From a former H/C pilot: good training flight, looking very good, you are on the right track, for sure and I agree with Lester, you had a good instructor. So, in reference to your video about last year: forget 2021, 2022 will be fine. All the best
Cool, reminded me on when i was in flight School in the Huges 300, pinnacle landings during mountain training, max slope landings, confined are landings and takeoff, sling load, pretty intense period in Commercial flightshool
I am so glad you are showing your Helicopter Training. As I get older, I realize if I want to continue to fly, flying Helicopters is the only way to go. The new designs are really like a flying car. The maneuverability unquestionably meets all of my flying needs for my age and as I get older. I once hated Helicopters and vowed I would never fly an "Egg Beater". "Mover", not only have you "Ruined" all of my aviation movies, you also "Ruined" my vow to never fly an "Egg Beater". I am now a "Helicopter Convert". I now dream of flying and owning the Robinson R44 Raven II or something like it. Thanks "Mover"!!
Great video and work toward that commercial checkride Mover! Also, in reference to the Mirage wanting to do the fly-by of the tower, since they told him they saw something "pop out" after the gear went up, unless he did a gear swing there on the ground, I think he wanted them to see if like a door fell open or something after the gear went up.
Watched an AirWolf video on YT the other day and the copter went past Mach 1.0 and had a good laugh ! Thought of your channel since you use the theme song.
there was a medical chopper went down in Philadelphia today, looked pretty bad, but they credit the pilot for no one seriously injured. might be interesting to find out more about this
Great video. Can you do a 10 minute follow up with clips of some of the screw ups and explanation of what's exactly didn't go right? Cause you're not breaking the helicopter and a lot of times it's hard to figure out why seem unhappy with the outcome.
Pls do more mover Rollins movies, I love the way u just gave that info graphics guy a run for his money ,I actual watch that video it got me down but I never gave up and I am still doing more research . 👨✈️👨✈️👨✈️
I like how mover tries to be hardest on himself and Lesters having to pull him up and go 'No'.. It's a common trait for any one but it's great to see the instructor noticing the students doing it and basically calling them out on it, you are at times your own worse critic.
There's something hanging off one of your wings, you wanna come back for a full stop to inspect? Nah I'm good. Thanks for your concern. Is that the gist of what I heard on the radio!?!? WTF!?!?
I first tried fixed wing and since my then instructor kept telling me I'd never gonna make it, I switched to helicopter. Turned out that fixed wing instructor was really an idiot
@@kenmeyer100 Why would a fixed wing pilot ever say such a thing, I've never heard of an instructor being so negative like a high school teaching telling a student "you're never going to make it" because you had long hair and smelled of the chronic
@@harpoon_bakery162 it was an old (over 70 ) grumpy former bush pilot. Took me several years to get over it. I also live in a country where people don't have that positive kind of attitude towards another
Do you plan on getting a heli flying job since you are getting your commercial rating? Just wondering because getting to watch you fly police helos or something like that would be a cool edition to the channel.
If you want to get technical the shudder at 8:50 is Transverse Flow, closely associated with Effective Translational Lift ;P Glad to see you turning blades some more Mover!
A bunch of us suggested that you go for your commercial right from the start, but you rejected this advice at the time. Glad you are going for it, but why did you change your mind?
Everything is looking great! I passed my commercial checkride last week. This was my last prep video: ua-cam.com/video/1na_dwKdFWA/v-deo.html. I practiced 180's for weeks with no wind, then on checkride day it was windy. I was coming up short, but milked it in the flare. Here's hoping for calm winds on your checkride day. Best of luck!
Lester didn't really explain why collective should be full down and then pull as needed when entering an auto. If you get used to putting the correction in immediately you might have problems getting required RPM when faced with a real engine out. In that case you won't be as prepared to react, inevitably the reaction will take longer and the RPM will be lower by the time the collective hits the stops. Combine that with less than perfect pitch attitude and things get worse. If muscle memory causes you to hedge on full down then RPM recovery will take even longer or not happen in time.
The good ole boy in 1921J was having himself a DAY. We've all been there dude, there are some days the machine just isn't having it. Park it and go home.
I'm a newbie.... So help me out here .. You actually take off and then you come back to the strip to do the actual take off?? Is this a touch and go type exercise or something I clearly don't understand?...

Lester: "Damn you must had a good instructor!"
Mover: "And humble too."
I loved this moment, helicopter videos with Lester are always great 😎.
Man, when you nail your request for departure in the perfect pilot voice and ATC responds with "Say again?"....
Hahaha I know that made me cringe a bit
Love Lester's view of reality - last 25 feet... "this is where you kill everybody." Great instructor, to the point.
Military Huey pilot here (about 3500hrs) - loved watching back to basics. Memories of training on the 206. Cheers
The com between ATC and 219 Juliet would have been enough for me to screw EVERYTHING up going on lmao. Thanks for sharing the progression Mover
Lester is cool... he reminds me of an upgrade trainer I had when I was active Air Force.... a lot of valuable knowledge and a ton of experience!
1:00 - We've got Lester, and the theme-tune... We're starting at a 👍, and only getting better!
I love the airwolf style intro!
Who dosent!
looks like Lester is doing ALOT better. Be safe. Fly Straight.
Good to see Lester back on the channel

Good to see the both of you! 1👍🤙
Awesome video!! Good to see Lester and Mover in the machine again.
Whoop whoop. Yes we get some Lester🤩
Always nice to see Lester!
That country dude on the radio in the background was hilarious. Scary, but hilarious.
I get a sneaking suspicion that Mover will be working with the sheriff office heli unit after he's completed commercial.
I was wondering the same
with all the flying he's been doing with them I wouldn't be surprised
21J needs a safety pilot at this point.. good lord. Nice job riding the 6 sec bull in those winds, mover. Cheers.
Good to see Lester back but even then just seeing them bicker is entertaining.
Lester reminds me of the f4 phantom pilots from Vietnam such badasses but love to tell you stuff and is glad your with him talking
Lester is the man !
That was awesome - loved every second! Thanks for the share.
Haven't watched it yet but i already know it's gonna be a banger!
always good to see Lester!
Nice vid Mover, always entertaining with Lester.
Would be awesome to see Lester demo maneuvers.
good luck on your check ride when that day comes. We all will be praying for you.
AIRWOLF THEME MAN !!! Love it, knew you were a alright dude bro! Good stuff man
Nice job Mover! Thanks for sharing your experience!
WOW Lester is back!!! Great video, Thanks Mover!!!
Lester's back!!!! Sweet vid, Thanks Mover!

Some really smooth flying there, Mover :)
Nice....I like the modified "Airwolf" theme 👍🏾🤘🏾🤙🏾
Also, let "Lester" know his instructorship has been "instrumental" in motivating my desire to fly Helicopters. Thanks "Lester"!!
anytime! good luck and contact me if i can help!
yes i finally fixed the
recommendation proble, also great video i love seeing lester again
great flying !
Your auto full touchdown will leave the examiner awestruck...:) - The intense training with Dr Salmon will pay

The boys are back in town 🚁
LUV THE WIND THREAD 😎
A couple of American heroes. 🇺🇸
The similar notes to the Air Wolf intro was great! Another great video.
That Intro 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Like what I see. I would recommend you for the Space Shuttle Program. If there was one. Those dead stick landings make Space Cowboys look easy.

Props for the Air Wolf cover at the start.
Alright it's a clear, clear, clear day!
Love the shoes mover.. lol
Well that's my day made!!!
Kisses/bounces count as landings for the logbooks. Totally. ;-)
Nice HYD off running landing. That is a very difficult maneuver.
loved it :)
Love the vids with Lester. Any updates on his hurricaned property? Were they able to recover anything?
The thumbnail of lester tonguing the microphone is classic

Hey mover you should get an interview with Kim "killer chick" cambell she has amazing stories that i think would groove well with your channel
It's amazing our simple ape minds can do something like this...there is so much going on and he's simply doing low circuits at the airport.
So much for skipping over the Commercial and going straight to the ATP. :-)
i wouldn't trust anyone but Lester for Heli training
@8:50 - Effective transitional lift. I knew that answer because of Casmo's videos.
Heck yeah! Back into the air!
that messed up airwolf cover thingy
intro get me every time...
Mover!
How on earth you didn't review the Firefox film for Clint Eastwood in 1982!!
Please make a special video to review it and let's have fun :)
I like your sunglasses... what brand are they
i gotta look up heli bird strikes, dont think ive seen one.
Did AF reserve flew drond such predator or reaper?
Mover and Lester are like Conjoined twins always side by side 😂😂😂

"Dont be hard on yourself. That's what you pay me for"
Remember your "5 - S's" and "5 - W's" for your off airport landings.
You may have mentioned this before, are you flying out of KNEW? South side of the lake?
Lester!
“Where are we at?”
🤣
ATIS says Notice to Airmen instead of the authorized Notice to Air Missions.
Whats the best path to becoming a "commercial" helicopter pilot? If thats what they are called. Have always been interested in rotorcraft
There's enough T-6s there at Lakefront to start a Det.
Great Vid!
Hey, what is the song called that starts at approx. 0.35. (its not the one listed in the video description)
It’s a cover of the theme song to the 1980’s TV show AIRWOLF.
@@Stepclimb Many thanks!
Mover how many hours do you need ontop of your ppl to test for commercial?
35 hrs PIC
There's something hanging off one of your wings, you wanna come back for a full stop to inspect?
Nah I'm good. Thanks for your concern.
Is that the gist of what I heard on the radio!?!? WTF!?!?
Are those military owned Texan IIs or privately owned?
Military. Thus the reason he says "taxpayer toys" at 02:30
US Navy. They paint all their trainers white and orange.
TBM Avenger or Daher TBM lol big difference
Maverick is requesting a fly by to check his wings?
Examiner once told me... Now you have a license to learn. I think of those words often.
21J, you want an accident. Because that's how you get an accident.
Who do the T-6’s belong to?
US Navy
I can fly a plane, but helicopters are just a whole different level
Those pedal turns in wind are not easy, Mover makes it look easy.

Well Mover, if you ever get a chance to fly in a Cobra, take it. More a fighter pilot's style. I'm sure you have some Marine friends.
