- Prosecutors in Orlando, Florida say Sarah Boone intentionally zipped her boyfriend, Jorge Torres, into a suitcase and filmed on her phone as he begged for his life. Torres eventually suffocated. Boone has claimed she was a battered woman. It took the court more than five years to get to trial, after Boone’s attorneys withdrew again and again. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber has a closer look at the arguments from both the prosecution and defense.

No abuser is ever going to relinquish complete control and allow themselves to be zipped up in a suitcase by the very person they abuse. It isn't a logical argument. Sarah was the aggressor. Sarah was the controller. Was Jorge perfect? Doubtful. But he didn't deserve to be tortured by the woman who claimed to love him. I don't believe she loves anyone but Sarah and nothing but her cigarettes and booze.
That video, we cannot unsee it, but it shocks me every time I watch it. SB shows no reaction. I hope jurors see thru her lies.

She didn't call 911 in the morning nor did she check on him in the morning she didn't call for help until after 12:30PM THATS THE AFTERNOON!!! She absolutely intended to kill him and hopefully she will go to prison with a life sentence. She's a psychopathic killer with no remorse
Well if you drink a lot and pass out you may wake up late. Also the roommate of the 4 college students that were murdered didn’t call police at all. She called friends over in afternoon who called 911

Jorge was a bad dude. Had a rap sheet, and his brother murdered someone. She shouldn't have been with him but she chose to stay. He should have been kicked out, not killed

I realized that The Baseball Bat was a major step forward in the violence between Sarah and Jorge. They choked each other, they hit and slapped at each other. But only one time was a bat used - while he was zipped up. Once she did THAT, she HAD to recognize, "I've just upped the ante - I can't let HIM ever have access to that bat." So, his death was her logical conclusion. "I must get rid of his life or I'm in REAL trouble." Uh huh.

I mean, he probably was. They were drinking. But that doesn’t change anything at all.

I feel so so bad for Jorge, his family and HER son - they should have bleeped out his name in the interview taping - he was only 9 years old!!!
She was NOT justified!!! Whatever REALLY happened to that poor man involved kidnapping/imprisonment, physical abuse (bounced down the stairs while in the suitcase and/or beating with a bat), verbal abuse while he begged to be let out, then leaving him in the suitcase while she went to bed. She's 2 breaths away from Premeditated 1st degree if the proscecution could have proved she coaxed him into that suitcase. This was NOT "hide and seek" And as for jealousy, she said in the video something about him cheating on HER. She was afraid he'd leave her. Her lawyer is as nutty as she is

I don’t understand how she could have tried CPR. and whatnot ; when in all the crime scene photos it’s the suitcase and that alone, all zipped up… idk wierd, sms oh well just something that made me go wth?
She didn't. CPR is a lot of work, and it wears you out. She would've been breathing heavy and probably wouldn't have been able to do it for that long.

A real domestic violence victim would never leave someone in a suitcase without wanting anything to happen to him because once he gets out of that suitcase, she knows she was in trouble. None of that fits. Also, the bed was made when they got there did you really sleep in the bed or did you sleep downstairs, also you weren’t concerned enough with his health when he was begging that he couldn’t breathe that you left him there and went upstairs and went to sleep so you slept just fine
