The fact that you guys haven’t seen anyone else out there is a little unnerving but also IDEAL. Thanks for creating this content, much appreciated. Love the Yeti.
This is why I love my Toyota. Born and raised on the island.
Excellent video. Reminds me of the days pre gps no cell phone, that I owned anyways. Used to get out the forest service maps and backroads map book for whatever area my wife and I were going to explore , pick a route, and give a copy to a trusted friend in case not back by a set date and go for it. Obviously I’m getting to be an old fart. Never did that on the island but lots on the mainland. Best way to camp and explore! So many old logging roads throughout the province.
That is truly awesome. Matthew has a thing for paper maps, especially old ones!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners It used to be like your trip, you never knew if there was a rock slide blocking a road. Also sometimes if you went too early in the year the road could be impassible due to avalanches. Keep up the great videos. 👍
First time channel viewer, the beer reviews killed me. Excellent videography and a cool truck. Was a no brainer to hit the subscribe button!
Thank you so much! Welcome to the fam 🤙
Can't wait to watch this one once I'm home from the gym. Stoked!
Feast your eyes on this gorgeous view of hectares of clear-cut Mountainside
Without the clear-cut there would be no roads Einstein.
The build and video production definitely deserves more attention!!!
Nothing is better to risk our life and reach beautyful spots in lovely nature to open up a good beer.
Love your episodes and videos. perfect for my sunday breakfast to start the day.
Keep doing y'all stuff. 👏
Thanks a lot! We sure appreciate the support, and will continue to make more!
One of my favorite swimming spots on the Nitinaht river..
So so fun, sketchy and beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
nice video and trip
Wow, I just traveled to Vancouver Island thru the screen. Thank you for such a great video. Shots were amazing, definitely is another way of looking at them from the ground.
Also I click with both of you guys, I like craft beer, camping, going out into the wild, and also like chile!
Greetings from México ✌
Awesome video bro 🤙🏽
As a Vancouver Islander ... with a Toyota truck ... I would love to see a video of how you research your spots. Not the locations, but the tools/sites you use. I love my backroad mapbooks. Cheers 🍻
We can absolutely do that!
New subscriber 👋🏾
Really amazing shots and I like the video. If I was going to give some advice that you didn’t ask for it would be to turn down the saturation. Cranking the green makes the trees look good, but the road you’re driving in the intro also looks green now.
Old premier pro colour grading... We past that now! Thanks for the compliment! We miss the island vistas already.
Awesome video you guys !!! Great drone shot with your Tour Guide as well !
We felt pretty blessed for that one!
We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful province!
Huge jeep guy. But I love seeing that old yota put in work. 🤘
I love this comment.
Wonderful trip you two,! Thanks for bringing us along,! I absolutely agree a person could spend a lifetime exploring this island but super stoked for your big adventure,.!
We are consistently surprised with the untouched corners of this beautiful island, but we as well are ready for foreign adventures!
Thanks so much for watching!
Getting better and better everytime! Practice makes perfect
Thanks for the support Sam!
Digging the cowboy ish voice you used in the beginning of this video. It was a good thing :)
Great video! I live to find places like these! You keep making 'em I'll keep watching them! :)
Hey! I love lucky!!!
And all other beers... and the island..
And sours!.. and lucky! Love your videos guys.
Hahah! Yes, a true man of culture. Cheers, thank you!
Crazy video man! I am so pumped to get my ranger back out onto the island this summer, you hit some really cool spots! Giving me lots of ideas ;)
That was some epic scenery. Looked like a great trip
It was! Thank you.
This commentary is giving me big survivor man vibes
I also live in Vancouver Island. I need to get out and explore more. Something I've been wanting to do for a long time but the gates... ohhh the gates. :(
Yes you must! There are many ways around the gates! (and I don't just mean huge tires)
I think the bear was my favorite part!OK the waterfall is pretty sick too.
Great vid 🤙🏻 You two really captured the beauty of the wet coast with this one, well done.
Thanks a lot Damon! We’re hoping to see some sun soon, but we have adapted well for our rainy home!
Какая красивая природа 👍🤟😎
Awesome vid amazing views wow, couple weeks ago I went on a solo trip in my 4Runner ventured into BC. (I’m from SE Saskatchewan) And camped out for a week love the mountains so much would love to live there one day
Wanted to hit the West Coast but gas is pricy lol put on about 3200 km total
We live in a pretty incredible pocket of the world. Hopefully you can get to the west coast this summer!
The gas prices do not make it easy though, that’s for sure.
That was a whole lot of quality content 👍
Watching your old stuff because you haven’t posted a new vid…. Just sayin’.
I was so proud when you cleared that road. I was sitting here thinking I have a chain saw and a winch in my 80!
Hahaha we’re back! Matthew wasn’t leaving without a fight
Love the video, keep then coming. Love the ones that just show off Vancouvers trails.
They won’t stop, we promise! Thanks for the support 🤙🏼
Really great video. Awesome tracks and camp sites.
Thanks Mike!!
Great blog, epic trip you guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was fun! You guys are killin it! Keep it up!
Thanks Mitch!
You need to head to the east kootenays. Wheel to glaciers and alpine lakes and more.
Yep, that sounds like our style!
Hell yeah those Backcountry sours are damn tasty.
Great video as usual. Glad you guys are keeping well.
Moving to the island in 2 weeks, can’t wait to get my Cruiser out on the trails!
Man, we were pleasantly surprised by them! Thanks for the support and welcome to a beautiful new home!
8:51 on the edge of my seat. Only in a Toyota! Awesome
Spring, summer and fall have got nothin on winter camping! haha
Winter camping all year round!
@@ToyotaWorldRunners yep! Wet winter, snowy winter, sunny winter. Dry winter. It’s great up here 🤘
Best vid so far, keep it up!
Thank you! We will.
You know how enjoy life, congrats couple.
it is a great thing, that every season. Is camping Season :-)
Isn't it?!
Beautiful landscape. Nothing close to this in Texas.
Yaaar you gunna see me all over lol 😆
Dude we would love to come camp with you!! You know exactly how to get down!!!
At the 20min mark is where I like to camp 👍🏼 take my boys there to camp and fish. Good times 😊
It's a wonderful spot for that indeed!
Great stuff, i hope this channel finds the subscribers it deserves
Hey thanks! We sure appreciate the support 🙏🏼
Great video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice! Great job on the video…
Thank you! Cheers!
Yeti don't care about no stinking land slide! Yeti power to the rescue!
Yeti used Old Toyota Power, it was super effective! 😅
Great content you guys! Just wondering what you guys use to navigate logging/4x4 roads here in Van island?
Thank you! We mainly use Gaia (the free version) as well as scrolling google earth for potential goodies!
Great video! Keep them coming.
Let’s get out sometime we are always down for adventure
Thanks Dennis! Our schedule is jammed packed for the rest of May, but let's make something work this summer 🤙 (assuming we get summer).
@@ToyotaWorldRunners sounds good
Nice spot. Love getting out there with our truck camper on the back roads to do some camping on the island. We also love looking for views like this. Found a few nice ones! You guys based out of Courtenay?
Thanks for watching! We're in Nanaimo.
Try the backcountry widow maker. Use to love in Squamish that’s a good one too.
Added to the list!
Is that even technically beer though? 😂 Give me a stout in that weather or a hazy in the sunshine. In Northern Ontario, Sleeping Giant brews a DIPA called "Goes to 11", guess what % that one is. It's one of my favorite beers from anywhere in Canada.
We love a beer of 10% haha keeps things interesting 😂
Have you ever thought of mounting a couple of cameras too the front bumper, so you can see your line better? Like back up cameras, that come with remote monitors. Maybe on the axle might be better.
I've seen that one some modern cars, I think the new Land Rover has front view cameras. Might be a bit too techy for our blood.. But it certainly would have helped in this case!
You guys should try pbr’s new high seltzer!
Hey guys, awesome videos, watched pretty much all of them. Question for you, what transfer case crossmember are you running? Thanks, Dave from Ontario
It's a custom built one, very similar to the trail gear one! The Bud Built cross member is a good one too.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners thank you!
I’ve been there before also by exploring
What do you have for emergency equipment? Can you do a run down on some of the essential stuff you bring with you on a trip?
We carry a pretty comprehensive first aid and recovery kit. We can definitely do a gear rundown!
Do you carry anything like one of those GPS units with an emergency beacon? Like a Garmin InReach? You mentioned that some places you go don't have cell service. Might be something to think about. I'm not sure on the cost of them though or if there is a subscription.
Awesome video. How wide is your rig?
Not as wide as it looks with the 2wd fenders. Doesn't even have IFS hubs
Its so funny that im originally a island boy but have still never wheeled on the island.
Random question, when it comes to views or comments if you have the same person comment multiple times that doesn't earn you guys any extra revenue its only 1 per person?
Heyyyy mannn
location my friend ?
Were you on the San Jaun river at the end there?
That's a negative my friend.
Love the video quality what camera do you use?
Thank you! It may surprise some, but 90% of our videos are shot on a Sony a6500.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners either way quality is amazing! Makes me want to finally buy a camera and film
How do you keep the rig so rust free ?
Start with a California truck, cut out the rockers and weld in new ones, undercoat every year, and still has rust coming through 😅
I'm all cool for your guys adventures just please don't Geotag a single thing!! Keep our hidden spots, HIDDEN. It's getting harder and harder to find open spots on our beautiful island with so many people out and about.
Long view that I see is overlogging reaping
I guess she didn’t let the audience know all of these places are locked with gates
