot could be learned, even in an artificial environment.
I’d love to work here!

I love how they're "the new kids on the block" but they are literally older than trees 😊
You forgot about the nautilus...
Ok, so breed a super squid
They are so cute! 😍
I love that cephalopods exist
You have a typo right in the beginning "Cephalpod ink/inc": a letter is missing

Cthulhu ftghn!
Any contact info for this lab? :)
Most important reason is that they are all adorable
Dream job???? I'm so glad I found this channel
Great work! I would love to work in such a lab.
Who named the Flamboyant Cuttlefish? Gheeyyyyy
Poor little cephalopods. Bred to be experimented on until they die. I would hate to work there.
This is so cute
When you use other experimental animals in your comparison, it seems to day your business grows them for experimentation.
I want one
I like jellyfish octopus and squid those are my favorite in the whole world
My dream job
I❤️🐙
