- My animator friend (Damian) and I are hoping to make leeway on adapting this as a short film during the fall! We have some color stuff and bgs done, and took more reference video yesterday. I enjoy Hadestown a lot, it would make a good animated movie. with more indie art influences.

About a quarter of the way through this I was sure this was one of the best Hadestown animatics, but I was wrong, this is THE BEST Hadestown animatic and stands among the best animatics I have seen period. The way you seamlessly transition between sceans though a almost fluid landscape while communicating a journey in greater depth in 5 minutes then most movies do in 3 hours is beyond words.
OOOOOOOF, I have the chills - and I think this animatic really nailed home for me that Orpheus DID go to the end of time and the end of the earth for Eurydice.
I think that this animatic has the scariest interpretation of the fates
The world building is SO INTERESTING!! I’m gobsmacked!!
Awesome job! I love how the train disappears over the horizon RIGHT as Orpheus talks to Hermes...Just a couple seconds too late there XD Orpheus's journey taking him through tons of different environments is something I've never seen before! His feet must be killing him. XD
Love the part with him jumping in the river, too, and the giant puppet fight and dodging all those rocks! This would be an epic video game.

This is so creative and imaginative, I’m simply shook by your mind and hard work! All these scenes, details, emotions, perspective, the picture is really moving with the plot, some ideas are literally breathtaking... this is the best depiction of this song I could think of
