- Casey, from Casey250 invited me up to Vancouver island for the weekend to check it out and see what all the island has to offer. So I loaded up the Bronco and caught a ferry to Victoria, where the adventure begins!

Great video, here we get a little bit more of just driving sounds, narration, and less music. Seems like most overlanders on UA-cam are just posting non-stop music videos. Nothing wrong with music here and there, especially on the wide shots, but this is more of a documentary of your adventure, which is refreshing.

Super cool vid! Im a life-long backroads islander and recognize some of those bridges and rock cuts. That log-dump / dry-land sort doesnt look familiar though but they are super easy spots to post up for a night with awesome views.

I have 30 some years on the island, between living in Qualicum Beach and also Campbell River. I do miss it there sure glad you made the trip sure is beautiful. Worked sawmills and on Dozer boats and under ground coal mining in CR. Thanks for your channel and taking me along for a visit on my computer...all the best.

Love going up to the Island. I would get over it being paved real quick when you are by the water like that. No need to level it!
Haha it was just so random it seemed. Obviously there was logging in the area and that’s why this are was paved, but we hadn’t seen pavement in a long time. And yeah, so nice to just park and not worry about leveling!!

Well pretty much all of BC is gorgeous so I’m sure you still had a great time with amazing views!
I go out to sooke, renfrew etc. On the island. Im from wa and my best friend lives in sooke bc. It really is so gorgeous. We load all our dogs up in my 4runner (she doesnt have a license) and just explore. I was supposed to be going out camping last weekend out there but i caught covid.

Last time I was at vancouver island was eighth grade. I was there for a eighth grade trip mountain bike ride. I definitely wanna go check out vancouver island. Looks like it's pretty epic😮

Really enjoyed this video, I discovered your channel when you posted your Idaho trip to the Owyhee’s and was really impressed with your cinematography. This recent video was a nice change from the gear reviews and such. I know they’re important for channel growth, but you have real talent with a camera and I enjoyed seeing more of the beautiful scenery 👍 oh, and would love to see more of your guitar 😁
I honestly HATE doing review videos. Going in to the next year, I really want to focus on adventure videos only. There’s still some stuff I’ll do on occasion, but only if I really believe in the product and company.
But thank you and I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’d like to incorporate more guitar work in there for sure. Hard to play in the freezing temps of this year though

Oh no problem at all! Some of the spur roads maybe, but for the most part it’s easy going

My dad lives on the island now, so I've been visiting about once a year. It is a very beautiful area. By the way David...what exhaust on your Bronco? Looking for one for my Badlands and yours sounds just right. Is it the Corsa one?
Dude the island is gorgeous! Really want to spend more time up there exploring. And yes it is the corsa kit. I got the turn down option for the added ground clearance

Why is your windshield cracked? Did a rock hit it or is that from all the off road chassis flexing?
Yeah it was from a rock. Kinda wish I could say it was from flexing though lol
What do you have for miles on your odometer? Any issues
About 24k right now. The passenger window is off track a little, so the auto up doesn’t work which is a common issue. But other then that no
