- Twisters is an upcoming American disaster film directed by Lee Isaac Chung with a screenplay by Mark L. Smith from a story by Joseph Kosinski.[5] Produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, it is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister. The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos.
Twisters is scheduled to be released by Universal Pictures in North America and Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on July 19, 2024.

This looks incredible! Buuuuut I'm the weirdo that has watched every single natural disaster movie on ALL of the platforms even the ones with £2 budgets on Amazon 😂 Can't get enough of them, there is no getting bored of the force and beauty of nature. Oh how I wish I could be a storm chaser on the other side of the pond. I'll have to stick to following them on UA-cam and watching movies I guess. This is exciting! Thanks for the review, Mark 😊
I've been a bit of a weather buff since I was a child, and tornadoes with multiple vortices have been recorded by the likes of Reed Timmer and Pecos Hank (you can find their videos on UA-cam). They actually had one in the original... the one with the famous cow line 😉
As far as Twisters as a film... I think they've left a good amount of time between the first one and the sequel, enough time to show us all the advances that have been made in the last couple of decades.
I think it looks like great fun. But I do fear they just showed us the whole movie. I hate when they use up the best parts on the trailer.
I will say every since the first teaser man, I was so darn skeptical because you know it's like "are they gonna show too darn much and will it spoil the film by showing too much and the first one didn't and I was happy then I became skeptical again when they released this trailer because it's like there gonna show too much in this one and after I watched it I am genuinely surprised because they showed more, obviously, but I'm still intrigued because there still wasn't much of a story-telling in this trailer either and I loved that. Yeah it showed more tornado action but I still don't exactly know the actual plot and know there will be one.
