An utmost artistic fragrance you MUST try. I usually bought 1 full bottle out of trying about 50 samples or so and this one was the winner. I think Dior has done a great job keeping Diorama, Diorella, and Dioressence (my favorite of the three) in great shape. Diorissimo, unfortunately, not so much. And relative bargains at about $130 for 3.4 ounces.
I spent part of the weekend helping a friend shop for his father’s birthday gift. My exact words where “you should get him a bottle of Terre D’Hermes. It’s sophisticated and approachable… the bottle looks great… and it is Hermes…what’s not to like” Glad to see that I haven’t led him astray :)

Cologne Blanche is one of my favorites from Dior. I have read an interview from 2000’s with Hedi and apparently this was the smell of Dior Homme boutiques.
I love the days at work when I'm alone, Persolaise's videos accompany me at lunch break without earphones ! And it makes me want to dig my Pour Monsieur samples a scent I've been complimented upon in a Parisian swimming pool so diffusive indeed !
Love Mitsouko so much! Together with Féminité du Bois my everlasting love affair. 😍 Another lovely choice for fall is Gris Charnel. Cosy and warm, like an embrace.
Fall is ideal for Mitsouko, though I wear it all year. It's the only perfume along with Shalimar and No. 19 that require me to restrain myself, lest I use up bottles too quickly. My other loves are La Myrrhe and Iris Silver Mist but for those, I don't feel like any person is a worthy canvas and I enjoy them on blotter at my desk in private to be in awe as they develop in slow motion.
Oh yes, autumn 🍁🍂. The leaves are still green here in Holland. We have a great warm fall week coming. What a wonderful list. Thank you. Especially the Chanel Pour Monsieur and Encre Noir, almost forgot I have a bottle. Vetiver, leafy smells. And someone mentioned Caron Yatagan. Definitely a fall fragrance. I wear L'instant de Guerlain edp a lot in autumn. I tend to the more spicy sweet chypres. And talking about sweetness. I just want to break a lance for Mancera Tonka Cola. I just had to purchase a full bottle. It's the best Mancera I ever smelled. It's a fun perfume with indeed a very realistic Coca Cola smell. But it's much deeper than you think. The Sicilian lemon and cinnamon opening is so good. The patchouli is amazing and sturdy. The tonka vanilla with labdanum and benzoin base is almost to die for. I'm really pleasantly surprised by this Mancera. A brand where I sometimes have some doubts about. Well, I wish you a great autumn season with a beautiful Indian Summer coming week.
