Love Noah, agree with some of the comments on squat depth but they may or may not be deep enough. I have however seen a video in the past which was a 1:43 and the video angle was better so you could actually see all the reps were good. On a different note I’ve also seen a video of a guy falling backwards onto the barbell with only two pull-ups to go at 1:41
Butterfly pull up standard requires the chin to be on or above the horizontal 🤷🏼♂️ Not sure how many games judges would have no repped a few?… might be the camera angle
yes but when he landed it was 1:50 - Noah hits 1:49 just as the chin hits the bar... about a half second faster. Both are super impressive, but I think Noah had the edge here
Yeah Noah was faster by milliseconds. But I'm pretty sure his time was called with his chin above the bar just like Irving's. Both guys chins passed the top of the bar before 1:50. And I'm pretty sure in everyday training (not the games and other comps with finish lines) most people call time when their chin rises above the bar in a workout that ends with pull ups.
Sooooo we’re just not going to talk about aaaalllll the damn reps where he’s not locking out his arms huh ???? Wasn’t someone there telling him to lock out as he was doing the workout ? C’mon “top level” athletes MUST do full ROM. Don’t post videos talking ‘bout world record when you know you didn’t do the workout the way its intended. And if he thinks he did it correctly then SMH
2022 and we are all still intrigued by Fran. Greg Glassman, when you tap into truth, you know it because it resonates with others. When you tap into a fundamental truth, you know because years pass and it becomes timeless.
I'm a crossfitter, and I know butterflies take skill and a lot of practice to perfect but I never do them. I wish people would just call them butterflies and not pull ups. they aren't pull ups. Still very impressive though
I have always talked shit about cross fit, Im 39 I do jiu jitsu and just lift. Tried Fran last week with my 59 year old uncle. He finished pretty quick. Hes 6 ft 3 about 185 , Im 6 ft 1 195 pounds GREAT SHAPE (so i thought). I Could not finish. Now I love crossfit, Ill always hate FRAN
Insane performance, but I don’t think you can claim world record when several thrusters are CLEARLY not locked out(you don’t even need to slow the video down to see that) and the video doesn’t show the depth of any of the squats…not saying it’s not impressive but to claim world record you have to be held to the highest of standard…
The first two reps are No reps. "The barbell must come to full lock out overhead...." per CrossFit. The rest is irrelevant after that. The standard is the standard. I do like Noah though. He seems like a cool dude. Amazing effort!
@@clayeisenbach1956 Yeah, this seems like some very easy No Rep decisions. In @hillerfit's video, he shows a fully locked out position from Noah, in a picture, for comparison. Looks like there were a few No Reps on the pull-ups too. Whatever. I wish him well.
I saw at least two no reps on the pull ups, and at least two on the thruster lock out at the end. Shame that the camera never revealed squat depth. Is that just a coincidence? Hmm. You've got to do better than this if you want to claim such a vaunted world record in the CF world.
The craziest thing about this video to me is how Noah is still standing and not dead on the floor immediately after!
The craziest thing about this video is your comment
I noted this too
i did 7 mins last week and had to recover like 20 😅
roids
Take back the first minute and the time is even better
The energy in this video is epic
Amazing he can do all this and have energy to play Galadriel's brother in rings of power
I’m charged up. That performance was gas. Nice work my man!

How much fun is this??? Super inspiring Noah! TY for sharing 🤗🤗🤗
Absolute machine Noah 👏🏻
The speed on those thrusters!?! 😳

I think the same
Great job! Irving Hernandez did fran in 1:49 back in 2016 as well.

1:49...Jesus. lol. I remember when a sub 3 min was a badge of honor
Top! Congratulation! 🎉👏👏👏
Most guys “abs”: a uni-bulge rounder than the hill that Peppa pig lives on
Noah’s abs: Ninja Turtle shell
Wtf? 😄😄
@@s0nofg0d2 you’re not a true CrossFit athlete unless you’ve heard of the ninja turtle shell 😂
Great that had you had Travis around for this! Awesome work
LET’S GO NOAH!
Yup...I feel like training now! I'm fn fired up! Ty Noah!
Dang man if you blink the workout is over!! Super quick!!
Wow, congrats! What an awesome workout. Those thrusters were flawless. (The pull ups were a bit questionable though).
How? The pull ups were better than the thrusters
Re-do, there were some no reps. The Capacity is there, should be no problem lol
😱OH MY GOD!!! Noah 🔝👊
FRANtastic job!
Outstanding outstanding congratulations congratulations 🎊
That was amazing! Wow
Awesome job!!!
Absolutely crushed it!!
Where are the pullups, i couldn't find it
No pullups were harmed in the making of this video ;)
Awesome job bro!! Wow 🤩. World 🌎 record 💥💥💥
I love Noah and I couldn’t do this even close. Alllll the No reps though 🤦♂️
Amazing! But I'm pretty sure there few no reps for the PU
Holy shit! Not even on the floor after that
wonder why
Norep Olsen in fine form
Best part is, you CHOOSE to hit full range of motion always. You are exemplary in a sport that needs more people like you 😊
Otherwise NO-REP! 😉
Very first 2 reps were no rep 😝
Lol there's a bunch of no-reps here and half the time the camera angles make it where you can't tell
we can't even see the bottom of his squats in this vid lol
huh? lol please don't judge crossfit events
Amazing!

Made it look easy! Beer you can't do double Fran in under 4?
LMAO
That would be a way to make Noah remember his first Fran.
That awful awful feeling
Try it yourself! 😉
Far out! Unreal!
Way to go Noah!!
With that team cheering anyone will set world records 🤩

I approve
I’m in great shape! (Watch Noah Olsen do anything) No….. I’m not…..
Squat depth nowhere near standard.
すごい!
Four no reps pull up
😳
Bunch of no reps in this video due to soft or no arm lockouts, hips not below parallel, and chin not above the bar. Good try though.

exactly
When you can’t do the job, you speak about the faults. That’s so pathetic dude.

zero pullups were made

But like.. how CAN anyone go faster?
Not locking elbows?
Impressive but pull-ups are not correct. 👻
Friends of mine go on about the community culture in CrossFit. If that's an example I'll pass.
First
Noah Ohlsen needs to learn how to lock out at the top of his thrusters. This is only a world record of miscounted reps🙄
It is not. .....
Smh...never ceases to amaze me what qualifies as a pull up in the crossfit world...comical
Those first 4 pull ups did not count
First Two reps of pull-up = NO REP ❌
