THIS IS NOT A PLANE/HELICOPTER PROBLEM. THIS IS A WHY WAS THE ARMY IN LANDING AIRSPACE FOR FUCKING TRAINING

CIA operation, helicopter was on a controlled flight
Why was the army helicopter training near a commercial airport? Like the sky isn’t big enough for them.
Why does everyone else have the headline "plane crashes into helicopter" like it's the airlines fault?
Your thinking 🤔 is horrible
Well if the plane crashed into the ground would you blame the ground?
Stupid people trying to figure out what words mean. Trump supporter by chance?
@@johnholliday13could be, helicopter and plane collide
@@JamesHendley I've only seen plane collides with helicopter not crashes into. Almost all of them use collide with.
Why is it "the plane collided with the helicopter" when the helicopter definitely collided with the plane?
The media being fake news 😂😂😂😂😂 ratings 😂
the media loves to bias the viewers with how they report on an incident. Its called "controling the narative"
Collisions happen when 2 things impact each other. It does not imply that 1 party hit another or vice-versa. If they used the term run into or crash into that implies which party initiated the impact. Collide just means 2 objects impact with each other. Both sentences you mentioned mean exactly the same thing.
If you watch the video, the plane flew into the back of the helicopter. The light you see from the helicopter is off of the front. It was facing away from the plane.
@EhIDONTCARE Not trying to be rude but in English, the ordering of the objects in that sentence implies action. "The collided into the " is usually how it's perceived.
A learning experience at the cost of other peoples lives
How can accidents not happen when aircraft fly across flight paths at low level by the airport. After hearing how the helicoptors transit across the river I am amazed this has not happened more often.
Allowing night VFR in protected airspace has been an item of hot debate for some time. AFAIK only the military does this, and usually at this particular airbase.

A funny thing people complaining about the helicopter don’t even consider. This type of night time training near the airport has been going on for over 20 years. This is the first time something like this has happened.
Once in 20 years is once too many! Training near a busy passenger airport should not be allowed!

In whose mind a training exercise takes place on a civil comercial AirPort area ? This was caused by the military for sure ! Train somewhere else !
It wasn't a training flight this is a frequent procedure flow by all kinds of helicopters. News, police, military, etc. The helicopter was flying along route 4 which is a published route for helicopters to use when flying up and down the Potomac River
Agree train somewhere else .
Whelp you heard Rick everybody time to pickup the base and drag it "somewhere"
Hey smarts, every airport is a military base airport also. Minneapolis airport is also the air forces airport also. C130’s are always taking off and landing there also smarts. You expect the military to have their own airports in the middle of nowhere? You ain’t too bright.

Is a tragedy like this at all correlated with the elimination of all members of the key aviation security advisory group on January 21st?

Yes, FAA report says staffing in control tower was not normal at time of deadly air collision. Idiot Trump fired the heads of the TSA, Coast Guard and Aviation Security Committee, along with freezing TSA hiring.
Learning experience???? THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED
Just my opinion, I think the helicopter pilot never saw the plain that was hit. He saw another plain and didn't see the plain that was hit. SADLY
It's not spelled "plain", its plane or airplane or aircraft. Plain means ordinary or a type of land form, as in the Great Plains.
Otherwise, I agree. I think the helicopter pilot thought the other commercial aircraft was the one referenced by the control tower but there were two in total nearby and the helicopter people didn't see the other one, the one they crashed into, for any of several reasons (in his blind spot, hidden by all the lights in the area, etc.).
How the F is it the aircraft pilot fault? The black hawk pilot is the one with the more manueverable chopper, it's not a airplane can takeoff and stop in mid air and land, but the chopper can so the pilot looking for something ahead of him before taking off and seeing nothing means nothing, because once he start to take off or land, it's other small plane or choppers job to make sure they aren't flying in their air space, duh.
“Training exercise” ….in a commercial airport airspace at night……..🤔
The Army base is right across the river from the airport. That's less than a mile away.

Well, aint this like the movies.
Don't expect the truth from this one. Obviously something went critically wrong for someone, and they used ultimate force.
I would like to hear from a Blackhawk pilot or former pilot to find out more about that copter's warning systems. I don't understand how 3 crew on that copter did not see the plane in time. How quickly can you maneuver that copter?
They never mention in these interviews how rare it is for a helicopter to fly into a commercial plane.
I rode on one in the grand canyon. Someone zigged when they shoulda zagged
Its 2025. There shudda been all kinds of alarms going off. Its a damn military copter so it honestly should have ai intelligence to detect potential impacts and navigate the copter automatically
Is our military really this poorly trained? It seems like we have more accidents than any other.
It's wild that most of our military deaths are due to accidents.
We just don't hear about other militarys' accidents. I suspect they are much higher.
yes. Ask any civilian pilot. They are required to get much more in the way of training before they can get their license. The military decides what is more important. The Blackhawk they are training that has a heft multimillion dollar price tag to train them in dangerous or deadly maneuvers that might damage the craft and cost upwards of millions to repair or hand them a book to read.
Do not let any military flights near commercial airports training missions should not be airports
The real question we have to ask is what’s happening while we’re all staring at this dangling carrot? What bills are being pushed without us knowing about them? What money has “gone missing”?

Why will a training mission crosses a runway? hopefully it isn’t intentional…investigation should cover all scenarios…
The helicopter was flying on a designated helicopter route. Specifically route 4 which takes them right under the approach path for runway 33. The maximum altitude for that section of route 4 is 200 feet to prevent conflict for arrivals on runway 33. This wasn't a training mission per se. It is a route route flow by helicopters in DC
@@tomtom-v7d I want to know more about speed. I heard earlier report that this helicopter was flying at 166 mph? If so shouldn't something be in place to reduce speed (allow more time for adjustment) when helicopter transects airstrip at busy airport.

I’m wondering if the helos pilot/copilot were disoriented. The correct analysis is that the helicopter collided with the plane, which was on direct course for landing and in communication with the flight tower. I smell some kind of cover-up going on here.
Why are military helicopters flying around in commercial landing patterns! That is just crazy
The control tower should have called for a go around . All aircraft have transponders letting the tower know where everyone is.

There was a call for the helicopter to go around from the back. Instead of going from the back, they took the front. This incident falls definitely on the helicopter pilot .

What kind of country holds military training operations near civilian airspace? When are the sanctions coming?
That's what I said when we were told that all the drones over NJ were doing the same. We have thousands of square miles of uninhabited acres out west near military bases, so why do this over some of the most populated areas of the country?
Why Air Traffic Control isn’t automated yet is beyond me.

THE AIRLINE WAS ON FINAL APPROACHE WHY DIDN'T THEY DIVERT THE HELICOPTER AWAY FROM THE PLANE THAT HAD THE RIGHT AWAY NOT THE HELICOPTER THE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS SKREWED THAT' UP, THERE AT FAULT DON'T DAUGHT ME THERE GOING DOWN
In fairness it had to be hard for the helicopter pilot to see the huge metal object flying in the sky with flashing lights all over it
Pilot was either blind or scuicidal.
Or remotely controlled
Or flying without specially approved radar because it's a rush mission that hasn't had all the 'red tape' cut properly.
I've seen 2 black hawks and a large military cargo plane fly over head where I live since Trump took office.
I have seen 0 of those things in the 10 years prior to that living in the same area. Keep in mind these are not vehicles that can be missed. I live near an airport so they fly low and you can hear them even when inside buildings as the military vehicles are way louder than commercial ones.
This is what happens when you push things too fast. Corners get cut. Safety precautions ignored. Accidents galore.
🙏🏻 this is terrible 🙏🏻
Can the black hawk fly by remote?
🎉yes.
Why is this going on at Night in the first place?
I see these near misses as the population getting too high and impatient.
Who was on that plane? 🤔
Somebody needs to be in jail for this!!
Who was on board I believe should be the real question?
1,000 feet in Altitude, and 3 miles Horizontal, unless there are near an airport and the panes taking off or landing (the jet in the DC crash was landing) then the Vertical and Horizontal clearances are reduced. Probably more than one mistake lead to the two aircraft not knowing and/or seeing each other.....
Let me guess are they gonna blame DEI for this too🙄
And Biden, and Kamala, and Obama, and....
so what made the helicopter fly directly at the plane with purpose? this was no accident
I agree
It’s kinda like that same feeling we all had when we saw the gaping hole in the World Trade Center on 9/11… I looked at the tv and said “that was no accident”…… I’m kinda having those same vibes again. There’s no way something like this happens so blatantly unless there’s intent.
Certainly didn't look like one. Especially since the copter pilot was reported as saying that he/she saw the plane.
Why are there always so many Blackhawk helicopter crashes???
Maybe it’s time for better training protocols. Why would a Blackhawk be near an airport??
What the.heck !! I did not know flying helicopter rules are like road rules, keep 1000 feet distance??? I would think there would be no fly zones for helicopters.
I always tell people there’s 2 things you never see me doing one, hot air balloons. I’m not even afraid of heights it’s just a floating fire bomb. And 2, helicopters. I took a helicopter tour when I was 24 of the hover damn. It was beautiful but that fawkn flying tin can gave me ptsd fr.
I think it’s one of those orbs and not a helicopter. Seeing drones daily in Tampa Bay Area..something is up and they are lying to the public!
It's got nothing to go with helicopters. It has everything to do with the military and their training. The are in no way prepared in their training like the civilian pilots. While the military trains in multi million dollar aircraft, that gives them pause to put their trainees in a position of damaging or downing a craft, so in very dangerous maneuvers they are handed a book. The civilian is trained in one of the most unstable helicopters in the world and worth just a few hundred thousand and because of that the trainees are taught with hands on experience to prepare for any circumstance. The military should up it's game and teach their pilots like the civilians, not in a Blackhawk or Apache etc that if it is damaged costs millions to repair. Start them in the cheaper, small mosquito looking helicopters, the R22 to be specific, and let them work their way up. The downside is that it will take extra training and time but they will have a much safer pilot but I don't think the military cares much about the pilots. I got that information per a retired military pilot and some from a civilian pilot.
Find out who the POI was and you’ll have your motive.
