it truly is one of the greats, but please search futher, dream theater, pathfinder, nightwish. these all have comparable if not songs that surpass this
@@TBomb15 Who the hell neds to search for Nightwish :D I listen (to older songs) Of Sonata, Nightwish, Dream theater. The Power of One is my personal soul song since ever untill the last drop falls!
The lyrics are so full of meaning ... So powerful yet so sublime ... There is always some drops falling from my eyes every time i listen to this master piece. Thanks for the upload!
who can tell me the color of the rain? such a strange question but we know what it means who really has the "born right" to tell us such things. It really is a message against the belief in divine right or divine right of kings we were told of in the dark ages
its amazing and profound its like you can feel the crushing weight on the individual the overwhelming odds against a single person i mean, but also the hope and potential there is for the ONE.
I fully agree I wish they did so I wouldn't have such a hard time finding music I heard when I was a child.im on a quest to find obscure songs I heard from years ago.
its because most people have trash taste in music like the majority of rap. (let me explain, not all rap is bad, but the style is saturated. If you like rap, that's fine, but don't let it narrow your horizons).
I am 30, taking a bath, happily married with two cool dogs and a cat of the age of 21 and I cry like a little girl while listening to this song. It's not easy to choose your poison these days
I haven't listened to this song like since 2010 or so. This song randomly popped up in my head and I started to listen doing my own stuff but jeez man I was surprised once again about the muscle memory lmao. I just sang
grey. the colour of the rain. it's neither black or white, it has every shade and removes every classification, it's objective and it's subjective, it's imperfect and it's independent.
during the day its grey bc of the clouds, at night its black unless there's light than it becomes visible against the blackness of darkness contrasting the rain to be white
Unia was their jumping the shark moment. It was arguably their best album. The problem was though it was too good. Nothing they could release after could ever pale in comparison. While there are great songs amongst their later albums non of them will hold a candle to the entirety of Unia. That's my two cents. Which when compared to your's is like Fifty Bucks.
Sad that the fkn USA music crap oriented Musicstations in the West totally ignored this masterpiece. It should stand between the best songs ever made it can compete easily with Bohemian rapsody.
Just by chance, here in Iowa, I was intrigued by the album cover, For the Sake of Revenge, spotted in Coralville mall’s FYE store. Been a fan ever since. Radio? What’s that?
They were known and great waaaay before stupid Dragonforce. In 2007 they kicked a musician out of their band that had a big influence concerning their individual style. Since then they make imo average rockmusic. Maybe that's why you never heard of them
@@SuperHydra93 You are right. As I remember it, both is true. They could not keep him because it was not guaranteed that he could join them on stage for a certain period and because he delayed his military service in the first place, he was obliged to do it at an unfortunate point of time. I guess wiki knows the exact facts.
@@ShabbaduThe fact still remains that Jani had a huge influence on their style. That is very apparent with Cain's Offering & all of Jani's other Power Metal projects. That, & Unia is his least favorite album that he was featured on in the SA catalog.
I get riddle and poetry. These things are old. But even among those of us with similar pasts, sometimes the hidden message is too hidden. Some would argue the best thing is to speak plainly. But art is art. But I still love the music.
The greatest Power Metal masterpiece ever created! Nothing truly beats it

I always wondered why these amazing bands like sonata arctica, stratovarius, rhapsody or symphony x didn't have "zillions" of views
I fully agree I wish they did so I wouldn't have such a hard time finding music I heard when I was a child.im on a quest to find obscure songs I heard from years ago.
yeh it's sad to see those amazing music get 20k views
because their songs are too long to play on the radio

Why does this song make me cry?
you can probably relate with Tony's perspective of the world's situation.
You're not the only one.
Does it talk about Siddharta?
Its written in a very melodic key.
Because you live in the big world now

I saw these guys in NYC at the then called Nokia Theater we kept screaming for this song. But they never played it unfortunately
I saw them at the Playstation Theater in NYC back in 2019?.. I think? NYC has some killer venues.
The forgotten man on the beach
I think this is a tribute to the book of the same name. the movie looper also seems to borrow many elements directly from this song.
EPIC
Can anyone tell me where that ending quote is from? Just curious.
From the head of Tony Kakko...
