From New Line Cinema, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, comes the tornado disaster film "Into the Storm." Steven Quale ("Final Destination 5") directs the film, which is produced by Todd Garner ("Zookeeper," "Knight and Day").
In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.
Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, "Into the Storm" throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

I was a storm chaser for a bit and let me say one thing, you can't even begin to understand the pure power Mother Nature produces when she is mad. It lifts cars, trucks, barns, and has NO prejudice on who it kills. It is sheer unstoppable power that to quote Twister it EATS everything in its path.

*Without a doubt, the best tornado movie made since **_Twister_** from 1996. The effects are seriously good and has quality to realism. Unlike many other tornado movies that just seem too bad. 10/10 from me. Deserves a sequel in my opinion.*

I've always been obsessed with learning about tornados ever since the original storm chasers TV show.
My dad, knowing this, decided to take me to see this film in cinema with my younger brother.
There was no one else in the theater apart from us and for 13 year old me, that was so cool. We had a whole cinema screen to ourselves.
It was actually really enjoyable for me. Yes I was only 13 at the time but that was the peak of my tornado interest.
Goes to show a film doesn't have to be a master piece of cinema with a sellout audience to be enjoyed.

Ef5 is what we call a “foundation sweeper”. Nothing left. Homes are slabbed. Just pure annihilation. Ef6 would be incomprehensibly destructive

Totally. Watching twister on a 60's TV in bluray. It is incredible that very few effects are noticeable. The rest is very real.

I love how UA-cam recommended this to me today, the 17th June 2019 precisely 5 years to the day that this video was uploaded.
The kind of movie that was made for the big screen! You can't base it on just the trailer because if you read the description it is a found footage movie and centers quite a bit around the relationships, finding family after the storm, seeking shelter with strangers, chasing the storm with fellow chasers, etc... the trailer is made to spark interest in people who will go just for the action, those who would go for the rest would have read more into the story or will see it one they hear how it was
1996: We've got cows.
2013: We've got sharks.
2014: We've got an entire airport.
Saw this in theaters a few days after it was released, loved every minute of it. Thank you Warner Bros.

This is kind of silly how it's done, but many people say there is a legit calm right before the tornado gets to you. Obviously this one would be ripping up trees and was way too close for this to occur.

The movie has a lot of elements of the Joplin, Missouri tornado in 2011. The local high school graduation celebration was interrupted by a massive tornado. Those of us who live in Missouri and throughout Tornado Alley know exactly what these storms can do. This is going to be a wild ride!!!

I just watched this movie like 2 days and let me tell you... wow! So I decided to make my own little "Natural Disaster Movie Universe" kind of like the MCU, DCU, F&F but ONLY with Natural Disaster movies and I used this movie as the official kick off for my universe. And let me tell you I have absolutely no regrets for ever buying this movie on Blu-Ray. This has to be the 2nd best tornado movie imo. First being Twister ofcourse! 🙂 For those who just checked out the trailer and haven't seen it yet... don't hesitate, watch it! You won't regret it! 😉
