This has always been my favorite tank to take out. It perfect. Lol the funniest thing tho is when the 20m starter French tank (smallest tank) pulls up next to u in battle, Hanz in the back is actually bigger than the small tank. Not even joking

Well for maginot line its not too bad
It's great at destroying tanks, it's just not the greatest in WT because it can't brawl all that well. The Fat Max and the Nashorn that you get directly after this are both great.

One thing he forgot to mention is that it has the best gun depression in War Thunder.
Just find a ridge, and the only thing your enemy will see is your gun barrel poking out over the top of the ridge.
Why else do you think it has such a high silouhette?

The Sturer Emil was not an experimental Tank Destroyer it was a Bunker buster but was later send to Tank battalions because of the anti tank capabilities
Day 5 of asking phly to play the m5a1 its been 3 years (also thank you for your amazing work)
In the words of the man himself “no armor is the best armor”. Now I’m a little sore as this is my favorite tank but you’re playing it completely wrong, this bad boy is a full blown offensive glass cannon and when you sit back ofc you won’t get kills. Ps for only 2 being made they had a great kill count and idk if having two built and used in battle would account as being an experimental td

Most Tanks/TD's projects have 2 or more "prototypes" submitted for evaluation, then a run of at least 5 or more "pre-production" for more extensive evaluation, these are sometimes pressed into "combat evaluation" in war time, then a decision made on whether to putinto serious production or not.
So yeah, only 2 built, battle tested and successful or not isn't even "pre-production", it's plain ad-hoc, or at least experimental.
That said, in wartime they would put anything and everything that could fight into action, look at the "Ferdinand". TD made mostly from left over parts from the Porsche Tiger, and did very well on the Eastern front.
There are so many "experimental" and "one off" vehicles in WT it doesn't really matter anyway.

When some of our crew dies we should be able to choose when to replace the rip crew's position. Like "no hans! Wait down here a bit before go to the bridge!" But in WT is like headless machinegunner hans rush under raining bullets to occupy the gun and die in no time....
It should be selectable, something like "Automatic crew replacement" on the control menu. Each second counts when someone is reloading to shoot you again.

The Sturer Emil is REALLY effective for me personally especially against jumbos at long range like planes are a problem sure but that's a risk worth taking to get that sweet feeling of killing a jumbo through the front plate at range

I put this in my 6.3 lineup. It goes straight through a super Pershing at 500yards and has 15 depression. It’s good tier. It’s my favorite tank destroyer for germany
i use this thing on my 6.3 tank deck.. and it´s pretty well suited there..
Fun fact: Sturer Emil translates to stupid mule the reason it was named that is because of the transmission issues
Sources? First time I hear of Emil as a synonym for Maultier.
Also the first time I heard of the Sturer Emil having exceptional transmission issues. Only issues I am aware of are rate of fire/protection/maintenance issues. Wehrmacht staff supposedly was ecstatic about this TD.

According to this its name translates to stubborn Emil, not stupid mule, and its issues are a weak engine, making it slow, and little in the way of protection.
I'd generally prefer non WoT sources though as WoT is...questionable concerning the display of accurate information.

This video puts me in mind of two game 'mechanics' I absolutely detest: Revenge Killing and Spawn Camping. To stop both I would suggest:
Revenge Killing: You have a 70% chance of doing no damage to the player who killed you until you damage something else.
Spawn Camping: You have 20sec of complete invulnerability on a respawn.
You already have 15 sec before you can get killed actually you just need to count down to 15sec and you can still get spawncamped bye that so I think it should be 25sec
emil is underrated and has surprising survivability. leave the rushing to tigers and panthers and just control the flanks, slow and chill. i had a game where i was strafed 5 times, still survived and got 2 more kills afterwards...

That vehicle is made to peek over hills the gun depression is real good and what ends up still visible usually rebounds shots
