- here's my get down animatic! 🤗so this was from last year, in December 2020, for a class I was in. I didn't finish the refining and colors, and by the end of the class I was struggling a lot with foundational boarding. So I put it on the backburner, read a book about storyboarding, andddDD
dropped it BAHAHAH. I liked working on it, but now am starting to approach boards a different way. Trying to revise my stuff more before committing to an early pass. I sat on this for a few months thinking if I should finish it, but decided just to cut my losses and move to other projects!!
I have a super rough board for All You Wanna Do I've been sitting on since January that I can hopefully do this summer, and I really wanna push myself to finish that one.
I tried playing with photomashing in this video, which I think added to my confusion, but I'd definitely experiment with that again. And refine that down the line. I think it looks weird and kinda cool *v *

In the actual history she could get anything she wanted from Henry cause he was too scared of war, even being called “the sister”, and Henry letting her into his castle. She lived longer then any of the queens and spoiled and loved Henry’s kids.
Well in history she and Henry were mates. Probably divorced her because she was like a sister. They stayed on good terms after and she was treated like family, or so I’ve heard.

He divorced her because she failed to recognize him and give into the flirting of him when he disguised himself as someone lower than a King. This was an English royal tradition that she as a German noble was ignorant about. This hurt Henry's ego so badly he never slept with her, claimed the artist portrait was a catflish that hid her big nose and made her prettier than irl, and began giving more attention to her cousin K Howard, who became the next beheaded queen. A of Cleves saw the writing on the wall of Henry's disinterest and allowed for annulment. Because she was so good, Henry eventually claimed to regret ever divorcing her.

I love the kind of surrealist approach you have to your animatics. Running around paintings and honestly just showing Anne messing with Henry is a very nice take.
I love the part at the end where she legit SURFED down the steps and kissed Henry like a girl with cooties would.
Even if its not complete, it feels like a blessing we got to see this-
The details you portrayed in the animatic is great and showing how Anna Of Cleves does not give two quacks about Henry whining about the divorce at the end is great.

this is my favorite rendition of Get Down that I've seen! I love the intro and how the other queens are posing like she's their man ahhhhhh. The scene with the dragon and her sliding down that vine was amazing but the part where she slams Henry into the floor had me dying. I just love how you draw Henry as this imp-ish man thing that she just punts
Honestly the first 30 secs makes it look like she has a harem of girls and I’m for it

Even unfinished, this is really amazing. My favorite part was when Henry is about to break her picture but she stops him and breaks him instead, that was great (also, where can I get Anna's glasses please?)
