Hey so I just changed the battery on mine. Did the factory reset and the change battery message went away. However when I power cycle it the weird issue comes back like it's low battery again. Any advice?

@@maestromike8694 Have you found the fix yet? If so how do you fix it? I recently change a new battery and still have the same problem as you, if the power is off for too long all the sounds lost and I have to factory reset everytime. Done the test and battery said .0v NG
Every decent musician can improve lousy sounding factory setting sounds on any synth by editing them towards his individual needs, taste, style of playing. I owned V50 long ago and it served me well. Unfortunately, this was one of the most quickly fading models of famous Yamaha's FM synths due to the fact it was released when M1, D50 and SY55 already had been conquering the market. Nevertheless, it provided an outstanding experience by gathering four operator FM engine, digital signal processor, quite acceptable PCM drums soundset with special rhythm-programming channel and 8 track sequencer. Dual sound function enabled one to create fatty pads and brasses, and if necessary, sound source could be enhanced by connection via MIDI to external synth (I used Kawai K4, for example) - this can always make your arrangement richer and better ballanced because of different frequencies of sound engines and variety of sound producing technologies patented by different gear producers. Additionally, it can also avoid saturation of polyphony when too many tones are engaged by sequencer at the same time. Unpleasant clicks or mutation of particular tones are easily avoided simply by adding additional synthesizer instrument to play certain tracks of V50 sequencer. When watching internal hardware of this machine, it is immediately clear how solid and heavy-duty thought is this instrument, made for versatile and long use to satisfy all kinds of musician's needs.
Awesome video on the Legendary V50 you are a Professional Technician 👍
If you slowed down the video down would be good
Thank you Thank you for your comment
