Thanks for sharing this. I loved this quest, but didn't stumble upon this truck with the energy drinks and neither did I notice the stalkers talking about it. I had a load of energy drinks on me so I completely missed this. Very cool detail!
It's cool how different playthroughs can be cause I just did this mission yesterday and I didn't find the note cause that area was so annoying lol. I also haven't found the ASVAL but I want it!!
I absolutely love little interactions like these. They make the game feel more alive, like my actions track over time. I feel like it's easy to zone out with traditional RPGs nowadays, this makes me curious if there are other hidden interactions
Is it a Wizard of Oz reference? I may not remember much, but for me it feels like the "Sleepy Poppy Fields" came up either in some Ukranian folklore and fairytales or were brought up by my grandmother from Volyn' (poppies are pretty significant in the local harvesting rituals, and poppy seeds are used extensively in sweets.). I may be mistaken, but this may not even have the Wizard of Oz as a reference.
@@Nazar_MelnykI'd say it's 50/50, there was an adaptation (although it wouldn't be far off to just call it plagiarism) of wizard of oz that people from post ussr countries could be familiar with called "wizard of the emerald city" so it's entirely possible that the devs were familiar with the story (both copy and original, since it's not hard to find it on the internet), but it could as well be folkloric
The fact that they made a Poppy Field anomaly makes me think that it represents the first world war. Kinda a physical representation of the Flanders Fields song
Maybe so. There are other references people seem to be coming up with as well. Like "The wizard of oz", and "Opium fields". Honestly, I'm pretty sure it's a nod to Flanders field too. Either way, it's a neat anomaly.
Thats a cool detail i didnt think they would add. i love how if you steal everything you hear depression in his voice but if you leave the note and take everything else hes just pissed off, seems like that note ment more too him then the drinks did.
Whats funny is it doesn't make sense you take everything of value. There no reason for anyone to go near it. Once you leave. You take the only artifact. Unless peoppe go looking for the blue poppies but I didn't see any the whole time I was running around
@@crazychase98 That’s not the point, the point is that people will pass through the area no matter what, so the guy wanted to try and potentially save lives.
I'm sure many players won't notice that the dialogue can change, but those who do will get a smile out of it. I always appreciate when developers make the effort of adding small, optional details to their games, it makes the game world feel a bit more alive.

I like when games have dynamic dialogue that changes based on what you do in the world, and said dialogue isnt something that you're forced into and is something you can miss. Makes the world actually feel alive, like you should be able to actually see the guy checking out the bag if you catch him in the process of it.
My favourite part of this quest is when you give the icon to the guy to get the gun, but the quest doesnt end knowing full well that you could still complete it.

A poppy field that makes you fall asleep is terrifying to me. Feels freaking haunted to me; like the dead are pulling me down and tempting me to rest forever.
Must find The Wizard of Oz (the original or its Soviet adaptation; it doesn't much matter) similarly terrifying then. It was in there. The recent Wicked adds a touch of irony to it because in its interpretation, it only exists because the green Witch wanted to save the Cowardly Lion when he was young - only for him to not remember it anyway.
so accurate too.. people only charitable as long as others react positively to it, proving that even charity is born out of fairness and not out of charity lmao
Very cool attention to detail. So glad this game is pc and xbox exclusive currently. Microsoft needs a win. And GSC says no plans for ps5 at all. Which is good cause once the performance is fixed, people might have a reason to get an Xbox in some capacity.
praising exclusivity is a really immature take. Microsoft is the third most valuable company in the world, and it isn't the responsibility of developers to release games exclusively for people to buy an Xbox, it's the responsibility of Microsoft to create a product worth buying over a Playstation. Also, why deprive people the opportunity to play the games they want to play?
@@thesomeone96 xbox needs a win. If this can be it, so be it. If xbox backs out of competition fully, sony becomes a monopoly. So yes, xbox needs more exclusives. Especially when sony pays off devs to make games timed exclusive/fully exclusive all the time.

Not even putting some energy drinks in the stash but if you come back later there is another note from someone saying that this drinks saved his life and he puts a railing as gift inside the stash. Damn, I love this game so much! ❤️
Someone loot everything in the zone but I'm just a chill guy with radiation.
I've always appreciated games that include details like this. It really makes world feel alive and responding to your action.
little things like this give me the next gen feel
I absolutely love little interactions like these. They make the game feel more alive, like my actions track over time. I feel like it's easy to zone out with traditional RPGs nowadays, this makes me curious if there are other hidden interactions
Wizard of Oz reference that's referencing actual opium poppy fields
It didn't even dawn on me that this was a Wizard of Oz reference until now! Awesome!
Opium poppies are actually purple.
I wasn't aware. I thought it was a cool art direction with the motif of "Elysium"
As an audio designer, I'm so glad people notice this stuff and it makes me so happy that people appreciate it
Didn't find this, but now it has me second guessing my habit of hoarding notes and PDAs.
If you leave more than 10 energy drinks in there you also get unique dialogue for adding surplus. They thought of it all.
In ukrainian folklore Red Poppies usually portrayed as a gravestone for cossacks who lost their lives in battle.
This is about our heroes and innocent vіс tims of WW2, Soviet Union terrror and w@r in Ukr sinse 2014
>me pouring 20 grams of powderized cocaine into a Red Bull to try and help save the next person who comes by
Meanwhile me who did it without any energy drinks
I 100% missed this, and didnt realize the guys at the campfire told things dynamic to what you do, that's awesome.
Thats a cool detail i didnt think they would add. i love how if you steal everything you hear depression in his voice but if you leave the note and take everything else hes just pissed off, seems like that note ment more too him then the drinks did.
Damn. I stole everything because I’m a brainless, heartless survivalist lmao.
Whats funny is it doesn't make sense you take everything of value. There no reason for anyone to go near it. Once you leave. You take the only artifact. Unless peoppe go looking for the blue poppies but I didn't see any the whole time I was running around
@@crazychase98 I gave the guy the religious artifact for the quest and I got a crazy good weapon for not giving it back to the owner
This scene alone is better that the entire Dragon Age Veilguard
This taught me to read the notes about the stashes. Else I’m usually just a robber 😅
Come on guys stop bullying Buckwheat
I understand the effects of the poppy fields/ opium but I envy of OP already having the vss vintorez in their inventory
Attention to the detail, dam, I love it
Despite all the setbacks Stalker 2 has, it's still better than most AAA releases in the last few years
what happens if you leave somthing else in the backpack, like ammo or food. not an energy drink
There's actually a line for that, I didn't play the game myself, but some people mention that he did react to those things too.
One detail I love in this game is that if you decide to take a job that’s a hit on someone and warn the person they pay you and you can still take them out and get double the pay and people will call you things like “the new strenlok (no idea how to spell it) its so gratifying really scratches that anti-social personality itch
The fact the English VA is a British guy as well just adds to it.
I'm Canadian and every year on remembrance day (nov 1rst) my school would play "in Flanders fields" and they would show us a poppy field with a wooden fence in the exact same position that it is in in the game, only I don't remember a barn in the field ever.
Nice. Now they only need to add A-Life, cut the damn spawning out of nowhere, and fix the performance issues...
yeh i put it down after a few hours, will wait a while for some patches
its so close. its right there at true greatness. They just need to fix it. and maybe nerf the too high armor of mutants lol.
I don’t have any problems with performance, but agree with A-Life part
There is a mod, I dont have the link right now, I download it 2 days ago and I have 0 bugs, zero performance issues and zero spawning from 50m behind. It was in nexus mods.
So basically make new game 😂 I feel so scammed it’s beyond my comprehension
In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Man the AAA industry has been missing including quality stuff like this.
They dont give em enough credit
It's not AAA then
I am a neurotic looter, I just grab everything not nailed down and sort through it later. I never would have noticed this interaction, but I'm so pleased that it's there.
If only the NPCs had believable schedules and didn't just pop into existence everywhere I go
I love this in games, It adds so much immersion!
This is what we've been missing for so long, That many games in the past had!
yo bro is that the ultimate edition items? if so please where did you get them since i preorderd ultimate edition and i cannot find it
But please do tell me guys
We need more semi-dynamic interactions within games, as it can change storylines in a good way! Gives you more 'power' over your choices
I have not buy the game yet, but I want to know, is there an option to put the dialogue in ukrainian an subtitles in english?
Yes there is
A man of culture right there! :D
P.S. Nice music you got there on your account
@@Yen0T OMG! Thank you so much! I truly appreciate it. :)
I like when games have dynamic dialogue that changes based on what you do in the world, and said dialogue isnt something that you're forced into and is something you can miss. Makes the world actually feel alive, like you should be able to actually see the guy checking out the bag if you catch him in the process of it.
i didnt found the stash while playing
There's several only found them cause I died an looked agin after respawing.
My favourite part of this quest is when you give the icon to the guy to get the gun, but the quest doesnt end knowing full well that you could still complete it.
Oh damn never knew
Reminds me of a video, where a guy placed a bunch of food in crates on a side of a street. Which has a ... _certain_ ending.
OH.... oh no.... I didn't think the developers didn't think that far ahead. The first STALKER games were pretty consequence free.
thank you Super Earth and the ministry of truth for giving this video the freedom it deserves
i was so broken after those lines. actly, left some and took the note. than sold it. after, heard that line, and immediately bought back that note. gonna put it back, no mater what
small details like this is what add immersion to games
Stalker in British accents lol....
You can switch it to Ukrainian with subtitles
I left a bunch of food and rad drugs, and it still popped the dialog for stolen note, left energy drinks.
That's really cool
Been playing on stalker difficulty and there is no shortage of consumables. Its just flavor, I wouldn't get upset about it. I'm impressed they made the effort to code it three different ways.
Unfortunaly this game its not available for ps5 🥺
Yeah, it's a shame, but at least you guys have great games we don't
@Ananonymousguy-nk9oj bruv we playstation players dont have retro compatibility with ps3 games on our ps5 unless we get a remastered/remake or we pay extra bucks for the premium tier of ps plus but even in that case the games are very limited
While Xbox players have retro compatibility of the 360 games with their series x
And lets not even talk about pc players
it will be
@@maki49574 yeah sure just like xbox players will have a version of helldivers 2 playable on xbox 🤪
You’re not missing much. It’s a broken mess.
A mid tier Fallout 4 rip off.
It *is* the zone we're talking about here, charity is more expensive in there compared to the outside
I have not played this game yet.
Interactions like this make me excited
Very cool attention to detail. So glad this game is pc and xbox exclusive currently. Microsoft needs a win. And GSC says no plans for ps5 at all. Which is good cause once the performance is fixed, people might have a reason to get an Xbox in some capacity.
Exclusives are a bad thing for the consumers. In a perfect world, the games should be released on all platforms, so that everyone could enjoy them.
What is bro yapping about, don't start acting like a Sony fan and applaud exclusivity.
praising exclusivity is a really immature take.
@@FulfillMyWill in a perfect world yeah. But in a business standpoint, sony has been crushing xbox for a while now. Xbox needs a win, and if they keep up patching this game, xbox will have a good, heavy hitting exclusive.
The poppy field I feel like it's a nod to the poem called " Flanders fields" about the many who died during ww1
Use the ukrainian voices )))))
Why? To hear pigs?

But in the same time those drinks aren't affecting "going asleep" visuals which is the only thing you can consider to know when the sudden death appears. So i had no idea am i good or not. And the only man in location from his words survives only due to being in the house while you can die in any other house in the same location. This little detail is cool but i would prefer big things done well rather than small
just remember that one developer of stalker was killed on the war.
Because russion....
