I've had a V50 since they came out (1989?) and although I was initially underwhelmed with the presets, I used it to drive other synths via it's sequencer and midi when I played live and it was brilliant...really, really solid timing. It even continued a song without missing a beat when a bass player managed to accidentally wrap his foot around the 2 Whirlwind cables coming out of the back of the V50 and pull the whole synth backwards off my 3 tier keyboard stand...it fell about three feet! In later years I've added more sounds and messed around with FM way more than before and there's a pretty cool synth in there. I'm also upgrading the 720K floppy drive to a 32GB USB floppy emulator this week....that should be fun...can't wait!
Those guys are reviewing old school synths but they acting like being high on good drugs all the time, I do not understand a thing yet its nice to watch.
Yes you can, I used one when I was younger as my primary sequencer. 8 parts I believe. I actually still have it in it's road case. I haven't used it for years. I just received my Montage, so that's all I use now.

Beautiful instrument. I wish I could get one of these in nice condition somewhere.
The y are really scarce :(
I might sell mine soon since I bought an SY99
You have to import them now from Japan. I have one.

can you use different instruments (presets) on sequencer, i mean different voices like one track with bass, other track with piano sound? thanks
