Leave it up to Ubisoft to turn incredible games into shit. I just fucking died from my helicopter hitting me after I parachuted out. Not to mention the first time I died was because I got stuck in a rock
I've gotten many comments similar to this one, and so I'll go ahead and pin this. I say it in this video, and this is partly one reason why to avoid helicopters in Ghost Mode! Avoid anything that flies, or bikes, just because. This can happen, and it's hapepned to so many people. Do still take the parachute just in case, but avoid these things like the plague unless the mission requires it! lol
@@Darkdally Thank you.. It feels like with Ubisoft (excluding their golden Assassin's Creed series) they start out great with the beautiful landscape, etc. but by the end they have depleted all their resources and energy. Don't get me wrong I will always play every Ubisoft game and spend money on it, but I feel they should polish their games a little more. Plus the micro transactions how they make the 20$ credit pack is just shy of 4000 credits so you have to buy another $5 pack or so.
Darkdally I feel like if you are playing Ghost mode death should be permanent only if you were in combat. It could be exploited but if it was toggleable it would save so many wasted hours.
Yep....2x I died, once,I was lvl 4,didnt have chute,so when I got hit by a SAM,I was about 40ft off the ground,so a chute wouldnt have worked anyway,& of course I cant just get out,so then the helo hit the ground & blew up,the game called it suicide. lvl6,I was doing great, grab a little bird, for mundane shite, land on a flat piece of land, get out,& fall through the Earth......That one REALLLLYY,PISSED ME OFF....And,it registered as getting shot. Same reason I wouldnt play Survival on Fallout 4,until mods came out,& made a save anywhere mod. I fuck up,its on me,but JUST like in real life,I FUCK'N HATE PAYING,FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S MISTAKES.......... And,what scares me worse than UNIDAD......Rock climbing,in Ghost Mode......I dont have enough fingers & toes,to count how many times I got stuck in between rocks....Some,are CLEARLY,wide enough for a fat arse to get out of,the other day,I got stuck between rocks that I could move around, but it wouldnt let me climb out. And,no joke,1 rock, came to my hip,a fuck'n 10yr old couldve climbed out. I mean,if you fall in a crack,& cant move....Thats more understandable, but,I said fuck it,(there was a SB base 10ft in front of me)if im stuck, might as well get some xp. Killed 3 choppers,at least 10,15 men, then I went down,& guess what.....I couldnt get out,but Weaver came in,healed me,then climbed out....Nice. And I was after a convoy,it was all I needed to get a skill, had it stopped,it was 50m to my left... I COULD SEE THE FUCK'N THING😡
I've had that happen a few times as well. In Ghost mode especially, I suggest staying away from anything that is sharp, motor driven or that can start a fire. ;)
I have 3 main tips for ghost mode solo: 1. Plan ahead and let your squad do all the heavy lifting - synch shot is your friend. 2. Upgrade your guns for hire and distraction to the fullest and use them to clear out bases - the only person who needs to survive is you. 3. Take no risks. Thinking of sliding down that cliff or running across a road without checking the traffic to save time? Just don’t - think of all the time you’ll lose if you die.
Here's a fun fact: You can abuse the option to turn off/on your AI teammates. If all 3 go down during an intense firefight, you can turn them off then back on immediately to revive them instead of risking your neck. This allows you the freedom to have the explosive/emp drone equipped instead of the medic one since you can only change those at ammo boxes.
Awww, too bad Ubi doesn't beta test stuff before releasing it. Magically disappearing dead teammates and reappearing alive kinda defeats the point of the mode.
Little advice I would add is if you are in a bad spot during a mission... Feel free to fail it. Shoot escorts, destroy mission vital equipment, etc... Better to get mission failed then overwhelmed and killed. Retreating should also be something to consider as well. Always be ready to break from engagements.
Yeah cause that's so realistic, if you failed in a real OP you would either be dead or court martialed or just in a lot of trouble. There is no restat in real life! So why play "realistic" if your gonna go against the meta.
@SNYDER Not all of us...... I play, hardest difficulty, no reticle, no HUD,except items.....Same reason I play Dark Souls,or get extremely hard mods for Fallout 4,I dig the challenge. Dude,im almost 50yrs old,& have been playing Ghost Recon, since the 1st game......That DUMBASS suit, has NO BUSINESS in a Ghost Recon game,& personally, I find it childish. If I want GTA,or better yet, dildo bats,Saints Row,ill play them, for that silly suit....But thats not my cup of tea,not why I bought the game. A FULLY,open world,MILSIM,is what GR,USE TO BE......I was in the store, just looking at everything, & it dawned on me......Its fuck'n gulosh man....Ever been poor,& you have random shite in the fridge, maybe leftovers from 2 different dinners?? Then you just throw all kinds of random shite together, that make no sense, but youre hungry........Thats Ghost Recon....FUCK'N GULOSH......
@@mitsukaritas I always here that chill dude it's a game... As opposed to what real life? ....so.... Tell me this. if this game is my real life hobby... Am I allowed to be not chill?
I played Advanced Warfighter lmao Forgot the name of the one I had on the PS2, but it was something like that I usually would just play with this explosive sniper and blow up AI
@@DubbaDDave if you haven't beaten him yet, check out a video by Carbon Meister. He shows were is the best place to fight predator. I followed it and beat it first attempt, and im by no means a pro or anything.
List of reasons I've died: Getting hit by the helicopter I just jumped out of. Being brave and taking on the Sam Fisher mission after taking down La Plaga. Getting hit by a car in the middle of the road and watching as my AI teammates stand over me and don't revive me. There's been more, but those are the ones I rember off the top of my head. Learn from my stupidity...
My man said being brave lol. You sir deserve 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Don't worry, same happened to me haha. Even with my team efficiency maxed, the Sam Fisher mission was crazy hard
I've lost characters due to the rez glitch. Fuck Ubisoft for wasting 34 hours I could have spent better. Even worse Im pretty sure the exoskell DOES FUCKING NOTHING Retards at least gave us an optical camo pack for snafu FUCKING SNAFU!! THATS THE MISSION I'VE STARTED EVERY ONE OF MY GHOSTS OFF WITH. Did I mention I actually wasted the time getting that vain and worthless trash? Thats right. Cleared all four secs of the cartel and whatever extra content I could. Fucking seriously Ubisoft? We all suffer this glitched trash for pretty armour that does nothing? For real how bad do they want people buying attatchment packs and other packs because they died in ghost mode 36 tiers in and cant get back up on the dead broken horse willingly. Defend it. Go ahead. You'll just look stupid doing so.
Yeah the time I died I didn't try, I just lay there and let it run out, but I figure it wouldn't hurt for someone to try - either way your character is gone. thanks for the info.
@Puggyjman 107: GOOD TO KNOW!! I was considering this since I'm now considering playing the damn ghost mode tonight. I was thinking something along the lines of, "I'll just bail BEFORE I DIE then i'm good". But I wouldn't have been apparently. TY.
Killing civilians or rebels wont give you a game over, i had tested this on accident. After i caught Marcus Jensen i accidentally ran over a few rebels and civilians, got a game over but didnt lose progress. I also fell through the map when getting out if a vehicle on a hill(vehicle bounced as getting out and knocked me through) luckily i exited the game(through menu) as soon as i fell through so all was good. Just be careful gettiing out if vehicles, ALWAYS come to a complete stop.
Yeah same here exept my accident was in vault mission in barvechos (pulpos mission) the bank was full of civilians that shot/killed with grenades while trying to shoot sicarios xD
That's why you don't play with Randoms. The only games you should play with Randoms are like halo and call of duty where it doesn't matter if you win or lose
I love ghost mode because it makes me play in a way that I’ve never had to play before. And it makes every action have consequences so you actually have to think and plan. it’s great, really glad they made this
An even better idea that is in line with what Ubisoft (and EA for example) stand for. Die ones, and the game crashes forcing you to buy the game again! I call it the MEGA transaction (maybe they will make me rich because of this idea?).
I think the safest way to get to tier 1 is to play on arcade mode. Take out a convoy, and switch to tier mode to get the reward from the truck. Switch back to arcade mode and repeat.
There are a lot of simple missions that reward high Tier point rewards. Most of the Koani stuff is fairly quick and easy (except for the air base and truck depot), other regions have some simple ones as well. I made the mistake of switching it up to finish some rebel ops stuff and exited the game while I was down. It was a big 40 hour/lost a Tier 19 character mistake, but It didn't take too long to get back to where I was since I'm not worried about clearing the Ghost Mode board anymore, though I would probably do it all again if they gave the prestige points again xD
@Thea where is the fun either way with that big of a grind ;) there is at a certain point nothing more left then boredom, i did already until Tier 1 without that trick but i was also not really enjoying doing everything over and over. I think doing a truck mission over and over would be just as much fun as the rest (or doing whatever) at a certain point :p. But atleast you can be proud after that and show everybody how cool Tier 1 is....(and meanwhile realising that none of that stuff was actually worth it hihi).
The drama if my life: Predator Predator Predator Own landmine Predator stepped on Predator All AI down and Predator kicks in Predator Forgetting to switch from GL to normal fire and blowing myself up Predator Predator self-destruct explosion Chopper I shot down falls over me killing me Killing chopper's pilot but the rest of unidad soldiers survive the fall and shoot me dead
See they should have made it like crackdown 1 take out the security you see them with crappy weapons, take out production less reinforcements, take out smuggling cheaper vehicles for them, take out influence, less initial guys at places. Make it that level immersive
When you enter a base I'd recommend waiting a minute for all of the enemies to load in or you'll end up like me, entering a base only to be killed by 5 enemies that decided to randomly pop in out of nowhere.
Ghost mode first of all has me playing again, second of all has me completely appreciating what this game was actually supposed to be. A patient, intense, intelligent strategy shooter.
You don't lose your character for killing rebels or civilian ,you start over like a failed mission. Don't risk it with all the bugs. Helicopters I used because I memorized the sams and downloaded the map where they are.
angelofchoasdeath helicopters are nice until game decides to kill u, I lost 8:30hrs cuz I got shot down by mortar, usually when ur close to the ground u crash and can get out before the helicopter blows up, but game decided I should die 😒 Maybe I'll try again but I won't put much or any focus on upgrading stuff cuz that takes allot of time.
Sometimes you can also die when you skydive out of a helicopter [the helicopter turns to the side on which you jumped out and slices your ass to pieces]. Only happaned to me twice yet since I got the game, but I wouldn't risk it in Ghost Mode. xD
Rashed1255 Dang sorry to hear that. Man I've have some crazy crashes and got shot down by a sam on my first character...survived shot down a 2 helos on my way to el sueno one rolled over me I went prone and lived the beat the mode. Only to have the game delete my save for no reason at tier 32 one my character 60 hours gone smh. 😒 You're right when game wants you died your dead. I don't scum save but I feel I'm about die by bs dashboard and continue.
Maestro Vadaak it happened to me several times, one way to guarantee this to happen is get in a plane and jump out while turned 90 degrees. There are certain ways to increase the chances of it happening but I'm not sure what they are, but if game wants to kill u it's unavoidable.
angelofchoasdeath yup, when game wants u dead, ur dead, I've literally been run over by AI over 5 times during my run, some even went off the road and after me while I was fighting off enemies, doesn't matter if they are civilians, rebels, or enemies, they are a huge threat while driving.
There's 1 mission where you're forced to use a plane to fly to an airstrip in media luna. My tip and this is how I did it: First take out the 3 SAM's at the airstrip you're taking off from. Take the plane and fly as high as possible. Proceed to fly to the airstrip. Once you are above the airstrip. Jump and and land with your parachute on the airstrip. *DO NOT* fly low over that airstrip. there's about 3 SAM's very close to that airstrip.
Omg I just did that mission and got shot down, my whole squad was able to jump out in time, thank god. We barely left the strip.. we decided to drive instead lol.
I just flew low the whole way, avoiding the canyons, stuck to the ground, and brought it to the airstrip. I really had no poblems with missile locks, but yeah, flying planes in Ghost mode makes me very nervous haha.
Avoid being in vehicles enitrely, when a vehicle gets destroyed and you're inside, you CAN be healed by your team, but it'll most likely be engulfed in flames long before they get you back on your feet. I died numerous times on Ghost Mode inside of vehicles, so get used to hoofing it and bushwacking through the sticks, but tread carefully, don't underestimate a drop. Oh, and don't base jump unless you're 100% certain your chute will deploy in time... lol
Could really use more PvE content though, more side missions like hostage rescue or vehicle extraction (to aid rebels) and repeatable side missions as well, maybe some randomly generated HVTs that you have to capture or eliminate (asside from story targets) I just wantmore variety in the open world
slidewaayz same here! I still want one with an AR, SMG, and sniper, but I want to choose their weapons and attachments and camo. It should be that each teammate is good with certain weapons (e.g. Weaver with snipers) but you can use any weapons for them
Ubisoft said that that just wouldn't work. Things like Weaver needing a Full-Auto capable sniper, which is why he uses the Mk14. It's the reason he uses that gun instead of the MSR, which is what he was shown to use in lots of promo material.
I wish there was a mechanic where if you reload in stealth it does a longer reload but keeps the ammo (tucks used magazine away with rounds left), but reloads like usual and dropping the magazine when engaged
@@markkocsis5255 Yeah. It would be neat if they did tactical reloads while not engaged, and speed reloads while engaged. They'd have to keep track of how much ammo was in each mag though so that when you reload with one of those mags, you'd only get what was left in the mag when you stowed it.
To me ghost mode is as pointless as tier 1 because I was already playing on extreme with immersive rules. It adds a permadeath which is only ultra annoying because of all kind of glitches
Excuses, it is not useless, it is another way of playing, you play in an extreme way, but with the tranquility of not losing anything, that makes you a vain and inefficient player. It's like playing a soccer game in which you know that sooner or later you will score the goal, in ghost mode you do not have the certainty of being able to score the goal. Thats is not inmersive if we talk about reality.
The pressure and adrenaline that you feel in the ghost mode make you a coward and that will make you a better player, and when you achieve a mission, the feeling of satisfaction is even greater. I know the game very well and there is no technical problem that can kill you instantly, you can only kill yourself for driving a motorcycle or a helicopter in a stupid way, you even have resuscitation, basically if you kill yourself, the fault is 60% yours and 40% It's the fault of the ''glitch''. And no, the ghost mode it adds more things than just a permadeath :) .
I think it's garbage that you have to recreate your character and squad again from scratch. Delete my progress, but don't force me to go back and redo my hair color, facial features and apparel. The prestige points are nice, but Call Of Duty can keep the Exosuits. Just when you think this game will begin to bolster more mil-sim aesthetics, it veers down the Narco Road.
Oh god I agree. There was one time where the default outfit was really cool, but I died and I only remembered the fact there were the Crye Precision Combat trousers in Chocolate Chip.
You realise that Ghost Mode isn't actually the easiest thing ever and dying doesn't make you bad? You died at least 10 times when you started playing, and I know that for a fact, because it happened to everyone. I half expect you to say that if you haven't gotten the Gold Exo in Ghost Mode you're bad.
Most painful death in ghost mode was; getting out of a helicopter at level 25...a random civilian goes off the road and hits the helicopter as I’m getting out. He pushed the helo close to the edge of a cliff as the animation was playing out. My character proceeded to exit the helo and didn’t touch the ground until about 100 feet later. Thanks for that...
My friend wanted to play ghost mode, I had already been playing and was level 27. Yesterday we were playing the first mission, I went to go down a hill I thought was small and wasn't worried about falling cause the character usually stops at high ledges. Well instead of stopping at the high ledge as normal he walked off at the same time as my friend and lost all my progress
I really wish there was a in-between of ghost mode and regular. I want realistic features like losing wasted ammo in magazines, but I don't want to lose everything if I die. Just like more gameplay options in regular or something.
Back in the days of socom you kept the magazine when reloading, but next time that same mag was put in there were just 23 or 29 (examples out of the video) bullets in it. That was most realistic in my mind, since it does not really make sense to throw away a magazine with 29 bullets still in it.
@@wukong6853 You have to survive around 20 engagements with him. Loop round a tree, use thermal vision, summon in rebels and distraction before entering the ring. Don't bother reviving your teammates. I think I used an ACR and the M249, using ots aiming. Took a few tries.
I died on my way to the final boss, decided to do Sam fischer's mission. Figured since the mission was to sneak in undetected without killing anyone it would be a full stealth mission. Did not expect him to be like alright good job now defend me from all the people you didn't kill and 10 rocket shooting helicopters. Got wiped out before I could escape. I'm pissed
One point to make. NEVER lose track that you are playing in Ghost mode before you decide to play around, especially with the UNIDAD forces... Lol totally forgot I was in Ghost mode and went guns blazing on the UNIDAD forces....died and lost 30 hours of play... 🤭🤭😖😖😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
One way I keep track is by equipping clothes that show your patch with the Ghost Mode patch equipped, as well as equipping the ATACS LE camouflage (that I never used in my vanilla campaign) on almost all of my clothes options.
After doing every mission in tear mode...ghost mode was kinda easy to figure out. All I need to do was avoid helicopters, unida and go full stealth mode...that’s what I love about ghost mode cause if you made a mistake...everything goes south and you ended up shit balls... Nice video man!
A bug killed me at lvl 18 in ghost mode. I got run over by a car that popped in. No car before I started Crossing the street, then "poof!" Car appeared. I noticed enemies popping in as well, I'll clear an area then one will show up out of nowhere.
There's a mission I was playing and unidad soldiers were spawning in while it was completely quiet. I have video of one manifesting right in front of me. They were spawning in as I was dropping them so I was very confused. It was a small gas station area and I marked every square inch and after taking them down several new ones were around. It happened in that one area multiple times. Oh it's the one where you gotta get the guy down from the tower and interrogate him and there's two snipers up with him. Think it's in remanzo.
@@thothheartmaat2833 I have only noticed this pop in issue during ghost mode, which is the worst time to have enemies spawning in! I dread doing the mission in flor de oro where you go meet that governor and get ambushed. That mission is designed to have enemies spawning in on top of you (the only time I noticed this outside of ghost mode)
@@jeffr5221 I'm sorry, it's the first mission in media Luna - El comandante. Interrogate the captain. I have a video, 2 guys spawn in right before my eyes in one playthrough. Trying to upload it. I suggest any ambush mission fly in on a helicopter but if it's unidad they kill you in a helicopter for some reason. Another suggestion is use the armored vehicle. That thing is no joke. Also my media Luna video is nonstop action and I use the armored truck for a very long time and take so much damage it's comical... Trying to upload it, UA-cam is blocking it for some reason. Can't figure out why..
I love ghost mode as it does make the game feel more similar to older entries in the series, however I would've appreciated a toggle on the permadeath feature.
I was playing with my friend on Ghost Mode and I went on The Store whilst in a chopper, went back in ‘the game’ and apparently I was dead. 23 hours gone because I was spending money on the game 🤦♀️
Darkdally: Thank you very much for your videos on this game. I really appreciate them a lot. They are concise and clear, without a lot of silly profanity and ranting. Keep up the good work!
I always get a chuckle when he mentions not doing something or covering something because he doesn't want to make the vid too long. But, for his informative type of vid, long is ok if it needs to be. I'm sure he's watching his metrics though.
One thing that scared the crap out of me that other people may be interested in knowing: even if you're down while you fail an objective, you don't permanently die. For example, I was stealing the drug lord's car, and I got downed at the same time the vehicle was destroyed. Even though I was down when the mission reset, I wasn't permanently reset because the failure wasn't triggered by me actually dying. Just a heads up.
What you said about Ghost mode is true. It can get a little...tense at times. I was a member of a lioness detachment in Iraq (what later became female engagement teams) and I swear I was more nervous playing ghost mode at times than I was over there! ;) "Immersion" Oh hell yeah! They cranked that up to 11. It's an amazing game. I LOVE the incredible attention to detail everywhere. Oh, and what you said about NOT riding dirt bikes or using helos? Is TRUE!! LISTEN TO HIM PEOPLE! I ride a bike IRL (a modded KX10R) and even worse in some ways, I ride horses as well. Both of which I ride A LOT (I live in MT). However, the ones in the game? You have to be batshit crazy to ride those the way I do when you really...REALLY don't want to die.... :| As far as helos? In a word: Unidad. So just don't.
Damn you served in Iraq??? You're badass! Thank you for your service🙏🥰. I have a special appreciation and fondness for real life soldiers playing military games and giving their opinions on them.
I started ghost mode put about 15 hours in and I was using a helicopter and when I got out I fell through the map my friend also got the bug and we both lost our stuff. I wasn’t happy but I’m not touching an aircraft on ghost mode ever again.
A few extra tips I've learned on how to get through it much faster and safer is avoid supply missions. This way you can avoid using aircraft for the vast majority of your playthrough. Stick with supply convoys. They not only reward more, but they're less risky to complete and they're much quicker to complete. As Dark said in a previous video: DLC editable weapons will be your friend. They offer all the sights and the suppressor right from the start. This will let you skip all the weapon cases and save a ton of time. If you want to go for them for the XP for Tier Mode, you still can obviously, but you saved a ton of time getting all the gear in the first place which is obviously the most important reward. Avoid Mortar, Vehicle Drop-off, and Spotting support missions. If you have DLC vehicles then you won't need Vehicle Drop-off in the first place. Mortar missions are the most risky. Lots of bad guys and vehicles closing in on you is never good. It's also the least useful support as well. Spotting missions usually require aircraft which you simply always want to avoid. Focus on maxing out your battery and range perks for your drone, and you won't even need Spotting except to save time. So by avoiding all those missions, sticking to supply convoys, and using DLC weapons and vehicles, you can avoid a few intel grabs, up to three rebel support missions types, and avoid aircraft in the supply missions all while progressing faster and safer and completing taking out buchons in 30-45 minutes.
Once you learn the locations of the AA plants, travelling by aircraft still should not be an issue. Still if you are not sure, then just spend a few more seconds to gain some extra altitude, and you'll be fine. Parachute did never fail for me.
Also if you can you can try to go for the "second chance" unlock fairly early on. twice a makeover. Ill remember to also just be ready to leave the game when I bug out or something.
Great tips. I just started ghost mode after finishing the regular mode. it’s really exciting. This game to me is almost perfect, and that saying a lot because I am a very hard critic.
To be honest the "Losing ammo after an early reload" isn't realistic, seeing as that ammo is just gone instead of stashed away. It's pretty dumb to just dump a clip you know already has ammo in it and leave it laying around, you'd at least save the magazine/clip for later. It's be more believed if you reloaded at one point, switched out the clip, but would randomly switch to the unfinished clip and have to expend it anyway.
It's more realistic than the normal "not a single unspent bullet is wasted" thing. Besides, if you wanted to have *that* much immersion, you may as well just play ARMA 3.
I was down in a fire fight and none of my squad bots revived me they just stood in the open shooting at enemy's and were taken down after bunch of rounds hitting them. They didn't even bother to revive me as if I wasn't down and I lost 20 hours or more of gameplay
I appreciate the sentiment of not creating a backup save, but a TON of my deaths on ghost mode and prior vanilla permadeath attempts have been due to glitches and not my incompetence. It's bad. I'm all about starting over if I legitimately botched it, but man... this game is too glitchy not too back up. I've recently had the "last chance" perk fail to activate. My A.I. has literally stood and watched me die. I've fallen through the map, rando cars have spawned on me, enemies have randomly spawned on me, etc. You catch the drift.
That's why that mode can't be taken properly. Is people wanting to get some ulcer from the stress of getting 20 or 30 hours of progress deleted in seconds ?? Lol
I think ghost mode is just redundant. They should've just given us options at the start of the game to switch on permanently for the entire play through. Things like ammobox only loadout edits, permadeath, no secondary primary etc.
100% agree. I don't want permadeath, but I want something like Extreme+ difficulty with watchful enemies, no markers, ammobox loadout change, strict reloading, etc. I don't want to play arcade with wallhack, but permadeath, that's not hardcore.
You know for all the people complaining out here I dont see a single one of you actually making the content that your complaining about I think its we'll put together albeit buggy in some places any gamer worth his salt can overcome the challenges of this mode walk through el suenos death parade and laugh in the face of santa muerte if not just play something like pubg or cod cause I like the feel of the game the way it was made is fine and I have yet to die by half the bugs anyones mentioned
@@phillipmcgill1973 idiot they are talking about liking the game and having all those aspects being ruined by one they aren't saying the game sucks you doof. If you don't like a movie ending do you make a while new movie dummy
There's a frame glitch in the game where if you start to lag or bug a tiny bit your frames immediately drop and makes it nearly impossible to move, and if You're hunted or engaged then you have no choice to accept your gate. I've died to this glitch 25 times. I want everyone to be aware of this.
It's no use. Take a Look to the sniper. He just goes full-auto with a bolt action sniper rifle and a 5 bullet mag. Their weapons are strange. I suppose by the sound when he fires full auto that he gets the Ak 74/12 statistics and sound. The Only one that seems legit is the guy with the light Scar if I'm not mistaken.
Pro tipp for all Console gamer. Use the Save data trick that means after every play session save you game data on a usb stick or in a cloud save (ps+/xbox-live). After a death you can copy your save game back to the console and play again like nothing happens.
Well the thing here is my friend Patches, uses the Deimos Crossbow for Stealth bits and rarely in any sort of combat situations, where as he uses the Mk18 in terms of aggressive gun fighting. A personal preference for balance of damage, accuracy, and handling. Complete with a grenade launcher to take out choppers. He's honestly showed me this after completing through 2 of the key-points (Security and Smuggling) at the time being, expressing this is his load out. In the whole avoiding choppers and bikes, its a matter of who's good with what. Try using an unarmed littlebird, its fast and its more likely to dodge trees and rockets in the right hands. Other than that, if you have at your disposal vehicles from your loot crates and all them shenanigans you can use those. Doesn't hurt to break the immersion a little bit. So for those with problems, either learn in the non-perma mode or straight avoid them like the damned plague. Brief Edit; If you have come to the recent updates of GRW, you can redeploy when not in a fight which can be exploited when "Hunted" if you are at risk of dying you can hit Redeploy the second you team-mate revives you, as you will be out of "Engaged" and into the "Hunted" phase. Its useful, but hella un-immersive but most folks just want to complete Ghost Mode.. Not sleep with it...
Between the absurdly observant, accurate and relentless ai and abundant insta death bugs, ghost mode should not have permadeath. This is definitely not the kind of game for such a punishing risk.
fun tip for ghost mode and general barro to do it easily in basically complete stealth. 1) after interrogating barro's daughter, fly with chopper at the edge of the lumber yard, but stay out of the crown icon and the ambush zone when flying. 2.) go on top of the lumber stack and shoot all the vehicles with SR25 Jungle so they start exploding. 3.) wait behind the lumber stack until general barro runs outside the ambush zone, and grab him and walk him to the chopper (theres no unidad alert because you didnt go into the ambush zone). 4.) after you put general barro into the chopper, fly with the heli into the ambush zone to trigger the ambush and just fly direct into the home base quickly. 5.) you shouldnt take any damage this way even. Tested to work on ghost mode! I think there was not any SAM sites on the direct path from the lumber yard into the home base in this mission.
Nope I'm still using bikes and aircraft but not as ballsy as before. Bikes need to be used with respect. Sam launchers are horrid but your only in trouble if your entire squad dies in the hit. If not you survive the crash if you stay in. Stay safe
Ghost mode is BS, I've already got the exo suit chest and back, but not without screaming at my T.V. multiple times. Good god, I'm playing in freaking ARCADE MODE with FULL EXPLOSION RESISTANCE and I quickly land my helicopter to avoid a Sam missile. I get out and the Sam missile hits the helicopter. And I see that god damn skull icon in the middle of that black screen. Ubisoft seems to have a tendency to make an awesome game, then make people flat out hate it later on
I also noticed something interesting in Ghost mode , in the normal game everyone dies from one shot with every weapeon no matter where you shoot , in ghost mode it sometimes happened that i shot an enemy with heavy armour at the cheast with low level ARs that they did not die.
i died about 5 times due to glitches, getting run over by civilians and unidad driving by when im at the map screen. I have to go the cloud on PS4 to revive my character. It best to manually upload your slot to the PS4 cloud and do not auto upload. Now i am at 50% progression with tier mode on at level 40 with guns for hire and rebel diversion fully max. I been fight at a long distance to avoid death. Ghost mode means literally you have to be very tactical in the missions.
The ammo thing,I think it's not really should be down like that, you drop your mag you drop all your ammo that's for sure, but in field, operators won't do that tactical reload all the time,if they feel like it's necessary to have a full mag loaded when their current mag had like 10 rounds in it and they are not engaged at the moment, they will put the used mag in their dump bag or something after the reload, and they will still have those ammo for later engagement, for me,the perfect setting should be if you are engaged means that your mini map(when HUD is on) turned red, your character should do the tactical reload,if not then your chararcter will just do a regular reload, but I understand it might be too much for a game like Ghost Recon Wildlands.
I really want to play Ghost Mode, but I never play with permadeath because of bugs and glitches. Maybe death should be costly (like remove a resource or something), but not permanent.
I've read several comments about dying to Unidad. I'm pretty sure but not a 100% sure that you can quit the game while "engaged." I think that the only way you get perma death by quitting the game is if your actually down. But if your engaged and still up, I'm pretty sure you can quit the game without perma death. Meaning that if you start to go into the 3'rd and 4'th Unidad threat meter and Unidad gunships start coming in along with waves of reinforcements; it would just be smart to quit the game instead of trying to run. I've tried that before and have run out of ammo and it's really hard to hide from Unidad gunships. So now if that happens to me, I just quit out of the game and if I was in the middle of a mission, I just try it again.
I had such a close call, I was in a UNIDAD armoured heli, and got locked and fired I luckily bailed out just before impact and almost hit into a cliff side. I luckily parachuted into a valley with no roads or pathways. I just sat there inside this valley after scraping death and fear of losing my character. I now take things very slowly and smartly.
I was downed one time, and I Alt + F4'd out of the game, then when I came back to the game my save file was gone. This was on PC, so I don't reccommend it.
Right now i'm playing Ghost Mode on Extreme and haven't unlocked Tier 1 mode just yet but when i do, that thing is going on. However, because i am already playing on the hardest possible difficulty before unlocking Tier 1 and plan to activate Tier 1, i am moving at a snails pace. Every mission and objective, no matter how insignificant it may look, i approach with military level of planning. Recon, plan, execute is what this game is all about. One thing that may help is unlocking the "Last Chance" perk. Without it, on Extreme difficulty, you only get 2 lives. My strategy with that is, you go down once, get revived, SCREW THE MISSION, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE NOW!!! With last chance you go down once, revive, continue the mission, go down again, revive, than get the hell out, your done. I also keep all of my HUD elements on and my AI Teammates. Your AI teammates can actually be very useful if you know how to use them strategically. Same thing goes for Rebel Resources. Hope that helps anyone out :) I am still playing my first attempt and have not died AT ALL so far and am still going strong thanks to these strategies and some of the tips this video mentions that i already knew about. I hope to be one of the few to beat Ghost Mode on there first attempt and have never died once. Wish me luck, this will be my biggest gaming challenge EVER!
Dark; just FYI - this happened to me last night/this morning. I know you are planning on doing video's on each wing or province. I finally finished security last night. On my map and my ghost mode progression chart, all of security was in the red. After I captured Muro I checked to see if I unlocked my boots and they were still locked, even though everything was in the red, so first I thought the game was bugging on me. I went back to the map screen and zoomed out and realized that I had only 90% of Montuyoc/Bookhart completed; (even though he was red in both screens). So I realized that even though I completed Montuyoc/Bookhart and it was in the red; it wasn't 100% completed. What I did was, I first picked up 3 pieces of intel (yellow folders) before I started any missions. (which is a speed run tactic) that allowed me to skip the weapons cache and Instructors missions and go straight to the mission of the run away cartel trainee. Which I did, which sent me to the Bookhart mission which I completed, which allowed me to complete Montuyoc and put it into the red/completed status. But it wasn't 100% because I had skipped the first 2 missions. So I realized that in order for me to get my boots, even though everything was in the red, I needed to go back and finish those first 2 Montuyoc missions. After which I finally unlocked my boots. Again just FYI for anyone who might have done this also.
I believe you should back up your saves, not for the Ghost Mode but for the game universally. Your saves are your property. Don't trust anyone else on it. And it has been proven Ubisoft is not trustworthy on this matter.
Thanks for the info Dark, I've already gotten all five parts of the exoskeleton suit, but I have yet to complete getting level 30, finding Sandaval's body, beating El comandate, and get to tier 1 (which I probably won't do), and I think to make it more interesting I'm going to roleplay my way to level 30. But yeah thanks for the info
@@Darkdally yeah I would stay away. I tried parachuting from my helo. It started going down like normal but my character glitched by not exiting. I went down with the helo and blew up along with it. Gameover. I was so fucking mad I haven't played ghost mode since. Smh
@@Ipotain yea dont parachute lol just land the chopper near the camp i just started today i have a feeling ima die fast but i wana see if i can restart ghostmode with no issues besides lost progress
Since the Ghosts are representative of Delta Force of the 5th SFG, you can kit out in US Army gear to add immersion. To do that, wear an ACU shirt with multicam pattern, cargo pants with kneepads that do multicam, tan boots, multicam IBA, the backpack with the canteen (also multicam), covered ACH multicam, the first glasses at the top of eyeglasses with black earpieces and dark shade lenses, multicam US Flag patch, and coyote tan pilot gloves. Weapon wise, use an M4 with 30 round mag, standard grenade launcher or a grip (2nd or 3rd one I believe), M4 comp score or ACOG, ATPIAL laser, and black paint. Also equip an M9 just the way it comes, maybe with the laser. Boom, standard US Army issue kit (source, Army vet, obviously... Got out in 2020)
Because it one shots just about everything and has a nearly non existent drop. Unidad patrols? Boom entire vehicle dead. Helicopters? Dead. I have taken out convoys at distances of 1.5k with half a mag in the Koani Province.
Started playing the game about a couple months ago, when it came out on psn premium, and booy, I love it, just beat the main campaign and the ghost mode got me excited, I loved how the tier levels forced me to play in a harder difficulty, essentially making me better in the game, what is good, I feel much more prepared to ghost mode
They should put effort on polishing a game that throws ya a mode that will punish you for errors you're not responsible . Kinda arrogant from them to think they were ready to launch something at that state
I started a game a couple years ago and had no idea what I was doing. Started a new one and still had no clue wtf ghost now was. Best video description, and shocked I made it as far as I did and just deleted them all to restart for real. Beat the game in all levels of difficulty, but I'm thinking regular for a one life game. Might even do arcade, but It's way too easy.
Lost 30 hours for forgetting I was in Ghost mode... Messed with UNIDAD on a chopper then a damn apache helicopter showed up blew me out of the sky...lol
I never actually realised that 4, yes, 4 “Ghosts” take down a whole Mexican (Bolivian) Drug Cartel (over 5000 “sicarios” if not.) and succeed. But this, this adds the ability of true life and death. Love this channel btw!
People complaining about getting stuck between rocks. There is thing called fast traveling.I hate seeing online teammates kill each other because someone got stuck in between rocks just fast travel.
The first ability I always unlock is parachute, then I use the OH6 rocket chopper. Fly as high as you can go. But avoid Media Luna! Always avoid Media Luna! Also Ubisoft needs to re-do all of the camouflage patterns.
Save scumming on an external USB flash drive in Tier One mode has prevented much frustration as you go up the Tiers. Works a treat on PS4. I can confirm this. Once I hit Extreme in Tier One, I started backing up after eliminating each Buchon/province. I hate the Permadeath idea, not because I’m bad at the game, but because of the bugs and glitches which still haven’t been patched. I managed to get through Arcade without dying on my third try (the three deaths being bug-related). Ghost mode in Arcade and Regular are fun, but Tier mode will give you a brain aneurism or a TIA in the later stages unless you save scum occasionally.
In Ghost mode especially, I suggest staying away from anything that is sharp, motor driven or that can start a fire. ;)
R.I.P to the people that have the habit of reloading after every bullet
It's hard
Well hard
so every single fps gamer ever(maybe not csgo)
I find it easy
I blew through 200 mk14 rounds in like 5 minutes because I kept reloading
I have 3 main tips for ghost mode solo:
Basically act like its life or death irl
And play on regular or arcade 😇
I cant tell you how many times a car has downed me
so......actually act and think like a Green Beret Commander
Harddrivexxii u forgot in 2 spotting
Here's a fun fact: You can abuse the option to turn off/on your AI teammates. If all 3 go down during an intense firefight, you can turn them off then back on immediately to revive them instead of risking your neck. This allows you the freedom to have the explosive/emp drone equipped instead of the medic one since you can only change those at ammo boxes.
Levi Willis where is that option? Didnt see it yet
Agrhonak I showed it in the video lol
lol Levi Willis. dangit. I wish I could unsee that fact. I'll probably use it in a pinch if I have to. Thanks for the info though :D
Awww, too bad Ubi doesn't beta test stuff before releasing it. Magically disappearing dead teammates and reappearing alive kinda defeats the point of the mode.
They actually come back anyway if you leave and go far enough away
Little advice I would add is if you are in a bad spot during a mission... Feel free to fail it. Shoot escorts, destroy mission vital equipment, etc... Better to get mission failed then overwhelmed and killed. Retreating should also be something to consider as well. Always be ready to break from engagements.
Yeah cause that's so realistic, if you failed in a real OP you would either be dead or court martialed or just in a lot of trouble. There is no restat in real life! So why play "realistic" if your gonna go against the meta.
@SNYDER Not all of us......
Defend it. Go ahead. You'll just look stupid doing so.
I commend you for admitting to bad choices instead of the "sCrEw DiS GaeM N ScReU UbiSoFt" cliché.
Also never leave the game while down. You will lose your character. If you know ur going to die, leave the game while up.

TY.
@Darkdally yes after the 2nd "man down" thats your Q to haul ass
"Just be careful gettiing out if vehicles, ALWAYS come to a complete stop." Just like in PUBG.
eh.. actually it does give a game over...

I think the safest way to get to tier 1 is to play on arcade mode. Take out a convoy, and switch to tier mode to get the reward from the truck. Switch back to arcade mode and repeat.
Slash Le Pew where’s the fun in that lol
Actually, if you have the La Cabra mission you can replay that part in a rocket chopper over and over very quickly to rack up tier points.

They cant fix these enemy respawn?.. its so stupiq
Helicopters I used because I memorized the sams and downloaded the map where they are.
angelofchoasdeath helicopters are nice until game decides to kill u, I lost 8:30hrs cuz I got shot down by mortar, usually when ur close to the ground u crash and can get out before the helicopter blows up, but game decided I should die 😒
Maybe I'll try again but I won't put much or any focus on upgrading stuff cuz that takes allot of time.
You're right when game wants you died your dead.
*DO NOT* fly low over that airstrip. there's about 3 SAM's very close to that airstrip.
just go to the plane go in, then out and get a car.
No fast traveling tho.
Interesting. I tried that but I fast traveled, so I figured it wasn't possible to go with a car too.
Slash Le Pew I did that mission without taking those out, and I narrowly avoided the rockets that were shot at me
Avoid being in vehicles enitrely, when a vehicle gets destroyed and you're inside, you CAN be healed by your team, but it'll most likely be engulfed in flames long before they get you back on your feet.
I died numerous times on Ghost Mode inside of vehicles, so get used to hoofing it and bushwacking through the sticks, but tread carefully, don't underestimate a drop.
Oh, and don't base jump unless you're 100% certain your chute will deploy in time... lol
I only use helis at high enough altitude so if a SAM targets me, I can jump and be have no risk of dying
I just died that way today. It was my 5th try in ghost mode
Could really use more PvE content though, more side missions like hostage rescue or vehicle extraction (to aid rebels) and repeatable side missions as well, maybe some randomly generated HVTs that you have to capture or eliminate (asside from story targets) I just wantmore variety in the open world
Zack F whilst I LOVE the challenge missions in PvE, I think we need more REGULAR missions. Or a new area with NO missions. That’d be fine.
I agree & I like those suggestions
Just play ARMA 3 they have all that. Randomly generated missions and more.
I want to customize my ai teammates weapon load out already!!!
And command them individually
Command them... good lord command them.... I'll take that shit over loadouts all day
slidewaayz same here! I still want one with an AR, SMG, and sniper, but I want to choose their weapons and attachments and camo. It should be that each teammate is good with certain weapons (e.g. Weaver with snipers) but you can use any weapons for them
Who remembers the socom is navy seals days?....
Ubisoft said that that just wouldn't work. Things like Weaver needing a Full-Auto capable sniper, which is why he uses the Mk14. It's the reason he uses that gun instead of the MSR, which is what he was shown to use in lots of promo material.
Technically, when you reload with ammo still in the magazine, you should end up with 31 after you reload because there is one in the chamber.
Exactly, I wish games did this.
I believe Insurgency Sandstorm has that mechanic :)
Tbh I used the unidad chopper for about 80% of it, even to tier 1, if you know where the anti aircraft missiles are your pretty safe
i'm late to the party, but i just finished Ghost Mode yesterday ! :))
I'm late too but congratulations!!
I'm even later, well done man.
now you must join the tier 1 gang
To me ghost mode is as pointless as tier 1 because I was already playing on extreme with immersive rules. It adds a permadeath which is only ultra annoying because of all kind of glitches
Safa uhh we got a tryhard here
Safa Yes. Agreed.
El Deka get a life
Its not pointless you get prestige points for every boss you kill. We all know prestige points get you prestige crates
We need red dot scopes on our handguns
That's my new name for holographic sights now.
hhahahhahahahha red dot scopes. I love you.
It wasn't a thing in 2015.
Wait, what? That makes no sense. Having to recreate your character is a legitimate critique, and not liking that doesn't make you bad.
@kb 2x You say that as if ghost mode is the easiest thing in the world, lol. I bet you've died atleast once too.
@@craberrations since I started playing this game in 2017 I have never died.
Bro same here
I also like the single primary too
Back in the days of socom you kept the magazine when reloading, but next time that same mag was put in there were just 23 or 29 (examples out of the video) bullets in it. That was most realistic in my mind, since it does not really make sense to throw away a magazine with 29 bullets still in it.
SOCOM, the king. Absolutely adored that franchise and miss it badly.
@stanettiels7367 wasn't a new SOCOM game in its way? I'm pretty sure that I've read an article about it 😄
Do the predator mission in ghost mode.
Have fun...
You're fucking evil
No, I can't even do it normally lmao.

Wasent that hard
someone still finds predator hard lol ?
Instant turnoff PS4 or whatever you play with pull the cable
Always check your bag if you got 1 or 2 guns
One way I keep track is by equipping clothes that show your patch with the Ghost Mode patch equipped, as well as equipping the ATACS LE camouflage (that I never used in my vanilla campaign) on almost all of my clothes options.
For me I repeat in my head "I don't wanna die here" to then get paranoid and avoid doing shit like facing 1v1 me vs Unidad
"Parachutes are unreliable"
Just like in real life!
"This game is not without its bugs."
Damn right. I got run over by my own helicopter trying to do a paradrop and lost my Ghost Mode save.
Also my media Luna video is nonstop action and I use the armored truck for a very long time and take so much damage it's comical... Trying to upload it, UA-cam is blocking it for some reason. Can't figure out why..
This happen to me today, while I was trying to run away from the predator.
Good ole Ubisoft fucking shit up as usual and people wonder why this mode wasn't ready to be launched , lol
I love ghost mode as it does make the game feel more similar to older entries in the series, however I would've appreciated a toggle on the permadeath feature.
Just do extreme difficulty on the regular game mode. Pretty much the same but without the permadeath

Darkdally: Thank you very much for your videos on this game. I really appreciate them a lot.
They are concise and clear, without a lot of silly profanity and ranting. Keep up the good work!
Thanks man, that's always my goal.
Also if you stay above 1000m Sam's won't even notice you at all
My 7 year old showed me this.
This would've been useful for me years ago😭😭😭
I for one, love to rock the dirtbikes, just don't go off road until you scan your route
You sound like a badass lol
Me?? No no. Not at all. I'm a princess and play with Barbie dolls an shit. >;}
Damn you served in Iraq??? You're badass! Thank you for your service🙏🥰. I have a special appreciation and fondness for real life soldiers playing military games and giving their opinions on them.
I call bullshit. Don't even know where to start here as someone who's served in Iraq and now builds bikes for a living.
I have already started a 2nd Character in Ghost Mode I love it so much, Great Video my Bro.
Thanks man :)
Roger that Bro.

There's a frame glitch in the game where if you start to lag or bug a tiny bit your frames immediately drop and makes it nearly impossible to move, and if You're hunted or engaged then you have no choice to accept your gate. I've died to this glitch 25 times. I want everyone to be aware of this.
Wish I could change my AI squad's loadouts.

Great vid! How you only got 39k subs? Your channel is awesome 👏🏼🇬🇧
thanks :) working on getting more subs. just takes time. Thank you for watching :)
That's the thing I did the entire Clancy games series always has a permadeath game mode
fun tip for ghost mode and general barro to do it easily in basically complete stealth.
Stay safe
This Ghost Mode looks appealing to me. Never played any Ghost Recon games before, but this reminds me a little of the Antistasi campaigns for Arma 3.
Can you also do this on the Xbox one,if so can you tell me how.
Maybe death should be costly (like remove a resource or something), but not permanent.
the best option would be to realistically save up magazines, in turn for a longer reloading time, so that the ammo CAN be saved.
How is 7250 a 50% Increase from 5000? a 50% Increase is 7500...
Just the comment I was looking for, I thought no one else noticed this
50% of 5000 is 2500
5000 + 2500 = 7500
My Game crashed while i was fighting... 67h gone -_____-

Sounds like this game mode is made just for you 🙃
Dark; just FYI - this happened to me last night/this morning.

Maybe, if you shoot 7 rounds & reload you have a 23 round magazine left in your pouch
SR25 jungle has literally been a life saver dealing with unidad
How so?
Because it one shots just about everything and has a nearly non existent drop. Unidad patrols? Boom entire vehicle dead. Helicopters? Dead. I have taken out convoys at distances of 1.5k with half a mag in the Koani Province.
I'll check it out
how much did you upgrade it?
Started playing the game about a couple months ago, when it came out on psn premium, and booy, I love it, just beat the main campaign and the ghost mode got me excited, I loved how the tier levels forced me to play in a harder difficulty, essentially making me better in the game, what is good, I feel much more prepared to ghost mode

I really wish Ubisoft would put this much effort into farcry 5. That whole recycling of the weekly events is a joke!
They should put effort on polishing a game that throws ya a mode that will punish you for errors you're not responsible . Kinda arrogant from them to think they were ready to launch something at that state

New ending??? You mean their are three endings now??
The Beni he said there is a bonus ending after the good ending just for ghost mode
The first ability I always unlock is parachute, then I use the OH6 rocket chopper. Fly as high as you can go. But avoid Media Luna! Always avoid Media Luna!
Also Ubisoft needs to re-do all of the camouflage patterns.
This is how ghost recon always was. Two primaries was stupid.
I'm not a prior ghost recon player but I thought that having two primaries was stupid as fuck
