Good job Caleb!
If Caleb can do it, I can do it! Thanks for the turorial.
i was going to say that! Caleb knows what to do!
Don't be so sure about that Dear Sir :D
That's the spirit!
Doubters.... The Apostle Thomas went thought route with the same result.
So true!
@@joshuawfinn It would be nice if UA-cam wouldn't guess words for me. "thought" for "that" ! LOL... AI is going to work out real well.
@@curtis5445 no worries, thanks to not being a robot, I understood. AI is very much a GIGO machine, and it's definitely being fed plenty of garbage by its creators.
Itu benar-benar keren 👍👍🥰🥰
Oh man, watch out dad…you may have created a monster! Fantastic flights! World always needs another aeronautical engineer 😃👍
Yeah he's really latched onto all this. What we all really have to watch out for, though, is his little brother who is equally competitive and very good at copying big brother's efforts.
wow 👍👍👍
Like father, like son 😊
I suspect we do need to know the "vital stats". I just don't think what Caleb was about to read off the CA bottle qualifies as "vital". The only thing that might be close to "vital" is the thickness but even that is not absolutely essential. ;)
Plans for the plane are published in a few places but hopefully I'll have more detailed data available for download soon. :)
@@joshuawfinn Wrong "vital stats". You clearly did not get the joke. Notice I did say "I just don't think what Caleb was about to read off the CA bottle qualifies as "vital"" indicating the stats I was talking about are about "the CA bottle". You may need to watch your own video to get the joke.
@@bitogre no I was trying to make a decent reply and clearly my level of exhaustion is giving me tunnel vision. I'll tell Caleb he needs to at least say how much glue is in the bottle next time! 🤣
Nice job starting Caleb of on the journey Dad started me on in 1949. I hope you & Caleb have as good a trip as we enjoyed. Seems I remember a counterbalanced single-bladed prop being used on some rubber-powered planes in my time and earlier. The rationale was the single-blade counterbalanced prop encountered less disturbed air than its normal two-bladed counterpart. I can only find helicopter rotor patents, such as US Patent 2742095, but I know propellers were built similarly. I expect the touted benefits are much less than claimed, as there aren't being built other than as test props to run on test stands.
That's some awesome history for you! My involvement in aviation has also been passed down through several generations.
You do correctly remember the thing about single blade props. Somewhere on my channel is video of the famous Korda Wakefield design, complete with a period-correct single blade folding prop. There are still a few people using them on full scale Piper J-3 Cubs, and they remain popular in glow powered control line racing and electric pylon racing. Very much a niche thing as they must be tuned to the specific application.
@@joshuawfinn , the Everel propeller was made by Sensenich for Everel and type certified on the Taylor A and J-2 Cub. The two-blade prop was lighter and easier to make which meant it cost less so the single blade never really caught on.
Josh, I feel insulted for you. I have known your family for about 4 years and I don't think I have ever met a more forthright and honest family in the hobby community. I have watched you and Hope and the boys test fly at the Perry Ag Center for hours at a time. There is a saying, "Jealousy is a t********* w*****" that seems to explain the situation.
Yes unfortunately sometimes these things happen when you start appearing to be relevant in competition.
Well done
