Hasn't changed much since I was there in the mid-sixties. I spent 3 years stationed at Fort Gordon. Spent every weekend walking around Augusta. I had thoughts of staying there after my time in the service, but I returned to New England. If I was younger, I would move there as Connecticut is getting very expensive. Especially the high real estate taxes.
I’ve been here for 7 1/2 years and honestly it’s changed a lot in that time period… particularly since Amazon moved here. It’s growing quickly with new businesses population more traffic and more things to do. I like to call it a biggie small city 💖👍🏽💖
Needs a major facelift. Old buildings can be charming, but I don't get that feeling looking at these. No sign of life, restaurants, coffee shops etc. Savannah was beautiful. Strongly considering moving there.
Lots of good things happening in Augusta & definitely undergoing transition… maybe I’ll show the restaurants and coffee shops in a future video. Savanna’s coastal living style is definitely different than Augusta. Either one you decide upon I can help you!

i! You do a great job on your videos. I like that you respond back to your followers. Says something positive. My wife and I are in The Bay area of CA. After living in NY as a married guy and Boston Before and then coming here it is time I bought a house for my wife. I am trying to figure out where. We visited the North Atlanta Suburbs and man the Traffic seems to be worse than the Bay area! Visited Greenville , Raleigh Triangle area, Charlotte Area and Charleston. I like where the location is in Regards to Columbia County .. Martinez, Evans, etc... Also interested in Some of Richmonds Suburbs in Virginia. Tough Decision to make. I love to mountain bike and gravel bike and do anything athletic. My wife likes sprouts, whole foods, trader joes. Was wondering why whole foods did not make it in Augusta We lived in NY and it is hot and humid there in the summer so I think we could acclimate. Hard to figure out where the best place is. Still in the work force as well.
Thanks I appreciate it. The housing market is totally different there in CA versus here... you get so much more for your money here that it’s surprising how much the housing is in California. About the traffic in ATL...it’s horrible- I try to avoid it at any cost. Yep I enjoy Columbia County too… It’s a nice suburban feel with the southern hospitality touch. I’m not really sure why Whole Foods didn’t make it here-I was surprised when they closed because each time I went there they were busy then not much longer after they closed Sprouts arrived. I enjoy shopping there as well. Moving out of state is a big decision but seems like you’re doing a good job doing your research.
There's no one walking the streets doesn't seem like any residential life in the area. ... I'm coffee shop diner type person doesn't seem like there's non of that no supermarkets ... strange city it probably only lives during the golf classic

This is soo fun. I haven’t been back since 1998 but plan to soon! Thank you!
Oh wow you’ll be pleasantly surprised how the area has grown since then.

It's a shame the downtown is so desolate and rundown. It has good bones but needs a lot of TLC
Lots of improvements are being made to the downtown Augusta area… When is the last time you were there? Or do you live in the area?

Great observation but keep in mind this was recorded during the pandemic so not many people were on the streets due to the local mandates.
Not to shappy. I remember you said you was going to do a video of it.
Yes this is a brief video of Broad Street...there's more of downtown I'll show in the future.
