We try to live according to the words of the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 58) who tells us: “Share your bread with the hungry, shelter the oppressed and the homeless; clothe the naked; don’t turn your back on your own. Remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech.” And the prophet tells us that if we live like that, then: “Your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your own wounds shall quickly be healed. You shall call, and the Lord will answer. You shall cry for help, and he will say: Here I am! Your light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday.”
Thank you. I listen to your sermons and other lectures several days a week. I’m also at least an active Catholic. I agree with your examples of Christians losing their savor and not opposing evil. I was hoping that you would take your point and examples even closer to our hearts and church and include the example of our church not opposing the horrible disgrace of abuse within our church. It would have hit home. It was and is for all of us to prevent and we didn’t. I’m not throwing rocks at windows here.

Thank you Bishop Baron a lot a food for thought
A very important and insightful podcast. As a man of Faith, I must be a light and witness to Jesus and Mary in my community and country.
