My read on this series is it comes down to Knoblauch vs Tocchet. Unless Skinner and the Oilers D falls apart, Canucks have a lot of adjustments to make. I don't think Tocchet's safe play style is gonna do it.

If Vancouver wins game 1 then you know the doubt creeps into Edmonton's minds knowing the Canucks have won 5 straight from October, April and May.

Draisaitl is awesome at Face Offs. He finished the 2023/24 season at 56.9%. However, you’re forgetting that Elias Lindholm and J.T. Are neck and neck! Elias is at 56.4% and Miller at 56.3% for comparison, Kopitar was at 55.1%, which is also amazing. Face-Off styles don’t change much from regular season to Playoffs, so the regular season is a better comparison as it’s over a much larger sample size.

i get the canucks are the underdogs yet again but this isn't going to be the cakewalk most of the 'experts' seem to think it's going to be. last 25 games of the regular season nashville had better numbers than the oilers in all areas. pettersson's fear of failure is causing him to fail.
