    My concern was im to late to start up with a gen 8 mid 2019. I feel as the limitations of stock pile of mods are slim to none. I was tossing up to just get you to build me a reliable gen 8 gearbox or giving it a try just to get started. After watching this video im still keen to rip it apart and get gel balls deep as you say it haha. I look forward to your gen 8 gear box flashback in time, does and donts, what fits and what doesnt. Your attention to detail is impeccably and i enjoyed this vid very much. I am in north qld so my connection to people directly (gel blaster related) is very limited. Keep up that good spirit and dont give out those minor secrets that took you a long time, money and hair to figure out , just add them in the modding service, make them pay for it :)

    Hey bro love your knowledge and helpful vids!! Any chance you’d know anything about fighting bro gears and singularity gearbox?? I have 16:1 fighting bro gears and when I put them into my gearbox the spur and sector gears don’t need any shims but when I do the screws up the gears are really tight???? I have already stripped the bevel gear (the small narrow end), only had them a day!! Please help??

    the standard black ones have a mold seam flange right around the outside seal surface they are not designed for sealing in a tube like this. dont use them. This is realy great content thanks.

    i definitely would like to know a bit more about which magazines work best in which blasters and why. after you telling me about the slower motor in the gen 9 mags, and the obvious fact my ACR mags are just shite, i'd really like to hear more on the subject.

    • @rpmtechshop8006
      @rpmtechshop8006  5 років тому +2

      My go to mag is the high speed gen8 mag. That mag is good for 65rps. You can tell if it's a high speed mag by testing the ohms reading between the mag terminals. This mag will work with the acr and it works really well. The wells mag us only good for 50rps. With that said I've had them fail alot sooner. The gen9 mag is bad. It's has a reduction get inside the mag to make it slow. We don't do slow lol. The j10 acr mag is just crap straight out of the box. It miss feeds and intermittently works at best.
      Hope this answers your questions. Check out our FB community page for more blaster talk and info.

    Hey mate, I’m considering doing a DSG build in my gen9 but I’m not too sure about the tappet plate because it uses a different one to the v2 gearboxes. From what i’ve heard here they need to be modified. Do you think it would work with the stock tappet plate? Thanks

    • @rpmtechshop8006
      @rpmtechshop8006  5 років тому

      Definitely get a nylon tappet plate for the gen9. the stock tappet plate breaks the front off from the base.

    hi, i am new to gel blaster :D this video has helped a lot on understanding what kinda of upgrade i should get in the near future
    (currently own a ACR j10, with 40cm barrel and 1.2 spring)
    i am curious in regard to the two piece cylinder / head design, to prevent possible air leak, is it a good idea to actually seal/glue the two part togerther with like silicon or even automotive gasket sealant or such? like, just to be sure there is no way in hell for it to leak O_O
    reason i am asking is because in non of the build/mod video i've seen, no one ever talks about actually sealing the two part together permanently, which to me seems like a good idea to prevent leak

    Some absolute Gems of Info here! Well worth the watch - thanks for your time mate!
    But honestly What gets me the most is how a bunch of backyard Aussies have taken this toy ( of ok design + made from absolute shit ) to what we have now ? - what an achievement , which is because of people like ur self! 👍.

    Now I regret buying my Kriss Vector V2 😭...I should have gone with other blasters that are upgrade friendly. When I bought Kriss Vector V2 I thought its the coolest blaster with all the accessories but now realized it was a mistake buying it since it will have issues in the long run and will die anytime sooner or later 😭

    More air does not mean more FPS it is relative to the air volume of your barrel. Too much creates a decrease in FPS and accuracy.

    • @rpmtechshop8006
      @rpmtechshop8006  5 років тому +1

      Yes you are right. It's a bell curve. There will be a point where too much air will create a loss of fps. I should of said the more efficiently you use the air in the cylinder the easier it will be to create fps.
