Wow this brings me back to my childhood (the speaking in tongues not the Diddy). Being dragged to a pentecostal church throughout my formative years was wild. I support freedom of religion but I don't think that was exactly the place for that at all.
Same. I was dragged to Roman Catholic church and sometimes there were people "speaking in tongues". Definitely wild. Went through a traumatic experience later in life and now I can't be around people doing loud prayers around me...triggers PTSD.

I experienced SA as a child from two female family members and when my mom talked to the minister for advice he refused to believe it. Why? Because the woman were seen as pillars of the church community. After a time we were ostracized. When I became a teenager I studied theology and became a pagan. I think it’s often a case of a good idea, a good foundation but then mankind has there own bias and interpretation and flaws. I always liked this quote from Angels and Demons : “Religion is flawed. But only because man is flawed. …”

Now, both you and that other person may never be Christian and be saved, but maybe If those people cared a bit more. You'd have a better outlook. I'm sorry that happened. They do that to make bills more appealing to both sides of the aisle. Democrats wanted to send aide to Ukraine more and Republicans wanted to divest Tik Tok from it’s parent company more.
I’m still in shock and don’t understand why people are so against sending money to Ukraine. But then I remember the last time a similar thing happened (1940s) our country was very against helping then too.
@@kingofgrim4761 it’s not that I’m against it, but why do we, the US, need to foot the bill? That money would be better used to build up our civil infrastructure (roads, bridges, trains, etc) or municipal services. We have a lot of domestic issues happening in the country (inflation, mass illegal migrants, lack of housing, general affordability, etc), which should be solved first, then we can look at Ukraine/Russia. Congress should be Americans first. But that’s just my opinion.

A. It’s what our country was founded on, fighting for freedom against Tyranny
B most other countries are suffering far worse at least regarding inflation. The “mass illegal migrants” are hardly an issue, and our government is generally against helping out the common man. Housing wouldn’t be a problem if the government stopped letting CEOs buy up property
