My kids are gonna help fix the world someday. I'm so glad I woke up at age 30 and got married, had kids and now divorced . .
Saved to my "reference" Playlist. I really needed to hear this. 52 no kids, never married. I see the fuckup kids the world produces and it makes my decision easier every day.
Bad parents produce fuck up children, not the world.
@@unib4644 not true! WAAAAY too many opportunities available for society to fuk up even the most diligent parents. i'd rather keep my money
@@yourgooglemeister6745 Glad you dont have kids with that mentality, they would be losers.
What’s going to happen when you are sick and old?
@@alexfonseca2063 such a lame question that's already been asked. It is well established that one parent can take care of 10 kids but 10 kids can't take care of a single parent. Don't count on your kids for taking care of you dude, and don't burden them either they have their own lives to live. Save for retirement and plan for your older days with insurance
I am 48 and planning to get married next year. She is 39 and never been married either. I have been with the same woman for years. She lives overseas and me here in the states. I have one child. But, I am ready to start a new chapter.
Don't have any kids with her. You're both too old.
The only way to go at this point, though still not perfect. The local crop of whameen here is rotten to the core.
Yes you can have a legacy without children. And that works for a lot of people.
However, I couldn’t do it. I’m married and about to have a daughter in May. I wouldn’t trade that for any amount of money or success in the world. I’m glad he is happy though, he made a huge impact on society and will leave behind an inspiring legacy for young men around the world.
because you're selfish.
@@stockholmpublishings2937 maybe.
My foundation has helped 1700 kids thru scholarships. There is his legacy .
I think it depends one what kind of legacy you want to leave behind. I also won't stare into the abyss of what may befall my decedents generations from now. For all I know my lineage could end up at a dead end. My family name certainly wont make it into eternity. And hundreds of generations from now my genetics will long be diluted. At the end of the day we just do the best we can with the short time we have and maybe help a few fellow humans along the way.
No children, never married, 68 years old, I own my own business and my house is paid for. I live alone with my dog and I love it all. Just works well for me personally. :)
Same here
@@user-kv7vw6bk2b Me too
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 okay
Same here. ✌️
Took the easy way to financial independence I see…
What I love about this clip…Adam didn’t speak.
its hard for him to add anything relevant when 2 real men are speaking....
@@darrenhere5856 true. Adam Sosnick is a child 100%. Either that, or deserver an Oscar.
I spent my childbearing years serving my country in the military. My legacy is your freedom.
Thank you for your words Mike and thanks for the question Patrick
Kids are awesome. Best thing I ever did. Find a good Lady and do it right.
He does have an awesome voice.
Always great interviews
For most people, they’ll die as a basic ass average human being, never making a mark. The truth is for all some people have is their kids. That’s the most “success” they’ll ever have. The hope is when they die, their kids will actually be more than a “blip” or “NPC” like their parents. I don’t know, why anyone would have kids today, if you’re not owning a home, have a solid financial portfolio, means to create income outside of a 9-5 and so on.
I own 2 business, military medical retirement and been to multiple countries. Only in America is the idea of having kids, just to have kids while being an adult failing to “have shit” is applauded.
Sad.
this man is once in a generation gem
got close to having a family once.. this world tho? these humans? these devices? this food? nope
Children are extremely important - both biological and adoptees. In fact the latter have been very influential historically eg the prophets Moses, Jesus of Nazareth, Mohammed, Emperor Augustus, "The 5 Good Roman Emperors", Hannibal Petrovich (Pushkin's grandfather), Nelson Mandela,
Legacy isn't for everyone and if you're a creative person then those creations are your kids. I'm 45 and have never married and no kids. Never say never but...
Same here, 46. Might take a trip to Nevada one day, see what the big deal is about $ex.
then you are a failure. you have ended your family line that has been continuing for generations of thousands of years. YOU ended that.
I resonate so much more with mike then I do pat. Sometimes his questions are so cringy it’s like he doesn’t understand his guests sometimes.
We are meant to have kids but times change. Anyone can have kids and the problem is dumb people produce way too many dumb kids
Hence the movie Idiocracy
Everyone inspired by his works and show to work with their hands and make a blue collar career is his legacy
I think having children is a great idea but I want to have them later in life like atleast age 40 and I’m a guy I plan to stay super fit healthy and financially well off. I’m 30 now having too much fun rightnow
Mannnn ur thirties 30s go by soooooooo fuqin fast be careful
Unless you make a societal impact, I would say...Probably yes you must have children to leave behind a legacy.
he's avoiding one dirty job - infantile waste mngmnt.
Kids aren’t for everyone. I am the oldest of six kids (46yrs old now) and I have a bunch of nieces and nephews to enjoy and I don’t have to feed them 😂
Stay tuned for more life hacks
Seems like Mike knows that a dirty job he doesn’t want to have. Lol
Do me a favor, Google , " teen threatens parent."
I've noticed, in my family / friends, like 30%-40% of the children are dysfunctional. One 14 year abuses cough medicine & threatens his parents. Another teen, won't eat food & looks full on anorexia.
Literally, one boy that is a underachiever , but is not disobedience problem , is actually a good kid, in comparison.
Seems like we need to focus resources on fixing these kids, rather than just making more kids.
My two cents.
Great video
mike rowe's philosophy on marriage "don't bring sand to the beach!"
the DNA is important mike!
Oxford dictionary~
Legacy: money or property that is given to you when someone dies.
Now read the title of the video
If I'd get a decent paying job I'd be married.
YES.
if he wants to have kids, I volunteer
will you have a baby with me?
We need protection of all humans life from moment of conception.
Short answer: yes, especially the legacy and pride of a last name.
The ones who disagree can kick rocks
“My legacy is a crackhead multiple times felon and a sales clerk at a smut shop.”
Lol “can kick rocks” macho man
Hope your kids kick your rocks around when you have one or the two of the damn little devils
You don’t miss what you don’t have I love my life kids free and am 40 😊
@@user-kv7vw6bk2b and I know many people like you that have regretted it the moment they get sick. Saddest, many times angriest, patients as well
@@heinzyketchupy4175 Literally people have kids & they still have to go to the nursing home when they get old cause their kids don’t want to take care of them. Brainwashing at its finest
He looks like Mr TMZ?
He is missing SOOOO much about life by not having a child….I feel bad for the guy.
Too many variables. Somone might have the best desires but too many chances to produce a societal burden fuk up that will drain you for years. I'll take my chances of my genetics being completely diluted in two generations and enjoy my money now
Kids are dead weight
@@briansheridan411 yea, YOU definitely shouldn’t procreate ha.
Of coarse, having a kid is easy. Raising the kid is harder.
Unless you’re a woman, then both are hard… lol
Legacy (both kids and otherwise) is a fallacy.
You can do something greater than legacy that has nothing to do with children. Happy, accomplished, and unaccomplished people (by societies standards) understand this.
The problem with having a child is that a woman is involved) he he he. The courts on her side, and ur influence is diluted.
Not all the time
Did Adam's dad ever have a son ???
Jesus Christ left a heck of a legacy and he didn’t have any kids (according to mainstream Christianity)
so true.
I think you do....unless of course you can pull off a legacy like 2PAC ...its .the kids that keep him alive🙄
No, I don’t think so. Take a look at the legacy left by Simón Bolívar, he never had a child.
OOOOO. PAT DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THIS. PAT THINKS HE IS GOLDEN AS A FATHER. NO ONE BETTER
Do you have to have children to have a legacy...the answer is the same.
I pray to St. Bernadette, Padre Pio is prayed to all over the world, St. Benedict has medal, the founder of the Jesuits a former Crusader soldier left behind the Jesuit order which is an instituion with a remarkable history exceeding that of the United States Army. The Jesuit high schools and university in Milwaukee develop young minds, careers, and real estate. The Jesuits have left behind a legacy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin no single married couple or family can match.
I pray to Satan
pray to God directly, not men. smh. The rule and teachings have changed so much. Jesus prayed directly TO the CREATOR. Never pray to men.
I have 9 children my friend
You're a machine
When you're in a society ran by people 'destroying the family' - all legacy eventually ends.
If your kids don't end up making broken homes - their kids will.
Each generation will become more 'Americanized'.
'Generational familial knowledge' will be lost.
Most Americans couldn't tell you the names of their great grandparents - and at least half, couldn't tell you their grandparents' names.
You have to be fanatical to keep legacy when moving here.
And being I don't think PBD's wife is even Iranian - you already know the outcome of his legacy. lol
Modern women no longer have the values to make it 50 years together.
Jesus never had children--nor Pope John Paul 2--what parent in the world today has left a legacy on par with Jesus? 🙄 Hubris.
The Holy Blessed Mother of Christ comes closest to having a legacy approaching that of her son's Christ King, Lord or Lords.
they know elon everything 0ati breakthrough
A former opera singer, who has no wife, no kids, lives in San Francisco, and now works in television. Is Mike Rowe gay?
🤔
Odd rationalization..
