An awesome drinking game while watching Scott's videos would be to take a shot every time Matt falls or almost falls or Scott looses a fish trying to boat flip it.
Ever since you hit some patterns that suit you in practice, you've had a different sort of energy about you in this tournament. I see in the comments that I'm not the only one that has sensed it. Congrats on making it to the Classic and keeping the dream alive.
The number one reason for losing a fish is the rod. I do not think Favorite rods match your fishing. You are one of my home town heroes and can’t wait to see you crush it in the Classic!
I had to keep up with this tournament online. Watching BassTrak I remember thinking, several times, that you were right there. Now I see that you were a lot closer than I thought with those big ones that pulled off! Dang Scott, ounces, that close!!!!!

But one thing I’ve never seen you done which i think your viewers for at least one episode would get a kick out of is fly-fishing. I have seen your dad fly fish but it would be cool to see you try and tackle any fish of your choice on one. I just got into tarpon on the flyrod and it’s become an obsession and addiction. Yeah luck has a little to do with it, but when you’re losing that many big fish there’s something going on. A few it didn’t even look like there was any hook set, and the boat flip attempts obviously didn’t help. Tough to see, this tournament was yours to win, or lose in this case. I’ll continue to watch and root for you, these videos are so well out together!
Agree, but who am I? lol Anytime I see a spinning rod or dropshot setup I just anticipate a lost fish. Some of the Northern swing tourney's, the time with which it takes to get a fish IN the boat is insane to me. When you have Dustin Connell, being incredibly successful, using 12lb leader and boat flipping his smallies/spinning rod fish it makes you wonder.

Throw in a couple of big toothy critters and it's a pretty typical day fishing up here in the fall ! My friend Dave loves to do your boat flipping dance when they fall off !

Scott if you're going to bounce a fish it has to be immediate no hesitation as soon as it gets to the boat man. Up here in Wisconsin I rarely use a net. Up and in. Awesome video nonetheless!
Love your videos regardless. I grew up along the Mississippi, up near the Iowa & Illinois border (Quad Cities)... and you could just about depend on catching anything there. Striped bass, small & large mouth bass, huge catfish, carp, crappie, bluegill, black bass, walleye, gar, pike, and yeah - sometimes the kitchen sink. It was polluted when I was a kid, tons of factory waste, so we never kept anything. You could see it in some of the fish, but they'd still give you a good fight. It was about the fishing for me. Every summer I and a bunch of friends held a friendly competition where would trust one another to be truthful, and add up the number of fish we'd catch. Then compare numbers to see who was the winner of total fish caught. It was always in the > 3K amount of fish. Heck, I caught >50 fairly large sun fish (bluegill) in one day. That was on a bumblebee lure. Sorry for all that. My road is winding down quick. I just thought I'd post this somewhere.

The carolina rig got me my first trophy and I thought I had a pretty good handle on it. Then you start throwing it in a foot of water. Can't wait for the 20/20 on that thought process and maybe do a c-rig in depht video in the off season.
