Cards have won or swept their last 4 or 5 series. This is NOT what other contenders want to hear as the Pennant Race is starting to heat up. Brewers aren't going to catch us, STL is 9.5 up on Milwaukee and the Brewers are struggling to pull out wins. This will be a good race to the finish for St. Louis.

Look at the momentum in this bottom of the 9th inning. Stadium was very subdued fan wise until Nolans' double and then just 'go with the flow' to a win. This Cards victory was a wonderful one to watch.

As someone who would rate baseball as one of my least favorite sports, I started working at Busch stadium this year and can say that the Cardinals have slowly whittled me down and I am enjoying baseball much more then I thought I could. Sad that so many fans left before the comeback but the fans who stayed until the end got a show!
Why do they keep calling it a 'ground rule double' when it's a 'book rule double'? Ground rules are things that are peculiar to that specific ball park, like a ball getting caught in the ivy at Wrigley, or behind a rolled up tarp, etc. A book rule is for something that is the same for every park, like a ball bouncing over the fence being a double.
