The thing i love about this album is that it really lives up to the name and it feels like, with the help of the outros and interludes, that youre flipping through channels and each channel is a different story until ‘End’ where it just of course ends but its frank returning home to continue the stories another day and i dont get that kinda feeling with blonde (even though i still love it)
I feel like you could make a compelling argument for Golden Girl being a sorta sequel for Pilot Jones or Super Rich Kids
Nostalgia, ultra, channel ORANGE, Endless & Blonde are all great. Frank Ocean's a genius with his music & I hope he'll be a genius with fashion too. Blonde is my favorite album of all time because of how beautiful the music is, Frank Ocean is really one of the greatest artists of our time.
Preach!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello
Blonde is really bad, when you compare it to his discography its a big let down. And I think hes let us down since then. Essentially Frank hasn't made any relatable music since 2012. I really don't care what people think. Channel orange helped me get through so much, a huge section of my life. Blonded did nothing, it literally was unable to relate to anything I was going through.

He sure is a genius in fashion, releasing a cock ring and all instead of making music!
Crack Rock still hits…no pun intended. Like sometimes I just gotta sit in the car and let that one play.
Context is everything on this comment lmfaooo
My brotha get POPPED and don’t no one hear a souuuuund
@@CheeksOfButt Don’t no one hear the rounds, ouuuu sound
I always relate to Bad Religion, Now, after watching the video I really appreciate what Frank did on the album even more
Yeah such a beautiful song, was a really pleasant surprise to listen to it again after ages
Your take on Frank's second verse of thinking about you is interesting. I hatve always taken it as him lying to the other guy. He is saying "I dont like you, i just thought you were cool enough to kick it. ("and if you believe that, ive got some beach front property in idaho to sell you" is an expression in America because Idaho is landlocked and has no beaches anywhere near it, Its basically calling someone gullible. He extends this further by telling them "i dont love you. i just thought you were cute. Thats why i kissed you" and then he lets the listener know he is lying again by saying "Ive got a fighter jet, i dont ever fly it though". Like when that guy always talking about the things he has that you conveniently never see him with (the cars, the beautiful gf, the money). It points to an insecurity and inability to vulnerable and honest. Almost like he pushes that person away as a form of self-sabotage or a fear of truly finding happiness or deserving happiness.
Top 5-10 album of that decade easily
From the first time I listened to this album, I've always felt that there was a bigger story at play that I wasn't picking up on. This video perfectly explains everything I was wondering.
I always thought it was about Nickolodeon
This album and Blonde have been on repeat since I've first head them. My Spotify stats from last year show That I was .01% of his listeners, he's just too good and hope to see him return someday.
So easy to get lost in all his stuff, I hope so too
Blonde is so good
make sure to listen to Nostalgia Ultra and Endless!
@@143ba Oh trust me I have, Mitsubishi Sony is an underrated bop
Holy crap! This is a beautiful and profound album analysis. Like probably everyone who watched this, I’ve also listened to this album countless times, and I LOVE hearing other peoples theories on it and what it says about Frank as a human being. You’ve articulated ur own perspective so thoughtfully, that I now feel a renewed connected to the album, like waking up to a lover you’ve spent a lifetime with, and still being able to see them with from a new angle, a fresh expression, and falling in love all over again. I thank you
and totally wrong analysis
i also find it interesting how often cats are mentioned. in super rich kids, he mentions jaguars and in pyramids he mentions cheetahs. cute lil detail i liked.
Bruv i literally just subscribed to you after watching your kiss land video and went on your channel to see that you just uploaded 1minute ago haha
My friends and I are planning a Frank stream day for the 10 year anniversary of the channel orange. We absolutely are in love with this man
Really like your analysis and breakdowns of the entire album. Even after years of listening to this album you've helped me see it in a new light. Looking forward to more videos from you bro
what a great fucking video man. a lot of these essay style vids tend to be dragged out and share a pretty flippant perspective, but this was so much more personal and concise. also i love how the editing was kinda understated, and yet had a ton of attention to detail
it's criminal u only have 19k subs, keep doin ur thing bro
Thanks dude I appreciate it!
Great video btw! Love the editing and the clear , concise takes.
This was so beautiful and my coming across this was so timely. Thank you!
Waiting for you to talk about Blonde someday. Would make for a banger video :)
Yeah looking forward to finally talking about it. Hopefully it’ll one of these next few vids

Great review of a project that I hold very close to my heart.
For me, the most important message of this great project, is not just how we lie to ourselves, and try to be something we aren't, because of social settings or expectations from those around us. But it's also about changes in our lives, how we go from one mood to another, one part of life to a different and new one, from a disasterous heartbreak to newfound love. This is what makes this album so nostalgic for a lot of people.
The project makes you think about your whole life as a list of TV channels - Channels that showcase all of the highs and lows of what you have been through - And while some of those characters are not true to who you are now or even who you were at the time you played them, they are still a reflection of what you tried to be and who you desired to be.
While one's deepest desire might be to be yourself and stay true to what you believe in, older versions of ourselves will inevitably become distant and often disgraceful memories, because we as people change. Only when we take a step back and try to learn from who we were, do we understand why we are whom we are. Channel Orange is Frank's reflections regarding everything he went through up till that point in his life. While he might not be proud of everything that happened and everything he felt pressured to become, it's all part of a greater life lesson, that will help him live a better life going forward.
Thank you so much for putting the background music info in the description
My man does not miss, yet another banger
Thank you so much for this, you made me learn so much more about my favorite album xxx
Sierra Leone and Sweet Life are top 2 off the album for me and criminally underrated imo
This made me love the album even more🥺❤
i bumped this album throughout time forever
Thanks for this video it’s perfect. Superb analysis
This album is such an important part of my musical autobiography and I have never known the meaning of it in depth like this. Definitely blew my mind. I have to stream.
Beautifully explained
Magical album!
What an amazing video❤️
I got so high one day and just listened to Frank and you can literally hear the ocean and waves and aquatic life when he sings
Frank is a genius
My Man,
i fucking love you’re videos ❤️
I listen to Doing It Stealthy when I'm experiencing existential dread. It makes it worse but... I just can't stop.
ABOUT A WEEK AGOOO!!!
Awesome video
Really good video
Criminally underrated wtf
Thanks for braeking this down
Its the bling ring clip you used for me ❤️
4:45 this here is sadly what i am going through on life sadly cause there’s this one girl that i like who just thinks of me as a friend 😔
Very cool video
Chanel Organe will always be one of the greatest albums to me imo!
channel Orange is the most complete album I’ve ever heard
Franks must have synethesia just like me it literally paints and exposion of orange unexplainable to people who dont. If you listens to Steve lacy his sound is the same and it paints the same picture.
Damn this video made me appreciate Chanel orange in a different way 🔥🐐
Dope
I like this point of view
Everything in my life changed when I started listening to Doing It Stealthy by Oloff.
Like that one.. i'll hope Blonde comin soon :D
1:40 is exactly what I picture when I hear super rich kids
Where did you get this footage?
Anyone know where the clip of Thinking About You at 4:23 is from? Would love to watch the whole performance with John Mayer on guitar :)
SNL

You have to do one for Blonde now…
Pls do Dawn FM

What stuck out to me was the emotions just being a chemical reaction...
Make blonde album
People ask me my favourite song... The answer is simple: Doing It Stealthy by Oloff.
I miss him. Maybe unpopular opinion here but I would like to see him make a song with The Weeknd.
this video gonna aged well
When did you listen to channel orange!?!
Fucking amazing video

Doing It Stealthy is one of those songs that makes you ask.... why did God create us? What happens after we die?
Everyone keeps wandering when frank is going to drop a new album there will never be a new album 💿 blond is his statement why do you think that album is so addictive??? It’s 6yrs old and still is remains the same as if it was released today he is a legend the amount of replays I can never get bored or frank ocean a true blessing no homo but i really love frank he’s almost alien but sadly that’s the end of frank he done blond to fineness def jam and leave the industry he’s now doing what he always wanted but there’s something truly addictive about him and the fact he looks great with green and the robot baby? And teenage Cody ?? What’s going on who’s his bf lol and why does he seem so unreal like he’s the Statement. What’s your favourite 3 songs on blond ?
It’s like if you was to see an alien sighting he’s soo rare
I listen to Doing It Stealthy by Oloff whenever I need therapy. Yeah I could pay $300 an hour for some college clown to tell me what to feel, or I could just smash great big fucking coconuts on my head and listen to my favourite song over and over again.
Frank being gay makes me like his music more
Santa has three lists: the naughty list, the nice list, and the Best Songs Ever list (featuring Doing It Stealthy by Oloff)
not really a mystery but okay
First
Nobody cares, Nobody asked
asereje a eje dejebe tudejebe jabibajabi
unpopular opinion : endless > blonde
all you're saying is subjective and false, check your facts. I hate it when people make wrong subjective assumptions about something and call it true. it's not true just because you thought it. the album is about him, super-rich kids is about the people he frequented in LA I, He was inspired to write the song "Crack Rock" by stories he heard sitting in on Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous groups mentored by his grandfather and Ocean titled the album in reference to his experience with grapheme-color synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon in which an individual's perception of numbers and letters is associated with the experience of colors.
