Not keeping the Mute swan with omni bones card was a head scratcher especially with how many times u drew cards, even just tucking one for a cycle would've netted some extra pts
Yeah it was certainly a hard decision, but I felt that keeping both the petrel and the swan was just too slow. Plus the petrel doesn't work well in a full tuck engine that the swan would encourage. I definitely wanted to keep the petrel in every scenario due to the powerful card draw, but I think I could have made it work keeping the swan as well. That was probably a miss.
Those single bonus card pick ups always seem to be more of a gamble than the pick up 2 to discard 1, though sometimes the extra little things you get alongside them can prove handy. You got a bit unlucky to get 2 bad bonus cards though with those I think!
Good game! You missed quite a lot of stuff though. Crow at the end would have won you the round goal, hit omnivore and ecologist. Also, I think playing the triple omnivore bonus card bird first was a mistake. With your opponent getting the Oriole down you could expect free berries only usable for that bird and giving you a bit of food "freedom". The other wetland bonus card bird also gave you a card you could have chucked for most needed eggs. All good in the end though as you comfortably won 😉
Very good points; like I said in my response to the other comment - I thought of the crow after the fact and should have thought to play it because of the extra 2 points from omnivore; it would have tipped the scales. I also agree that the Godwit was probably better to play first; for whatever reason, I always forget about those cards it draws. 🤷

Yeah that's the RNG game we play. Thankfully it didn't cost me the game, at least. 🙂
On your last turn, it might have been better to play fish crow. 2 points from Omni, 2 points from ecologist and it would have won you the end of round
Yep, you're right. I thought of that after the fact - didn't take into account omnivore ironically, considering the title of the video. 😆
