    I love how you decorated everything! It flows so well with how everything is all neutral and the new tv stand is so cute!

      Thank you!! 🥰 I’m not the best at decorating so it took me a year to feel comfortable enough sharing 😆

      @@AshleyVering You’re welcome!! I completely understand that. My boyfriend and I moved into a house in September 2019 and I don’t feel done yet with decorating 🤣

    I am so glad you decided to make this video! I am in the middle of my PCS to Ansbach and I watch your videos for literally everything! I love how you made the legs of your table match the chairs! I thought that was very classy and I remember watching the unboxing video of when you first bought the chairs! Overall I think y’all’s place is so cute and I am so glad you were able to share!

    Hi, I'm Theresa Lee Cole. Thankyou so much for the tour. Many memories in Katterbach. It was brand new in 1972. We lived there in a 4 bedroom from 72-75. My Mom was so excited. We loved the European windows!! No dishwasher then. She used to do laundry in a large laundry room in the basement. I used to get nervous (being the eldest of 4 maybe) when she would be down there late at night alone for what seemed like hrs. I think she read a book down there 😃

      That is so awesome! I love hearing from people who lived here before!
      Our laundry rooms are now in our units which is great 👏🏼 did you notice any other differences? Do you remember which building y’all lived in?

    Wow! This was nostalgic. The wife and I were there from 2011-2014. I remember my time on Katterbach and that housing behind the Airfeld.

    Hi thanks for the video. My wife, son and I are headed there later this year. What did you do with the government furnished furniture? I’m positive my wife will want to get it moved out right away.

    I am a German who has worked for the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1994. Interesting to see that there is housing at Katterbach nowadays. At my time housing was only available at Bleidorn and Bismarck.

    Great video. I will be pcs’n there later this year. I am a single soldier so does the housing size differ from having a family there?

    • @AshleyVering
      @AshleyVering  Рік тому

      Yes! It will be barracks so probably a bit smaller unfortunately.

      Ok I heard E6 live in the barracks. My orders said Barton Barracks; not sure if you heard of it.

    Living on post is the same at Baumholder! I really dislike apartments but it could be worse 😂

      Yes! The army shipped all of our stuff. There is a weight limit but it is usually way more than needed.

    Hi! Getting ready to PCS to Germany with my husband who received orders for Ansbach. Is there different housing for people who have pets? Is there any living on post with a yard? Thanks!

    • @AshleyVering
      @AshleyVering  10 місяців тому

      Hi! In Ansbach, housing options will not change depending on if you have pets. The only houses with yards are on Urlas which your service member would need to be an E8+, O4+ or W3+.
      If you will be stationed somewhere else in Germany, housing will still depend on how many dependents your service member has so pets are not considered. Other posts have housing with yards for lower ranks!

    Your home look's very nice, so pleasantly and tastefully furnished and i like the colours.
    Your balcony needs some flowers and plants like the Bavarian style.
    Are you both in military?
    If not, what is possible for you to do?
    Is there a specific time for you to stay in Germany?
    Disposers are not so good for the environment, it also attracts vermin in Germany

    • @AshleyVering
      @AshleyVering  3 роки тому

      Thank you! I would love to have Bavarian style flowers on the balcony, but I'm starting small because I'm not great at keeping plants alive 😆
      Only my husband is military! Usually people stationed here will be here anywhere between 2-4 years.
