can't just let this video out without saying even a simple words "this person is really an interesting guy, he got an style"....Live the Life you Love!
Really like your vids, great content and scenery (I love central Oregon too). Your fire got my attention, and I subscribed. Glad you're back at it already.
Glad you are happy with the new jeep, and good to see you landed on your feet. Shopping for new gear will be like a kid going Christmas shopping. More fun than the law allows. Thanks for sharing your journeys.
That's my way of camping, i don't like roof top don't like fridges don't like a whole lot of gear, yes it's nice but with a sleeping bag, tent, bed, cooler and food and good drink and your set plus a bag of tools, now i carry 2 fire extinguishers if not for me atleast for others you never know. glad to see you back man.
Thank you. I’m super happy to be back on the trail. And to be honest it was thanks in big part to a lot of support from all of you. No way I could have bounced back this quick without your help. I still have a lot of gear to replace to get back to where I was, but at least I have the basics enough to get back out there. Cheers!
Great video Casey! I’m really stoked you are out with a new vehicle and breaking her in right! Can’t wait for the in depth Coyote Works 2.0 Jeep walk around! Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this "old style camping video". Thanks and congratulations on the newer jeep, having a smooth ride is the the best and getting tossed around the cab because your suspension is rock hard is the worst.
I’m glad you bought another Jeep after that terrible loss of your other Jeep. Look at this this way you have the best of the best . A Jeep recon rubicon 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Holy Moses when you said "waiting for my water to boil To make my breakfast and coffee" THaT VIEW! Wow! Unreal and gorgeous! Sorry for 3 comments but just living vicariously thru ya! Goin thru a divorce and man just think it'd be great to get my expedition ready 4runner out there! Utahs callin me!
For sure my friend. Yeah that spot is a real gem. I rarely ever camp twice in the same spot but this place I’ll be going back too. I just love that setting with the big old juniper trees on the edge of that big old dry lake bet with the rim rock cliffs bordering the lake bed on the opposite side. Pretty amazing. Good luck moving forward from the divorce. I’ve been there my friend. But getting out in the woods is great therapy!
Wonderful to see you back having fun. Wish I could be there to share the experience with you. I recently spent a week in the the mountains around Steamboat Springs, CO. with my wife and best friend and his wife. Unfortunately we couldn't camp due to my wife's chemotherapy not allowing her to feel the best all the time. Had to condo it with a hot tub....sucked bad. Glad your back
Hello from the East Coast, Casey! I found your channel earlier this morning...the episode with your Jeep fire. Sorry about your loss, man, it sucks to lose your ride and gear. Anyway, I turned 71 this year and decided to change my way of camping. No more long hiking treks in the mountains. I'll drive my Jeep to mountain campsites now. Your camp set up is pretty sweet, actually. I haven't slept on an Army cot since I retired almost 31 years ago. I bought a Coleman cot with a cheap pad but I will replace it with something more substantial. Slowly I will custom rig my Jeep. I have pretty much the same gear you have in this video. Thanks for sharing and I'll be following you to learn more.
I just want to say how sorry I am about your previous Jeep, but so happy things are working out and that you’re back out there. Really enjoy your videos. Very inspiring.
It's true what they say, you can't keep a good man down very pleased you found a Jeep that conforms to your requirements. It's strange that only a few videos back you were explaining that a person doesn't need lots of expensive equipment to enjoy the outdoors well you just proved that point entirely Cody. It was the circumstance of your loss that was the pissed.
Thank you. Yeah there is definitely some advantages and convenience that come along with a lot of that overland gear. But at the end of the day it doesn’t take a lot to get out there, have a good time, and be relatively comfortable while you are doing it. Cheers!
It's been my dream to have one of those jeeps and take it off road but unfortunately I pull alot of trailers so I'll have to stick to my crew cab truck for now. Looking forward to seeing you build your new jeep. It sucks you had to loose your jeep you had in the fire but hey now you have a blank canvas and another build to keep you busy.
Thanks my friend. They are pretty fun rigs for exploring the backcountry for sure. I hear you. Was a bummer losing the other Jeep. Truthfully I just wish I still had it. But I’m going to make the best of the new one.
I live in Bend Oregon only 45 minutes from Prineville, Casey's hometown. Really like your videos, maybe we can meet up someday. Been exploring central Oregon for 12 years now, for mines, ghost towns, caves, metal detecting. I like your videos of setting up camp, your cooking.
Most of the time, simple is best. The stew you cooked looked delicious. The only thing I would have changed in that stew would be to add a can of Spam, LOL. Seriously, I am super glad that you picked up a nice Jeep and are back on the trail. Haven't heard any complaining about camping under a tarp. Nice Work!!!!
Glad you are back. Nice Jeep. It is gratifying to see that all of the skills you learned up the use of a roof top tent came back to you. It is a testament to training, tenacity and loving the endeavor.
Good to see you know how to get back to the basics. You have the knowledge and experience to show the greenhorns how to get a cheap truck, high clearance van or other rig. Show them how to get outfitted at the thrift shop, garage sale and swap meet for under a hundred with a stove, sleeping bag and tent. Fresh and canned food, ice and some fuel are what you need to sustain a good adventure. People need to see it is not the gadgets but, the intention to go that makes for a real adventure. Let's see more of your old school knowledge and skill to show how to go with a 2wd to some equally remote places. Get a rookie started and break 'em in.
Fantastic trip. Thank you. Good to see you back out. I just returned from TN. On an outing with my RTT and awning setup. Loved every minute of it. Kudos to you and Primal Outdoors for the inspiration.
Big 'Hi' from Kuwait my friend first of all am so sorry for your lost i know this feeling, but life is too short to be sad, so gratz for the new Recon, I have one same model but in Gobi color and am in love with it.. Keep it up and am sure you will build this rig better than the old one, cheers
My old jeep 1993 been down lots of trails from Texas to Wyoming and lots of points in between. It ain’t fancy but paid for . Lots of cool places out there just have to go look. Nice rig .
Ha! Great eye for detail. Yeah there are quite a few bats out in that country and they often times swoop through camp at night feeding on the bugs that are concentrating around my camp lights. It’s pretty neat to see. Cheers!
Apologies for not having commented until now but I’ve been watching your videos for a while and absolutely adore the country side you’re in. I used to live in Indian Springs Nevada and plan to return to the area .Sorry about your jeep. I can see that you’re busting your ass to make these videos and wanted to say please don’t stop, I posthumously love this shit !!
Sorry to hear about your other Rubicon,,wow ! I watched your video when it caught fire, and you took it much better than i would have. Sorry for your loss. The new one looks awesome !
I`ve seen just about all your video`s, and enjoy seeing those. I love the outdoors as well and hope to see more of your video`s soon. Glad to see you didnt let your unfortunate incident get you down brother, just keep on truckin ! Peace !
Glad to see your out again. I like the new rig! I did like the color of the old I must say though. Happy trails and best of luck! Btw. They make a specific insert that will eliminate the seat belt reminder which also acts as a release extender for seatbelt that are so deep to connect. I use them. They work great! Look them up on Amazon!
I agree my friend. I really liked the color of my old Jeep. I'm not so crazy about the color of the new one. Thanks for the tip on the seatbelt alarm delete. I'll give a look for them!
Great old school Vid ! Wrap the seatbelt behind the seat then buckle it , I have some 1952 green canvas cots great to sleep on with old school wool blanket and poncho .
Get another loose seat belt buckle and just click it in when you get on the trail. Glad to see you're in another jeep and still have a good attitude. Cheers sir.
Great video. So glad you are back out there. Please make some info vids on new equipment plans and why your picking them. And better why you arent replacing some items, either never really used or liked them. It will help us decide what is just extra and not needed. If you get some donations by sponsors let us know. We can support those folks too. Love the jeep color. Much improved.
So happy you are back doing what you love. I have been watching your channel for the last year and enjoy every episode. Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing.
Basic car camping? Back to the basics, and isn’t it great! I really enjoyed the video Casey, glad to see you out of doors once again. Keep on sharing with us as we look forward to each new adventure.
Thank you my friend. It was really good to be back out there. And I do really enjoy getting back to the basics sometimes. Brings back a lot of good memories. Glad you enjoyed!
Nice meaty grippy looking tires! I camp in the remote outback of Nevada nugget hunting with detectors and can appreciate great tires. 2 ply sidewall tires can easily be flattened with sharp rocks out there. Looks like you will be back to normal with your camping and vehicle soon.
half time ohio and indiana game went to u tube did a double take and yes casey i got my surprise looks good and you didnt forget how to set up old school camp glad to have you back have fun stay free
I know. But you'll see me doing a few more old school trip videos still. I have a 1999 GMC truck that I've been getting in shape to get out in a bit. I'm going to keep it bone stock and just run it old school.
Awesome! Looking forward to it. You will feel like your in a buckboard wagon! lol Oh how i miss my old trucks. way to bounce back bud, your a good roll model.
Glad to see you out and about finally. Guess I kind of do my camping through you now because of health issues hope to be able to camp again. Disabled and it is even better difficult to do cabin rentals. My wife and I have not given up our Jeeps because we like them to much. We have an 08 unlimited and I have an 04 Rubicon. Enjoy your new Jeep.
can't just let this video out without saying even a simple words "this person is really an interesting guy, he got an style"....Live the Life you Love!
Most probably your best video. Just proves that you don't have to buy half an outdoor shop to go camping!
Hey !!!! That vehicle insurance company did a great restoration and paint job on that burned out Jeep !!!!
I think the tires are new.
Speedster202 It was a little sarcasm. lol
Really like your vids, great content and scenery (I love central Oregon too). Your fire got my attention, and I subscribed. Glad you're back at it already.
How the insurance will claim for a new Jeep?
That's why I love UA-cam...people don't pick up on sarcasm. lol
My mouth is watering! I've never tried curry in a stew pot before but I think that I will. Thanks for the inspiration!
It’s a great camp meal! Cheers!
Glad you are happy with the new jeep, and good to see you landed on your feet. Shopping for new gear will be like a kid going Christmas shopping. More fun than the law allows. Thanks for sharing your journeys.
Thank you my friend!
I’m glad you didn’t get hurt in your Jeep fire! Good lessons to share and I’m learning a lot from your Chanel. Cool stuff.
Nice rig! It's good to see that you're metaphorically on fire without being literally on fire. 😄
Ha! Yes. I much prefer to only be metaphorically on fire! Lol
Hi, glad to see you have another vehicle and that's what I call camping, I'm still doing it like that, simple and easy.
Good to see you back again. New Jeep. New adventure
For sure. It felt great to be back on the trail again!

Thank you. Yes so far she’s treating me well ;-)
GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK Casey !
Thank you my friend. It’s good to be back on the trails!
Nice to see you bring back the old school camping. People seem to think you need to load up on expensive gear to enjoy the outdoors.
Awesome video Casey. Glad to have you back so quickly after the fire.
Thank you. I’m super happy to be back on the trail. And to be honest it was thanks in big part to a lot of support from all of you. No way I could have bounced back this quick without your help. I still have a lot of gear to replace to get back to where I was, but at least I have the basics enough to get back out there. Cheers!

Sets up cot to sleep out in the wild, dumps food out to bait in coyotes in the night. You have earned the platinum man card. Lol!
Your camping style amazes me. Keep up the great work
So happy for you to get a new Jeep.
Good to see you back Casey! Best of luck to you!
Wonderful to see you back having fun. Wish I could be there to share the experience with you.

I agree 100%. I like that good old canvas and wood gear. Just something about it that goes well with the back country!
It's true what they say, you can't keep a good man down very pleased you found a Jeep that conforms to your requirements.

Nice meaty grippy looking tires! I camp in the remote outback of Nevada nugget hunting with detectors and can appreciate great tires. 2 ply sidewall tires can easily be flattened with sharp rocks out there. Looks like you will be back to normal with your camping and vehicle soon.
