Definitely throws you a loop, i learned how to drive manual in semi at 16. Ive been doing it on our farm every year since and now im 20. Once you get the hang of it though it becomes a lot less stressful and even fun lol.
I have used Manteca, Hayhog, Sunnyside, Wiggens, and various other applications on different machines. About the highway machines, I liked them all. They each were a little different. The main thing I was glad they were there and ran. I liked the Wiggens as a yard squeeze I used that one a lot at a feedlot in Yuma. For your father-in-law, I think that would be great on the dairy and less costly than a highway-type Squeeze. Shafer Hay had one for sale in Blythe don't know if he still has it though. Good job on the videos. Oh and don't worry about grinding a few gears everything has a learning curve. :)
