Zadorov and Cole...biggest mistakes...no leadership left.

Let's consider this for a minute, Miller wears a funny shirt to prank Silovs. Miller's involved in organizing the Team shirts celebrating various milestones for players. The Millers are involved in a lot of Canucks Charities, and host get togethers at their house for new players and their partners. Pettie stays home and plays video games. Pettie is moody. His jokes are lame, like his joke nobody got about holding out on the Canucks to get his $11.6 million dollar deal. Which he silently snickered at. He talks to his parents, but doesn't appear to be friends with many in the team, except maybe Hughes. I'm not sure we can win much with a "Team" that's made up of professional loners playing for themselves and a big pay check. Pettie may be younger than JT, and have a higher upside, but will we ever see that? I'd rather have a room full of Millers with high compete levels and physical and mental toughness, than players that are so finely tuned everyone has to worry about their feelings or they just won't produce.

I'd rather keep the player who has a passion for winning or at the very least competing - just like the Vancouver fans - than the one continuously checking his hair in the mirror and social media reviews of his on-ice play. Who showed up in the Big games and in the playoffs last year? Whose play has been trending down since he signed his "franchise player" contract? If the Canucks are not committed to winning as a franchise, I would want out too if I was JT Miller or any other player on the team for that matter! The other elephant in the room is that locking Pouty Petey in for $11.5 million for 8 years will largely impact the Canucks' long-term success-- for better or for worse as a franchise! Which player gives the Canucks more consistent Compete- particularly in the Big games and in the playoffs when it counts? I think the declining attendance for home games is telling you everything you need to know about what the Canuck fans want and expect . . .

Football (Soccer) Manager has player ratings and the players just laugh and try to prove them wrong. Nobody gives them shit about it.

Omg Pettersen is toxic. Pettersen is the reason we cannot get to the next level. People chant JT Mil….ler for a reason. Media is on the same level as Trudeau. Do you actually believe that Pettersen can lead us to a Stanley cup?

i think the media took it on the chin since they let the Miller departure story go unchallenged, and having been making up drama ever since. The OT loss Utah 'controversy'? lol, please. That could have gone either way, and there was no big icetime hogging attempt by either Petey or Miller. Meanwhile, the Miller departure story still goes unchallenged. The ol bait n switch.

Millerr is the root of the chemistry prroblems. Until he gets over himself or is trraded the problems will continue. When he was gone the team was just fine. replace him and we will be in good shape. It would suck to lose him, but his team chemistry is a major burden on this team.

Miller didn't even show up for utah. No effort on the back check last night. No effort going on the ice. Stayed on the ice tired than making a line change . Causing the game winner for utah.

I've been going to games for a while now and it's obvious prices are out of hand. $25 for 2 cans of beer? $18-25 for a single meal with no drink. This year is way more noticable usually 1st intermission lineups at concessions used to be 6-8 people deep in every line...now it's 1 to 2 people max or zero wait time

It's because neither is scoring. If either one gets hot it will help. Bottom 6 shouldn't be leading our scoring.

The other Canucks need to realize that when Hughes passes them the puck he expects them to probably do more with it than just pass it back to him. Sometimes that's the right option, but not every time. Right now it's Quinn Hughes and some guys out there, relying on some depth forward occasionally stepping up to make a big play and hoping their goalie will bail them out. If the prima donnas can't sort this out, bench both Pettersson and Miller for the San Jose Sharks game.

I think you have to believe Tocchet that they are trying some things. The PP has not been good with Miller and got a lot better when he was away.

You can't possibly believe that sit down hasn't already taken place, probably more than once... The friction between Miller and Pettersson goes back to before Boudreau.

I agree Hughes is one of the real leaders on this team right now. All the more reason to trade Petterson so we can use some of his $11.5 million "franchise player salary" to re-sign Hughes.

I've unsubscribed from Sekeres and Price because Sekeres is *ridiculous* with the sensationalism, fanning flames just for the watches. I came on here just to say this. I used to watch S&P all the time, and this has always been an issue, but this has put me over the edge. It makes me angry. It's a disservice to the team, and the fans. It's actually the worst out of all Vancouver Canucks media. Despite unsubscribing, UA-cam is still recommending your S&P from all the times I used to watch you. I just came here now to make this comment. Honestly, Matt, you should be ashamed of yourself. And reading the other comments I know I'm not the only one.

I am SO F'ING SICK of TYLER MYERS being on this team... WHY IN HELL did they re-sign him? AND AT A RIDICULOUS PRICE, when he couldn't make most team's BOTTOM PAIRING?!?!? This managment group was looking SO GOOD, then: re-sign a guy who has proven over 5 YEARS that he's A CRAPPY D-MAN ("BUT he had one decent playoffs, so THAT'S ALL FORGOTTEN!!!"), at 3 MILLION DOLLARS?!?!?!?, and give a HART TROPHY calibre contract to a player who seems disinterested in playing for 1/2 the time he's thinking to himself, "I can make it JUST BECAUSE my name is Elias Pettersson, and that means I don't have to WORK MY BUTT OFF ALL THE TIME to stay in the league"... AAARRRGGGGHHHHHH !!!!!!! So much for all the work this management regime was building on; we now have TWO albatrosses hanging around the neck of this roster... I think trading Bo may have been a mistake, for the fact that he was like a mediator between EP40 and JT.

This is silly, this whole discussion is crazy. Nobody is in the locker room, so this is a total storm in a tea cup, storm created by the media. Talking about who drives play, and who's a leader, it's JT. Pettie is a good player, but he's also a loner, he's not a leader, and he's really moody and hasn't proven he's tough in the playoffs. If the window is the next three years, the GM should sit both players down and tell them they're paid to play. He doesn't give a crap if they don't get along, so work together for the good of the Team. We know JT wants his Team to win and play with passion, but we don't know anything about Pettie, except that he's a quiet loner, his jokes fall flat, and he blames injuries for poor play. If they really, really can't get along, and if the window is the next three years, then I'd trade Pettie for two good D Men, but I doubt it will ever come to that. I think Miller knows the real truth about what's happening with Canucks. It's pretty obvious at this point that making Elias Petterson the team franchise superstar of the future was a big mistake. Making Petey one of the Top Ten Highest Paid players in 2024 was just plain wrong. The unfortunate fact is --- Petterson is just NOT on the same elite level as the McDavids, Mackinnon, Matthews, Dreisatls, and all the other real franchise superstars. And Petterson is never going to be on that level in the future. If Canucks fans want to believe that he will eventually get there, they are mistaken. Paying him more than $3 million more than Miller, Hughes, Boeser, and others has set a bad example. Petey is a great player but he is NOT the future of the Canucks.
