Programming with chirp is pretty easy, sometimes you just have to select the right radio. I've noticed that you may have to change to a difference radio model if yours doesn't read.

Very cool and nice install job! I didn't know you were into radios. Makes sense though. Are those RR frequencies for BC resource roads? If so, you want to set those to NFM rather than FM. The log trucks (and other commercial rigs) here in BC transmit NFM when using RR and LD channels (LADD is wide band in BC though) Listening wide band while receiving narrow band will sound quiet and sometimes hollow. Not sure if that UV778 will TX outside of the ham bands? But if it does, sending wide band to people listening narrow band will sound "poppy" for lack of a better term. Curious what you have for an antenna / mount?
