I live 20km circa from Monza. The circuit is located within a very big public park, and the park itself is always open even when there is the GP. The fact is that you can reach the backstraight from the park without passing near the other structures of the track. When I was little, the circuit was less guarded on Saturdays, so you could actually just access the park and walk all the way up to the backstraight and behind the Ascari and all the way until Lesmo 2, all for free. While sitting on my father's shoulders I could very well see the cars go by. I think you can't do that anymore, but it's a fun memory.
back then F1 was for family. My father still tells me how he was at Imola 30 years ago, sitting on a camping chair at the end of the main straight, lol

I can imagine Monegasques hate it when F1 comes to town. Those crowds look terrible. And it's not even just one week. They have the Formula E and classic car weeks as well
Cheapest studios in Monaco are 1.5 million, like Scottsen said these people have plenty of houses. You could have a flat/house in a city in every country in western Europe for that price. Just pick on and chill there for a week.

I wonder if Singapore would be easier? Being quite a big track with lots of roads goping over, i know this sounds too obvious but if you can see a bit of the action at Monaco for free, I wonder whether Singapore would have any better viewing spots?
singapore is quite flat and in the zone 3? which is the cheapest race day admission you cant see a lot but there are some ok spots. In zone 4 ? the premium one you can see some more I think it has some raised areas and some decent straights you can get near. The bay grandstand gives you access to zone 3 so you can see some cars and walk around too and is pretty similar in price so at Singapore there isn't much point in just getting general admission.
I do this every year and it was particularly difficult to find good spot this year (2024). If you plan to do this what you want is a rain day, they no longer checks tickets for the free zones when it rain (but its pretty rare except last two years)
Thank you for sharing & your effort on Monaco GP weekend. Truly helpful for us F1 fans dreaming of seeing F1 at Monaco and the reality of being there on such limited budget. 🙏🏎🙏

The best place to watch the race is planet sushi restaurant , you pay for unlimited sushi and rose wine its right next to the podium. We have done it twice before there. You really can't get any closer than that. Also you get the champagne spray
As much as i love F1, i’ve been to Spa twice but its almost not worth it, very crowded and hard to see something, barely any commentary, having to follow life timing on your phone to be up to speed with the race. The only reason to go is to have fun with mates and hear the engine sound passing by.
@@yuyy8565 i was standing at the top of radillon, sadly i wasnt in the stands. You cant imagine how expensive those tickets are. And we’ve spent 300€ for our ground tickets per person. At the straight you have 100.000 people standing at the angled field that sit there 8 hours before the race starts. So theres no way you can get a spot in there, and even then you dont see much because people sit infront of you.
A simple solution to how to watch F1 for free in Monaco: own a boat which is parked pretty close to the track. Then you can see the tunnel exit, the chicanes and stuff. A bit expensive but definetly a good investment
going to the F1 in person is not worth it. You get a much better experience watching on TV. I'd recommend going once just to see for yourself and experience the atmosphere but overall it isn't worth it.

The F1 V6 is actually sounds cool to hear in real life
They acbsolutely destroy the sound on the broadcast. They aren't amazing but they somehow make it sound so much worse
