    I just became a Catechumen today, and thank you Bojan so much for helping me learn more about Orthodoxy and also helping me get this far on the straight path. I don't know when the next time I'll sin will be, but either way, I'm grateful or all of your prayers and videos that allow people like me to see the light of Christ shine through others. May our Lord bless you and your family, Bojan and have a good one! :3

      We sin very often
      There is a prayer that says
      Lord give me a quick mind, wise thought.....
      So we can understand our sins

    I had a moment when I was mad at God and I lost my control. I said some bad words and I decided to run from God, and a few hours after, the first video that pops up on my reccomendations is this video. I am going now to ask for forgiveness from God and promise Him I will control myself and follow Him! God bless you for making this video!

    Beautiful, thank you for this. I’m in the National Guard so I have to miss church once a month in order to come to drill. I always feel so bad for missing church, even though I know that we must “do what we can” and not worry about what we can’t. This made me feel very good, thank you

      You need a “running Chaplain” a Priest who can give a short service on the go. This is valuable training to have for services generally during potential wartime. At least, most denominations allow this; does Orthodoxy prefer to not have a service at all if a peaceful Hour can’t be planned amidst conflict?

    Actually reminds me of the homily this past Sunday, it was about the story of the prodigal son which had been our reading for the day and said essentially this, we must always remember that God’s love is literally infinite, as Saint Symeon the Theologian said: “one single human being is more precious to God than the entire cosmos” if He loves us that much, it’s foolish to believe He’d ever not be willing to forgive you

    Dear Bojan, what a great sermon, thank you for bringing it to the world so beautifully! I had (and have) the struggle of believing that my sins are not forgivable. I have done a few things which I cannot share on the internet, but it was my beloved older brother who said "if you don't forgive yourself nor allow Jesus to forgive you, you then exalt yourself above God".
    Praise Him, the Living God, Abba, who got the message to me via my older brother, who always was my protector growing up!
    Your videos always bless us, I thank God for your ministry.

    I am a burgeoning Catechumen in Western Orthodoxy and my mother is considering it as well. Meanwhile, I am very concerned for my slowly dying aunt, her sister. My priest and potential spiritual Father has been visiting her without hesitation, BUT she is still Catholic and in her dementia is now incapable of considering Orthodoxy. Problem it, none of the Catholic Priests around here have time to visit her memory care facility and she is not the only abandoned Catholic there. Under these circumstances, can my priest POSSIBLY give her any of the sacraments? He is very available, unlike them.

    • @dimitrap5615
      @dimitrap5615 5 років тому

      Elder Millennial Under the circumstance that she close to dying, the Orthodox Church believe it is okay (double check on that though, if you can, call a catholic priest to get permission and talk to your priest also.)

      I start saying the Jesus prayer when I am aware that I sinned. Even though I don't feel like I deserve forgiveness, God always makes me remember next time, and seems to make things right. He also helps me not to sin again soon.I usually lapse eventually. It's usually anger I'm talking about. Being around mild-mannered Orthodox and seeing how they react to what would make me angry also helps, like on Bojan's channel.

      If you want to hear what Lutherans believe and their stances on issues I recommend looking up Jordan Cooper.
      His knowledge on theology is impressive and I think he got his doctorate in studying the church fathers.
